Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat dan Riset Pendidikan is a journal on Faculty of Education. Jurnal JERKIN: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat dan Riset Pendidikan is under the auspices of the Faculty of Education, Universitas Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai. The journal is registered with E-ISSN: 2961-9890. Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat dan Riset Pendidikan is published four times a year in September, December, March and June. Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat dan Riset Pendidikan receives 50 articles per issue. The journal publishes articles in mathematics education including teaching and learning, instruction, curriculum development, learning environments, teacher education, educational technology, educational developments, from many kinds of research such as survey, research and development, experimental research, classroom action research, etc.

Abstract

The affordability of information that is easily accessible and accepted by humans in the form of physical, sensory to intellectual is referred to as accessibility. This affordability does not only belong to the disabled, but also to the disabled. However, this accessibility has not fully supported their needs. As on web pages, for example, there are not many websites that pay attention to the affordability of information for people with disabilities. Therefore, we carried out this review to determine the needs of people with disabilities in accessing information, especially on web pages. By using the Human Centered Design or HCD method, we approach users by conducting surveys or questionnaires using the Web Accessibility Content Guidelines (WCAG) to find out the aspects needed on a site. We use the results of the survey as material to measure which needs need to be considered in the Web Accessibility Content Guidelines in designing a web page that is friendly to people with disabilities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the emotional stability of student with broken home family background. This research uses qualitative research methods with a case study approach and data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The research subjects amounted to 2 students, and this research was conducted at Seruni Hills housing, Bekasi. The result showed that two students from broken home families, FB and DN tend to experience emotional instability characterized by frequent feelings of anxiety , anger, and loneliness, when faced with various Conflicts that come. Although the subjects have carried out various coping strategies, at the time of the research, they were still unable to fully overcome the emotional instability they felt.

Abstract

Education is one of the benchmarks of a nation's progress. A nation can be said to be advanced, one of which is if education within the nation is advanced. Along with the development of globalization and science and technology, education continues to progress in accordance with the times. In the context of education, the main goal is to produce individuals who not only possess knowledge, but also strong critical thinking skills. Chemistry education in high school often faces challenges in conveying abstract materials such as colloids to students during learning activities. This study aims to develop an e-module for colloid material based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) to help students understand abstract materials such as colloids. This has been proven through several previous studies that developed e-modules on several other abstract materials and proved effective. Therefore, this e-module has the potential to help students understand colloid material.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of students and local communities in utilizing limited land as productive gardens through hydroponic methods. The main issue faced by partners is the lack of understanding of hydroponic techniques and limited-space land management, despite their potential to produce healthy and economically valuable vegetables. The activity was carried out through lectures, discussions, video presentations, and hands-on practice in building hydroponic systems. Sixteen participants from various sub-districts attended the training held at Universitas Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai. The results showed that 100% of training objectives were achieved, participants' knowledge increased significantly, and they successfully understood and applied hydroponic techniques. Therefore, the training effectively empowered students and the community to productively manage limited land and create economic opportunities through hydroponic farming.

Abstract

This study aims to improve Islamic economic literacy among PKK mothers in Rimba Sekampung Village, Bengkalis Regency through training and seminars covering the introduction to Islamic economics, utilization of rhizomes as sources of income and health, and family financial management based on Islamic principles. The method used was an educative-participatory approach involving interactive lectures, group discussions, herbal product making practices, as well as pre-tests and post-tests to measure participants’ understanding improvement. A total of 30 PKK mothers actively participated in the activities. The results showed significant improvement in understanding Islamic economics, skills in processing rhizomes into marketable products, and the ability to manage family finances according to Islamic principles. The average pre-test score of 42% increased to 81% in the post-test. Evaluation also indicated a 90% satisfaction rate, with participants stating that the training was beneficial and opened opportunities for economic independence. Thus, the training and seminar effectively increased Islamic economic literacy and empowered local community economies. It is recommended that similar activities be conducted sustainably.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang pengaruh dukungan orang tua dan literasiekonomi terhadap minat berwirausaha mahasiswa prodi Pendidikan ekonomiFakultas Ekonomika dan Bisnis Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Latar belakangdalam penelitian ini menjelaskan masalah minimnya ketertarikan dan rendahnyaminat mahasiswa untuk berwirausaha, sedangkan visi misi Universitas Negeri Surabaya berfokus pada Entrepreneur atau pengembangan. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa Pendidikan Ekonomi angkatan2021 dan 2022 Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Penelitian menggunakanpendekatan kuantitatif yang diolah menggunakan SPSS 25 dengan skala likert 1-5 dan anates. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa dukungan orang tuaberpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat berwirausaha sedangkan literasi ekonomitidak berpengaruh terhadap minat berwirausaha. Penelitian ini menyimpulkanbahwa peran keluarga, khususnya orang tua, sangat penting dalam mendorongsemangat kewirausahaan pada mahasiswa.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the competency of teachers at SMK Negeri 4 Bandung in implementing project-based learning (PBL). The background to this activity is the need to adapt learning methods to be more contextual and encourage 21st-century skills for vocational school students, especially in facing the demands of the world of work and the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. The implementation method includes a preparation stage (needs mapping and module development), a training stage (material delivery and practical simulations), and a mentoring stage (project implementation in class and evaluation). Evaluation was conducted through pre- and post-tests as well as direct observation of classroom learning implementation. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in all aspects of teacher competency, with an average post-test score increasing by more than 25 points compared to the pre-test. Teachers also demonstrated enthusiasm in designing and implementing project-based learning relevant to their respective areas of expertise. Documentation of the activity reflects the active involvement of participants, both in training sessions and during project implementation in class.

Abstract

Marketing is a crucial part of a company. If marketing in a company runs well, it will have an impact on increasing demand. A very important element in marketing activities is communication. Communication can inform consumers about products or services that can create a purchasing process. Brand awareness or brand awareness is the ability of a brand to appear in the minds of consumers when they are thinking about a particular product and how easy the brand is. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of endorser credibility on online purchase intention with brand awareness as a mediator. The research location is in Tabanan City using a purposive sampling technique. The respondents used were 110 respondents. The data analysis technique used was Path Analysis. Based on the analysis, the research results showed that brand awareness has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention. Celebrity endorsers have a positive and significant effect on brand awareness. Celebrity endorsers have a positive and significant effect on purchase intention. Brand awareness is able to mediate the influence of celebrity endorsers on purchase intention.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to determine the forms of activities and initiatives undertaken by the association to preserve Acehnese values, traditions, and culinary delights among migrants in Kendari City, and to understand the mechanisms and activities carried out by the association to strengthen bonds of solidarity, social cohesion, and build networks among fellow migrants from Aceh in Kendari. The background to this activity stems from the fact that the presence of regional associations in migration destination cities such as Kendari plays a vital role in the lives of migrants. The functions of associations are very diverse, ranging from strengthening bonds of brotherhood, helping newcomers adapt to their new environment, to preserving and promoting cultural values of their region of origin. This activity involved observation, interviews, training, and technical assistance within the Aceh association. The results of the activity showed that the culinary delights of the association can attract the attention of the local community in Kendari. The diverse culinary delights served at the association can attract customers who want to experience the unique culture. For example, as the name suggests, teh tarik can attract the attention and interest of customers. Associations are often a symbol of community strength. Culinary arts can foster a sense of belonging to a particular region or community.

Abstract

Islamic education in Indonesia holds a pivotal role in nation-building, integrating religious values with modern scientific knowledge to shape well-rounded individuals who are competitive in a global era. Nevertheless, Islamic education continues to face fundamental challenges, including limited funding, infrastructure disparities, uneven quality of educators, and public perceptions that often position Islamic educational institutions as a secondary alternative compared to general education. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of Islamic education in Indonesia, identify the challenges it faces, and explore opportunities for transformation towards adaptive, responsive, and globally competitive education. The research method employed is literature review by examining various scholarly sources, official reports, and recent statistical data. The findings indicate that, despite structural and cultural obstacles, Islamic education possesses significant potential for transformation, supported by growing public trust and the forthcoming demographic bonus, which will heighten the demand for high-quality, character-driven human resources. The transformation of Islamic education is expected to contribute substantially to realizing the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045, by producing generations who are not only intellectually capable but also grounded in moral integrity, serving as a strong foundation for a sovereign and advanced nation.
