Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies for zakat collection, distribution, and utilization, as well as transparency and accountability in zakat management at the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) in Langkat. The study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were obtained through direct interviews with BAZNAS officials in Langkat and supported by relevant documentation. The research focused on zakat collection strategies to attract recipients (muzakki), patterns of zakat distribution and utilization to improve the welfare of those who mustahik (receiver), and the application of transparency and accountability principles in zakat fund management. The results indicate that BAZNAS Langkat implements various zakat collection strategies through outreach, collaboration with government and private institutions, the establishment of Zakat Collection Units (UPZ), and the use of digital technology through e-zakat services. In distributing and utilizing zakat, BAZNAS not only distributes consumer assistance but also implements productive zakat programs in the form of business capital assistance, skills training, and business mentoring to increase the economic independence of those who mustahik (receiver). Meanwhile, transparency and accountability are realized through the preparation of financial reports in accordance with sharia accounting standards, the implementation of internal and external audits, and the dissemination of information on zakat fund management to the public. Although several obstacles remain, such as low awareness among some communities about distributing zakat through official institutions and limited funds to meet the needs of those entitled to receive it, overall zakat management at the Langkat BAZNAS has been running well and contributing to improving community welfare.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has transformed governance across various sectors, including Islamic educational institutions. Educational Management Information Systems (EMIS) have become strategic instruments for improving the effectiveness of school and madrasah management, particularly in planning, organizing, supervising, and decision-making processes. This article aims to analyze the concept of Educational Management Information Systems, their implementation in schools and madrasahs, their role in Islamic educational leadership, as well as the challenges and strategies for successful implementation. This study employed a qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were collected from scientific books, journal articles, government regulations, and other official documents related to Educational Management Information Systems. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques. The findings indicate that Educational Management Information Systems significantly enhance the effectiveness of school leadership by providing accurate, timely, and integrated information. Various digital platforms such as Dapodik, EMIS, ARKAS, e-RKAM, and e-Rapor contribute to more transparent, accountable, and efficient educational governance. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, including limited digital literacy, inadequate technological infrastructure, data security issues, and resistance to organizational change. Therefore, strengthening human resource competencies and institutional support is essential to optimize the implementation of management information systems and improve the quality of Islamic education sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of School Operational Assistance (BOS) Financial Management Information System through the School Activity and Budget Plan Application (ARKAS) at SD Negeri 1 Kabunderan, Karanganyar District, Purbalingga Regency. The research employed field research method with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving school principals, BOS treasurers, ARKAS operators, teachers, and school committees. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman's interactive model comprising data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that ARKAS implementation encompasses four stages: budget planning, budget execution, financial administration, and reporting and accountability. ARKAS has been proven to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, transparency, and accountability of BOS fund management. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, including internet connectivity disruptions, limited digital competency among school personnel, and administrative difficulties in data entry. Strategies to address these challenges include continuous technical training, infrastructure strengthening, and enhanced internal monitoring.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the zakat management at the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) in Langkat Regency, including the zakat collection and distribution process, the programs implemented, and the efforts and obstacles encountered in zakat management. This study employed a qualitative field research method. Data were obtained through interviews with BAZNAS Langkat Regency administrators and supported by secondary data in the form of books, journals, and regulations related to zakat management. The results indicate that BAZNAS Langkat Regency has implemented zakat management through a structured collection, management, and distribution process. Furthermore, BAZNAS has various zakat distribution programs covering health, education, economics, humanitarianism, and religion. However, its implementation still faces several obstacles, such as low community participation, limited human resources, and suboptimal use of technology. Therefore, BAZNAS continues to strive to improve the quality of zakat management through the establishment of Zakat Collection Units (UPZ), outreach programs, and improving the competence of zakat collectors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan prinsip-prinsip syariah dalam pengelolaan dan pendayagunaan wakaf, mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam pengelolaan wakaf, serta mengukur efektivitas program pendayagunaan wakaf di Kecamatan Stabat Kabupaten Langkat. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian empiris dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi dengan informan utama yaitu Penyuluh Agama Islam Kementerian Agama Kecamatan Stabat yang juga merupakan perwakilan Badan Wakaf Indonesia (BWI) Sumatera Utara. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk memperoleh gambaran mengenai praktik pengelolaan dan pendayagunaan wakaf di lingkungan kec. Stabat Kab. Langkat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan wakaf di Kecamatan Stabat telah menerapkan prinsip-prinsip syariah yang meliputi prinsip keabadian harta (ta'bid), keberlanjutan manfaat (istibdal), kepatuhan terhadap syariah, produktivitas aset, serta transparansi dan akuntabilitas pengelolaan. Faktor pendukung pengelolaan wakaf meliputi profesionalitas nazhir, meningkatnya pemahaman masyarakat tentang wakaf, dukungan regulasi, dan pengembangan wakaf produktif. Sementara itu, faktor penghambat terdiri atas rendahnya kapasitas sebagian nazhir, permasalahan legalitas aset wakaf, rendahnya literasi masyarakat mengenai wakaf produktif, kurangnya transparansi pengelolaan, serta keterbatasan modal dan teknologi. Efektivitas program pendayagunaan wakaf dapat dilihat dari meningkatnya pemahaman masyarakat mengenai wakaf dan manfaat yang dirasakan masyarakat dalam bidang ekonomi, pendidikan, kesehatan, infrastruktur sosial, ketahanan pangan, serta penyediaan fasilitas umum. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengelolaan dan pendayagunaan wakaf di Kecamatan Stabat telah berjalan cukup efektif, namun masih diperlukan penguatan kapasitas nazhir, peningkatan sosialisasi, serta optimalisasi wakaf produktif untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformation of the academic culture of students of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) Postgraduate Study Program at UIN Prof. K.H. Saifuddin Zuhri Purwokerto in the digital era through the use of the Postgraduate Academic Administration Information System (SIAAP). The study uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection through interviews and documentation. Data were analyzed through the stages of reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the use of SIAAP has encouraged four forms of academic culture transformation, namely: (1) changes in academic administration from a manual system to an integrated digital service; (2) the growth of a culture of verification and transparency of academic information; (3) a shift in academic interaction patterns from direct communication to a blended pattern; and (4) the development of a digital ta'awun culture among students. This transformation is supported by automatic integration with Saizu Link and a simple interface design, while the main obstacle found is the technical instability of the system in the form of errors. From the perspective of Islamic values, SIAAP strengthens the values ​​of amanah, shidq, nizam, and itqan through transparency and regularity of academic services, while also fostering the value of shabr when students face technical obstacles. However, the digitalization of academic services also has the potential to reduce the intensity of face-to-face interactions in the Islamic scientific tradition and encourage instant expectations that are not in line with the values ​​of the modern era.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has encouraged educational institutions to implement Management Information Systems (MIS) to improve the quality of school administration services. This study aims to describe the planning and implementation of MIS at SDN 4 Sukomulyo, identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and evaluate the impact on school management effectiveness. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, administrative staff, and school operators, as well as participatory observation and document review. Data validity was ensured through source, method, and time triangulation. The results show that SDN 4 Sukomulyo has implemented several MIS components, primarily DAPODIK and e-Raport systems. Key supporting factors include active principal support, internet network availability, and teacher motivation. The main inhibiting factors are limited hardware, uneven digital literacy among staff, and unstable internet connection. MIS implementation has contributed to increased administrative efficiency, improved data accuracy, and greater transparency of school information to stakeholders.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi akad Musyarakah Mutanaqisah (MMQ) pada pembiayaan kepemilikan rumah di Bank Syariah Nasional (BSN) Binjai serta menilai kesesuaiannya dengan prinsip-prinsip syariah dan Fatwa DSN-MUI Nomor 73/DSN-MUI/XI/2008. Penelitian menggunakan metode hukum normatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data primer diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pihak BSN Binjai, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari peraturan perundang-undangan, fatwa, buku, dan jurnal ilmiah yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa akad MMQ di BSN Binjai diterapkan pada produk pembiayaan KPR dengan mekanisme kepemilikan bersama antara bank dan nasabah berdasarkan kontribusi modal masing-masing pihak. Proses pembiayaan dilakukan melalui tahapan pengajuan, pemberkasan, analisis kemampuan keuangan, survei, persetujuan, dan penandatanganan akad. Selama masa pembiayaan, porsi kepemilikan bank berkurang secara bertahap melalui pembayaran yang dilakukan nasabah hingga kepemilikan rumah beralih sepenuhnya kepada nasabah. Implementasi MMQ di BSN Binjai telah mencerminkan prinsip keadilan, kemitraan, transparansi, dan pembagian risiko yang menjadi karakteristik utama ekonomi syariah. Selain itu, pelaksanaan akad juga telah memenuhi unsur kepemilikan bersama, kejelasan porsi modal, serta mekanisme perpindahan kepemilikan yang sesuai dengan ketentuan syariah. Dengan demikian, MMQ menjadi alternatif pembiayaan rumah yang mampu mengintegrasikan aspek kepatuhan syariah, kepastian hukum, dan perlindungan terhadap para pihak

Abstract

Islamic education aims not only to develop students' intellectual abilities but also to cultivate moral character and spirituality based on Islamic values. One of the key concepts supporting this objective is Tazkiyatun Nafs, which refers to the purification of the soul through moral development, self-control, and strengthening one's relationship with Allah. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Tazkiyatun Nafs concept in Islamic education through a synthesis of previous studies. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using a qualitative approach by analyzing nine scholarly articles related to Tazkiyatun Nafs, character education, and Islamic education. The findings indicate that the implementation of Tazkiyatun Nafs is carried out through habituation of religious practices, teachers' role modeling, the development of a religious school culture, the integration of Islamic values into the learning process, and collaboration among schools, families, and communities. These practices contribute positively to the development of students' religious character, self-control, discipline, responsibility, social awareness, and spiritual intelligence. However, the implementation of Tazkiyatun Nafs still faces challenges, including rapid digital technological development, social environmental changes, and the predominance of academic achievement over character development in educational practices. Therefore, the continuous implementation of Tazkiyatun Nafs is considered a relevant strategy for achieving the objectives of Islamic education in developing individuals who are knowledgeable, faithful, and possess noble character.
