Abstract

Digital transformation within police institutions represents a strategic initiative that not only aligns with technological advancement but also addresses public demands for fast, transparent, and accountable services. One of the concrete manifestations of this transformation is the utilization of digital applications by the Indonesian National Police through the Digital Korlantas platform, which encompasses a variety of services such as motor vehicle registration and identification, issuance and renewal of driving licenses, as well as accident reporting and real-time traffic information. This article examines the implementation of digitalization in traffic police services by positioning the Digital Korlantas application as the primary case study. The writing employs a qualitative approach and literature review, which enables the author to comprehensively analyze theories, concepts, and relevant research findings to build a systematic assessment. The findings indicate that the implementation of digitalization in traffic services has a significant impact on enhancing efficiency, strengthening service integrity, and expanding public access. However, the development of the digital system still faces challenges such as disparities in digital literacy, data security issues, and internal bureaucratic adaptation that requires policy consistency. This study is expected to serve as an academic reference for understanding the dynamics of public service digitalization, particularly in the traffic sector, and to enrich discussions on technology-based police service innovations.

Abstract

This research is a descriptive linguistic research that aims to describe lexemes that refer to hair styling activities in Indonesian. The data in this study were inventoried using an introspective method and analyzed using a componential analysis approach, namely by (1) grouping lexemes into several subfields based on hair styling methods and techniques, namely hair styling activities based on shaping, tying, and coloring, (2) describing the meaning components of each lexeme, (3) identifying the same meaning components in each lexeme, (4) compiling a differentiation matrix for each lexeme, (5) determining the status of semantic features in the matrix using the symbols −, 0, and +, and (6) concluding the meaning relationships between lexemes through diagrams based on the results of the meaning component analysis. The results of the study show that there are 16 lexemes that form the meaning field of hair styling activities in Indonesian, namely menyisir, menyasak, mengeriting, meluruskan, memoni, menyibak, mengibas, menggulung, mengikat, mengonde, mengepang, menguncir, menyemir, mewarnai, mem-bleaching, dan highlight.. This analysis produces lexical definitions that show the relationships and differences in meaning between lexemes based on their semantic components.

Abstract

Problem-based learning is primarily designed to help students develop their thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and intellectual skills; learn adult roles by experiencing them through various real or simulated situations; and become independent learners. This study used a quasi-experimental method. The type of research design used was a Nonequivalent Control Group Design, with two research groups: an experimental group receiving treatment and a control group not receiving experimental treatment. Data collection techniques used observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis and non-parametric statistical analysis. The Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach through maze games had a positive and significant effect on children's critical thinking skills. This was evidenced by the difference in the increase in critical thinking skills between the experimental and control groups, and was reinforced by the results of statistical analysis and conformity with theories and previous research stating that PBL is effective in developing critical thinking skills as part of higher-order thinking skills. The continuous implementation of the PBL approach can be one effort to improve the quality of the learning process in early childhood education.

Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media offers innovative solutions that are able to overcome these challenges. AR can present learning content in an interactive and engaging way through the incorporation of digital visual elements into the real world. This research aims to implement the use of digital learning media in the hope of developing students' language skills and developing skills that can later be useful for students in facing global challenges in the world of education. The type of research used in this study is quantitative with an expost facto approach. The data collection techniques used are in the form of observation, test, and quantification techniques. The data analysis technique is a step in completing the research to test the data that has been collected, for example descriptive statistics and N-Gain effectiveness tests. The data obtained through research instruments is still in the form of raw data, so to analyze the data, the researcher uses statistical analysis. The collected data was analyzed using Simple Linear Regression Analysis with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics 25 software. The results of the study show that the implementation of augmented reality (AR) media has proven to be effective in developing early childhood language skills, as evidenced by descriptive analysis with an average AR media score of 79.40. These findings are in line with the research objective of utilizing digital learning media to equip children with essential communication skills to face global educational challenges, where score variations reflect individual heterogeneity but overall positive trends indicate the potential of AR as a contextual early childhood education innovation in Indonesia.

Abstract

Storytelling with two-way interaction improves receptive language Storytelling that allows children to retell or discuss has been shown to improve understanding of language structure and vocabulary. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness, influences of differences and obstacles of conventional storytelling methods, such as Kamishibai, in improving receptive language skills in early childhood. This research method uses a quasi-experimental design with a quantitative approach. This study uses quantitative data because it aims to measure the influence of storytelling methods on early childhood receptive language skills. Quantitative data was obtained in the form of numbers and scores from tests or observation sheets used to assess children's receptive language skills before and after treatment. The data analysis technique used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares using SmartPLS 4 software, which allows simultaneous analysis of measurement and structural models. The results showed that conventional storytelling methods showed a significant improvement in the receptive language skills of children aged 5-6 years., the application of digital storytelling in educational institutions aged 5-6 years resulted in a strong correlation (r=0.668, p<0.05) with the development of receptive language, digital storytelling was more effective than conventional because of dynamic visual-audio integration that strengthened receptive processing., The main barriers to digital storytelling include limitations infrastructure (such as devices and internet in rural kindergartens) and low teacher digital competence, causing only 40-50% of institutions to be able to implement it optimally.., Teachers' digital competence and infrastructure are key factors because they determine the quality of story delivery. This study makes an original contribution with a direct comparison of digital vs. conventional storytelling in the receptive language of children 5-6 years old who are rarely done simultaneously in a quasi-experimental study.

Abstract

The tourism sector is a sector that makes a significant contribution to the economy, both at the local and national levels. However, the rapid development of the tourism industry is often accompanied by an increase in waste, including domestic liquid waste from hotel activities, restaurants, and residential areas around tourist areas. According to data from the WHO (2023), the tourism sector worldwide produces significant waste, contributing to the global waste pile reaching more than 11 million tons annually. This waste includes various types, including plastic and food waste, which have serious impacts on environmental health and the local economy. This study aims to analyze the management of residual tourism waste on the health of coastal communities in Leppe Village, Soropia District, Konawe Regency in 2026. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The research instrument used a questionnaire. The results show that residual tourism waste in the coastal area of Leppe Village is still found and has not been properly managed, both in terms of its presence and volume, which tends to increase with tourism activities. Waste management has not been carried out systematically and sustainably, characterized by the absence of sorting, limited facilities, and the practice of dumping and burning waste without processing. This situation indicates that the implementation of the 3R principles is not yet optimal and has the potential to degrade the quality of the coastal environment and negatively impact public health.

Abstract

Academic stress is a psychological condition experienced by university students due to high academic demands, excessive workload, competitive academic environments, poor time management, and limited social support. These conditions potentially affect students’ mental health in higher education settings. This study aims to analyze the effect of academic stress on students’ mental health. The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The sample consisted of 150 active university students selected using purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results revealed a significant negative correlation between academic stress and students’ mental health (r = -0.562; p < 0.001). The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.316, indicating that academic stress contributed 31.6% to the variance in students’ mental health, while the remaining 68.4% was influenced by other factors outside this study. These findings suggest that higher levels of academic stress are associated with lower levels of mental health. Therefore, preventive interventions through guidance and counseling services, adaptive coping training, and strengthened social support systems are essential in higher education institutions.

Abstract

The phenomenon of importing used clothes or thrifting has grown rapidly in Samarinda City, in accordance with Law Number 7 of 2014 concerning Trade and Regulation of the Minister of Trade Number 40 of 2022 which prohibits the import of used clothes. This study aims to analyze effective criminal law enforcement strategies for sellers of imported used clothes who have transformed into digital entrepreneurs with increasingly sophisticated modus operandi. The results of the study show that the majority of business actors operate without adequate permits, creating an economic paradox in which these activities contribute positively to the community's economy but are detrimental to the rule of law and economic justice. Law enforcement faces obstacles in coordination between agencies. This study recommends a holistic and progressive law enforcement strategy through tripartite coordination between the Police, Customs and Excise, and the Trade Office that not only focuses on repressive law enforcement but also education, coaching, and developing a digital surveillance system to anticipate the innovation of the modus operandi of thrifting business actors in the future.

Abstract

Marriage in the perspective of Islamic law is based on a strong foundation as a sacred institution, aimed at achieving a harmonious, loving, and compassionate family life. However, with the dynamics of society and changes over time, the challenges in maintaining a lasting and happy marriage have become more complex. This study aims to explore the concept of marriage reconstruction in the perspective of Islamic law, focusing on renewal efforts that can ensure the sustainability and happiness of households. The research method used is a literature review with a qualitative approach, examining classical and contemporary texts on marriage in Islamic law, as well as interviews with religious and community figures. The findings reveal that marriage reconstruction in Islam not only emphasizes the re-understanding of the rights and obligations of spouses but also highlights the importance of spiritual approaches, effective communication, and wise conflict resolution. The conclusion of this study is that renewal in marriage practices is essential to address modern issues faced by couples, such as inequality, role differences, and a lack of understanding about marriage rights. With proper reconstruction, marriage can serve as a stronger foundation for achieving a sustainable and happy family life.
