Abstract

Livestock farming is an important sector in Indonesia, both economically and socially, in every community. The livestock sector supports and supplements the livelihoods of people who spend their days working in the fields. Small and large-scale livestock farming must be accompanied by an understanding of proper animal care and maintenance. Looking at the data and conditions in the field, especially in Kotesan Village, Prambanan District, many people still work in the agricultural sector and most of them have livestock such as goats and cows. Several incidents and deaths of goats and cows are also often found due to a lack of education about livestock care. There is a need for supplements and the fulfillment of livestock needs that are considered easy and basic. For this reason, the UNS 106 KKN team in Kotesan Village initiated the use of alternative feed as a supplement to the main feed in the form of silage and mineral blocks. Silage is used as a supplement and mineral blocks are used as additional nutrients to supplement the minerals needed by goats and cows. Until the training on making feed was held to educate farmers in Kotesan Village to prevent deaths due to paralysis and lack of livestock nutrition. With participants from the Joint Farmer Group in Kotesan Village, the UNS 106 Community Service Program team conducted training on making alternative livestock feed, namely silage and mineral blocks.

Abstract

Program Kuliah Pengapdian Masyarakat (KPM) yang dilaksanakan oleh mahasiswa di Desa Gondowulan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keselamatan pengguna jalan melalui kegiatan pemasangan reflektor jalan dan speed bump (polisi tidur) pada titik-titik rawan kecelakaan. Desa Gondowulan merupakan wilayah dengan tingkat aktivitas lalu lintas yang cukup tinggi, namun masih minim fasilitas pendukung keselamatan jalan. Hal ini menyebabkan meningkatnya potensi kecelakaan, terutama pada malam hari ketika pencahayaan terbatas dan di area permukiman yang sering dilalui kendaraan dengan kecepatan tinggi.Melalui pendekatan partisipatif, mahasiswa KPM melakukan observasi lapangan, pemetaan lokasi strategis, sosialisasi kepada masyarakat, serta bekerja sama dengan pemerintah desa dalam proses perencanaan dan pelaksanaan kegiatan. Pemasangan reflektor dan speed bump dilakukan secara gotong royong, dengan melibatkan warga setempat sebagai bentuk pemberdayaan dan penguatan rasa memiliki terhadap infrastruktur desa.Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya keselamatan berlalu lintas serta perubahan perilaku pengendara yang menjadi lebih waspada dan mengurangi kecepatan saat melewati jalur yang telah dilengkapi fasilitas keselamatan. Program ini tidak hanya memberikan dampak langsung dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang lebih aman, tetapi juga menjadi bukti konkret kontribusi mahasiswa dalam pembangunan desa berbasis kebutuhan masyarakat.

Abstract

Globalisasi budaya melalui K-pop membawa pengaruh besar terhadap generasi muda Indonesia, termasuk komunitas dance cover Light Galaxy Semarang. Namun, di tengah dominasi budaya populer global, komunitas ini tetap mempertahankan penggunaan bahasa daerah, khususnya bahasa Jawa, dalam interaksi sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis sikap etnosentrisme positif dalam penggunaan bahasa daerah, serta bagaimana hal tersebut memperkuat identitas dan solidaritas kelompok. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi digunakan untuk menggali pengalaman subjektif anggota, baik yang berasal dari Jawa maupun luar Jawa. Data diperoleh melalui observasi partisipatif dan wawancara mendalam, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan kerangka teori Etnosentrisme, Identitas Sosial, dan Komunikasi Antarbudaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahasa Jawa berfungsi sebagai perekat identitas dan sarana diferensiasi, sementara istilah K-pop berperan sebagai simbol global yang menyatukan anggota lintas daerah. Pola komunikasi ini mencerminkan proses glokalisasi, di mana unsur global dan lokal hidup berdampingan secara dinamis. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa etnosentrisme positif mampu menjadi instrumen pelestarian bahasa daerah dalam komunitas kreatif modern.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of the Protocol and Leadership Communication Division (Prokopim) in supporting regional development programs in Bukittinggi City. A qualitative descriptive method was applied through observation, documentation, and direct involvement during the internship. The findings reveal that Prokopim plays a strategic role not only in protocol activities but also as a public communication hub that conveys development messages, builds the government’s positive image, and bridges interactions between local leaders and the community. The integration of Islamic economic values such as trust (amanah), justice, and public benefit (maslahah) is reflected in its administrative practices. Nevertheless, challenges remain, including limited human resources, communication facilities, and the gap between ceremonial aspects and substantive policies. Thus, Prokopim is crucial in realizing transparent, participatory, and community-oriented development communication.

Abstract

Dalam menyikapi perubahan masyarakat yang dipengaruhi oleh teknologi informasi, khususnya dalam bidang keagamaan, moderasi beragama penting untuk dijadikan acuan. Perubahan ini mendorong penguatan moderasi beragama untuk mencegah masyarakat terjebak pada sikap fanatik dan tertutup terhadap dialog. Salah satu langkah strategis adalah meningkatkan literasi keagamaan. Meskipun ulama Nusantara telah membuat kontribusi besar dalam tafsir, hadits, dan fikih, penelitian tentang kajiannya masih terbatas. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan salah satu pemikiran ulama Betawi, Syekh Muhajirin Amsar, dalam karyanya yang komprehensif yaitu Kitab Mishbah Al-Zhalam. Pemikiran beliau dalam kitab ini dinilai relevan dengan konteks modern. Maka dari itu, diharapkan pemikiran tersebut dapat membantu para ulama dan da’i dalam mendakwahkan ajaran agama yang logis, moderat, dan selaras dengan masa sekaran. Dengan demikian, para ulama dapat menanamkan nilai-nilai keterbukaan, perdamaian, dan toleransi kepada masyarakat sehingga agama dapat dipahami sebagai rahmatan lil'alamin.

Abstract

This activity aims to develop the potential of the community, particularly the PKK women’s group of Karangkandri Village, through education and training in eco-enzyme production. The waste problem arises from household residues that have not undergone further processing. By directly observing the existing issues, this study applies a participatory action research (PAR) approach that combines education and hands-on practice of eco-enzyme making. The activity resulted in eco-enzyme products made by the participants. Moreover, the participants were enthusiastic throughout the program and planned to continue practicing it at home to address problems such as unpleasant odors in animal pens, agricultural applications, and as a cleaning agent, for example dishwashing. The conclusion of this activity is that eco-enzymes have the potential to serve as an environmentally friendly natural cleaner as well as a strategy for household waste management.

Abstract

This community service program aims to empower the Muslimatan Jumat group in Tunggak Cerme Village, Wonomerto District, Probolinggo Regency, in preserving religious traditions and strengthening social solidarity within the local community. The method applied was Participatory Action Research (PAR), actively involving around 200 members of Muslimatan in every stage of the program, from preparation and implementation to evaluation. The preparation stage was carried out through observation and coordination with community leaders to identify routine activities and formulate program objectives. During the implementation stage, the KKN team assisted routine activities such as istighotsah, tahlilan, and social gatherings, while also providing interactive counseling and facilitating group discussions on traditions and social solidarity. The evaluation was conducted through small-scale forums to collect feedback, suggestions, and reflections from members. The results indicate that the program successfully increased community awareness of the importance of preserving religious traditions, strengthened social bonds, and encouraged youth participation in safeguarding local culture. Thus, Muslimatan Jumat can be regarded as a driving force in maintaining the spiritual and social values of rural communities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of student interns in supporting public services in Tarok Dipo Village. In Tarok Dipo Village itself, there is still a shortage of workers to serve the community, resulting in less than optimal services. The presence of student interns is expected to be a form of real contribution from higher education in improving the quality of governance at the local level. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, library literature and documentation. The results show that student interns play a role in helping smooth administration, providing innovation in data management, and improving the quality of public services through mentoring and counseling. In addition, the presence of student interns can also encourage village officials to be more adaptive in utilizing technology. Thus, student interns have a significant contribution in strengthening public services in the village.

Abstract

Children's Day Festival, celebrated every July 23, is a strategic moment in supporting children's holistic development. Through various activities such as fashion shows, poetry readings, coloring, and adhan, this festival not only serves as entertainment but also as a non-formal educational tool that aims to instill moral, social, cultural, and religious values in children. These activities are designed to enhance creativity, self-confidence, respect, empathy, courage, and strengthen local cultural identity, thereby contributing to the overall character and personality development of children. This study confirms that this festival plays an important role in supporting sustainable child growth and development oriented towards self-potential development. It is recommended that this activity continue to be developed and adapted to the times, involving various related parties, and evaluated periodically to ensure its effectiveness in achieving the goals of character education and child development.

Abstract

One of the Community Service activities that can increase the purchasing value of raw materials is cassava which is processed into cendol ice. Processing this product can increase community income with a home industry business or commonly called a home business in processing sweet potatoes into cendol ice. The methods used in this activity include lectures, questions and answers or discussions, and training. Training and mentoring were carried out in Pangkajene District, Pangkajene and Kepulauan Regency for 2 weeks. The results obtained were (1) The training on processing cassava into cendol ice was well responded by the participants; (2) The high interest and motivation of the training participants greatly supported the transfer of knowledge and skills from the service providers to the training participants, so that the training materials provided could be absorbed by all; and (3) The training product of processing cassava into cendol ice can be consumed daily and can be used as a community entrepreneurial product.
