JOURNAL OF HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL STUDIES is a journal that uses a double-blind peer review model that can be accessed online. The purpose of HUMAS JOURNAL is to publish a journal containing quality articles that will be able to contribute thoughts from a theoretical and empirical perspective in society and humanities at a regional, national, and global scale. The writings at JOURNAL OF HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL STUDIES will significantly contribute to critical thinking in the area of society and humanities. The scope of the fields contained in HUMAS JOURNAL covers the following areas: social work, social welfare, social change, and social policy; humanism and human rights; corporate governance, and community studies; crosscultural and multiculturalism studies; economy, management, population and development studies; ethics, and intergroup relations; war, conflict, and international relations; local genius (local wisdom and local knowledge); popular culture; studies of inequality (class, race and gender studies); theology philosphy art literature and other related areas. Abstract

This research aims to find out: the management of the Al-Amin Islamic Boarding School in forming the independence of its students, the efforts of the Al-Amin Islamic Boarding School in forming the independence of its students, and the obstacles faced by the Al-Amin Islamic Boarding School in forming the independence of its students. The research was conducted at the Al-Amin Islamic Boarding School, Purwakarta, for six months, from February to July 2023. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive method, meaning that the research intends to carry out an investigation by describing/describing the current state of the research object/subject based on visible facts or as they really are. Data collection was carried out by means of observation and interviews and supported by existing documents. The procedure for collecting data was carried out by interviewing the leadership of the Al-Amin Islamic Boarding School, the ustadz and ustdzah, students and parents. Data analysis was carried out by comparing each respondent's answer with the actual conditions observed. The research concluded that the role of the Al-Amin Islamic boarding school in forming the independence of students is very large, the feeling of independence for students since they take part in the selection for accepting new students, discipline of students in participating in various activities both at the boarding school and at school so as to produce graduates with various skills in accordance with the readiness and demands of society . The efforts made by the Al-amin Islamic Boarding School to shape the independence of its students are by instilling a sense of responsibility in the students, fostering an attitude of autonomy in the students, developing an attitude of initiative in the students and fostering an attitude of self-control in the students. The obstacles faced by the Al-Amin Islamic Boarding School in establishing the independence of its students include internal factors, namely inhibiting factors that come from the students themselves and external factors in the form of a lack of facilities/infrastructure to support students' activities, weak enforcement of student discipline due to there is still a lack of supervision by ustadz

Abstract

This research departs from the hypothesis that there is a positive influence of diglossia on the ability to express opinions in grade 3 elementary school students. This research aims to reveal the use of two language variations, namely high language variety (T) and low language variety (R) and their influence on speaking abilities, especially in expressing opinions to children. This research uses a qualitative method approach to determine the process of optimizing the influence of diglossia on education. Data collection techniques use library research, reading, processing and data techniques. The results obtained show that students who integrate diglossia in Indonesian language learning, especially the ability to express opinions, show greater biliteracy and increased cognitive flexibility than students who receive monolingual education in general. Combining these two varieties of language can also foster a better understanding of cultural tropes and customs. This research advances knowledge about the educational potential of diglossia and opens the door to the creation of pedagogical strategies that maximize its benefits for learning excellence and student development in expressing insightful and culturally competent opinions.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the speech of the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, which was published on jabartribunnews.com in 2021, conveying about the implementation of training based on industrial cooperation and the world of work related to vocational and vocational training. Ridwan Kamil said that the regional government of West Java Province was encouraging industry to enter college and provide applied knowledge, especially to Vocational High Schools (SMK). This step was taken to ensure that vocational school graduates are ready to work because vocational school graduates are the biggest cause of unemployment in West Java. This problem arises, one of the causes is the quality of graduates who lack competence in accordance with the demands of the world of work. For educational services, quality is a big issue, especially in relation to the quality of graduates, and has recently received special attention, becoming a hot topic of discussion among education observers, government circles, commercial and educational institutions and others. The low quality of teaching staff, the high cost of education and poor curriculum management are some of the causes of the low quality of graduates. The focus of research in this thesis is (1) How does the vocational curriculum plan improve the quality of graduates at Al Huda Vocational School, Kedungwungu?, (2) How does the vocational curriculum plan implement in improving the quality of graduates at Al Huda Vocational School, Kedungwungu?, and (3) How does the curriculum be evaluated? vocational education in improving the quality of graduates at Al Huda Vocational School, Kedungwungu? This research aims to (1) Analyze vocational curriculum planning in improving the quality of graduates at Al Huda Vocational School, Kedungwungu, (2) Analyze the implementation of the vocational curriculum in improving the quality of graduates at Al Huda Vocational School, Kedungwungu, and (3) Analyzing vocational curriculum evaluations in improving the quality of graduates at Al Huda Kedungwungu Vocational School. Abstract

MAN 1 Musi Rawas is a faith-based educational institution and is able to exist and compete with public schools and has students with good character so that it becomes a magnet for the community to join MAN 1 Musi Rawas. The purpose of this study is to (1) describe and analyze curriculum management in shaping the character of students in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Musi Rawas and (2) know the character of students in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Musi Rawas. This research uses a qualitative type of research with a case study approach. The object of this research was carried out at MAN 1 Musi Rawas. Data collection techniques using Observation, Interviews, and Documentation. Data sources in this study include the Head of Madrasah, Deputy Head of Madrasah for Curriculum, Deputy Head of Madrasah for Student Affairs, teacher council, TU staff, students and the community. Analysis techniques in this study are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusions. The triangulation used to test the validity of data is the triangulation of techniques and sources. The results showed that (1) Curriculum Management in Shaping the Character of MAN 1 Musi Rawas Students consisted of: 1) Curriculum planning. 2) Organizing consists of intracurricular and extracurricular. 3) Implementation of the curriculum. 4) Curriculum evaluation. (2) Character of MAN 1 Musi Rawas students 1) Religious Values, learners. 2) Value discipline. 3) The Value of Social Care.

Abstract

The lack of intrinsic motivation in students to do positive things is something that needs to be considered by school management. Teachers are used to giving rewards to students to form positive habits, so that students are willing to carry out their obligations if a gift is given. Based on these problems, researchers are trying to examine how school management has strategies to increase intrinsic motivation in order to improve positive character and culture in students in particular. The aim of the research is to analyze Strategic Management to Build Intrinsic Motivation at SD Plus 3 Al Muhajirin and to analyze the impact of Strategic Management to Build Intrinsic Motivation to Improve Character and Positive Culture in SD Plus 3 Al Muhajirin Students. This research method uses qualitative methods. Data collection techniques in this research include interviews, observation, attitude scales and documentation studies. The results of this research are an increase in students' positive character and culture which comes from intrinsic motivation and the role of teachers, students, parents and all school residents. This can be seen from the percentage that has increased in each cycle. Teachers as developers and implementers are expected to have the ability to manage, and become role models for students so that they continue to create noble morals and positive discipline, so that through the learning process they are undergoing, they continue to achieve the highest level of happiness in accordance with Ki Hajar Dewantara's educational goals. The role of the school principal is as a supporter in implementing this theory and the results of this research can be a reference according to school needs.

Abstract

This research began with the researcher's interest in seeing the progress of a forum called the Diniyah Takmiliyah Communication Forum (FKDT) in Subang district which was deemed successful in carrying out several strategies and steps that brought 731 Diniyah Madrasah institutions in Subang Regency towards improving quality. The aims of this research are to 1) Find out FKDT's strategy for improving the quality of Diniyah madrasas in Subang, and 2) Find out the impact of the strategy implemented by FKDT to improve the quality of Diniyah madrasas in Subang. This research uses qualitative research with a case study approach. The object of this research was carried out at the Subang Regency FKDT office. Apart from that, as additional data the researcher also visited the Ministry of Religion of Subang Regency, and several Islamic Madrasahs in Subang. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. Data sources in this research include the FKDT chairman, FKDT administrators, the Ministry of Religion of Subang district and several madrasa heads in Subang district. The results of the research show that 1) FKDT's strategy to improve the quality of Diniyah madrasahs in Subang district is to carry out superior programs such as holding FKDT cooperatives, annual grand graduations, annual santri camps, and annual Diniyah Madrasah management training. 2) The impact of the FKDT strategy for improving quality Diniyah madrasah in Subang, namely the existence of Diniyah teacher incentives which are sustainable to this day, increasing the quality of school principals and teachers through training, students who excel through the district level Porsadin event, students who have moral character, the establishment of cooperation with various government agencies, and also the establishment of cohesiveness and cooperation between diniyah throughout Subang district.

Abstract

The structural approach has been widely used by researchers to reveal the implied meaning in a literary work. Drama as a literary genre is built by physical elements that bind each other into one complete story so that it can be acted out in a drama performance. This research aims to analyze the structure of the drama script "Operasi" by Putu Wijaya. A structural approach is used to identify and describe the intrinsic elements that make up the entire text of a drama script. The elements analyzed include theme, plot, characters and characterization, setting, dialogue, message, and so on. In-depth analysis of a script's structure helps understand how the story is structured, conflict develops, characters develop, and themes are conveyed. This analysis uses a qualitative descriptive research method by utilizing qualitative data and describing it descriptively. The aim of this research is to reveal how the drama script "Operasi" is a reflection of society and current social conditions through the structure of its construction. Apart from that, its relevance to learning in schools can develop a deeper understanding of literary works. This scientific article highlights the artistic excellence of manuscripts and the importance of understanding structural analysis in appreciating and interpreting literary works. It is hoped that the results of the structural analysis of the drama script "Operasi" by Putu Wijaya will be able to add to the literature for further research.

Abstract

Based on the background, the implementation of strategy in management involves great efforts in transforming the strategic objectives, namely the implementation of school education programs. Therefore, the ability of school principals and other school personnel to implement a strategy in educational management is the most important thing related to skills as leaders and teachers as professionals. The research focus in this study is what is the principal's strategy in managing the education program at Hasan Jufri Bawean Vocational School? and what are the implications of the principal's strategy in managing the education program at Hasan Jufri Bawean Vocational School. The aim is to find out how the principal's strategy is in managing superior programs and the implications of the principal in managing superior programs at Hasan Jufri Bawean Vocational School. This research uses strategic management theory, principal theory, leadership theory, and superior program theory. This research uses a qualitative approach by looking for meaning based on data sources using field research, this research was conducted at Hasan Jufri Bawean Vocational School, data collection through a structured interview process, observation and documentation, data analysis method using descriptive analysis method, namely a data analysis method that describes or describes the state of the research object. The validity of the data uses triangulation by combining several existing data collection techniques and data sources. The school has two vocations, namely Marine Fishing Nauticals (NKPI) and Institutional Financial Accounting vocations (AKL). Has several superior programs. Like the program, it is required to carry out pakerin (industrial work practices) or known as PKL. The PKL program is implemented when students are in class XI. This is a mandatory program that must be followed by every student, for 6 months. The location of the PKL depends on each major, for the AKL (Institutional Financial Accounting) major, it is usually located at BMT Sidogiri, Mitra Bank, Pegadaian, Hospital and so on. For the NKPI (Nautics Marine Fishing) event, it is located at the sahbandar, Bawean Harbor, Lamongan Harbor and BMKG. Because the school does not yet have cooperation with any company. The implications of implementing the principal's management strategy at Hasan Jufri Bawean Vocational School are proven by the presence of alumni who work in several company installations. The principal of Hasan Jufri Bawean Vocational School is collaborating with the Gresik district BKK (Special Job Exchange) where all information related to job vacancies will be conveyed to Hasan Jufri Bawean Vocational High School (SMK) alumni. With the hope that all alumni can get jobs in their respective fields.

Abstract

Education management is the entire process of organizing it through the joint efforts or efforts of two or more people to use effectively, efficiently and rationally all resources that support the achievement of educational goals. This research discusses the formation of students' religious character through habituation programs and religious activities at MA Al-Ikhlash Jambar Kuningan. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research approach and type. The data collection techniques used by researchers in this research are observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique in this research is using qualitative descriptive methods. From the research conducted by researchers, the results obtained are that the formation of students' religious character at MA AL- Ikhlash Jambar can be applied in several ways both during learning activities and outside class hours or religious activities. The implementation of religious activities held by MA AL-Ikhlash Jambar is Dhuha prayer in congregation, praying together before starting lessons, obligatory prayer in congregation, istighotsah together, Al-Qur'an reading and writing program, Islamic holiday activities, Jum program. 'at share. Of course there are supporting and inhibiting factors in this activity, such as there are still some students who do not take part in the activity and also some infrastructure is inadequate. The efforts made by the school are to discuss it with the class teacher, then the guidance counselor and accompanied by inviting parents or guardians of students to establish more in-depth communication regarding the problems being faced.

Abstract

Developments have demanded the world of education to be able to adapt quickly where all information can be obtained. Literacy is one of the foundations that has now become a necessity in teaching and learning activities as a source of finding references, identifying, accessing, evaluating, and incorporating information in teaching and learning activities. The ease of accessing various information needs to be addressed carefully by an educator by increasing digital literacy competencies to create a society with critical and creative mindsets and views. For this reason, digital literacy development management is an indicator of achievement in the field of education. This study aims to (1) find out how literacy is in learning Islamic religious education at UPTD SMPN 1 Sindang (2) to analyze and describe understandings of management of increasing literacy skills in learning Islamic religious education at UPTD SMPN 1 Sindang (3) to find out the supporting factors and obstacles to management of increasing literacy in learning Islamic religious education at UPTD SMPN 1 Sindang. This study uses a qualitative approach that is descriptive in nature to describe the UPTD SMPN 1 Sindang, Indramayu Regency to increase literacy competence in learning Islamic religious education. In collecting data, researchers used observation, interview and documentation methods. Meanwhile the guarantor of the validity of the data uses the process of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Literacy in learning Islamic religious education, among other things, is to improve learning, to access information and search for information from it, is used as a means of communication in delivering learning material, is used to evaluate and filter various sources of information in learning . (2) UPTD SMPN 1 Sindang, Indramayu Regency, increasing literacy in learning Islamic religious education at UPTD SMPN 1 Sindang, Indramayu Regency includes strengthening character and responsibility in using media as a learning tool, providing an understanding of the importance of literacy by preparing a variety of reading sources, habituation to reading and use the media in the teaching and learning process.
