Abstract

Teaching and learning English is not easy, especially for young students. In recent years, teachers have been focusing on innovative approaches to improve language comprehension, including drawing and sketching techniques that have proven successful, especially in improving speaking skills. These methods capitalise on children's visual and creative abilities, resulting in a dynamic language learning platform that involves both cognitive and artistic skills. This study investigated ten students in grade four at SD Negeri Klitik. They showed significant improvement in their English speaking ability when they used visual aids such as pictures related to their work and interactive activities such as drawing and sketching game boards. As a result, students had a better ability to convey their ideas, a wider vocabulary, and greater confidence in communicating verbally. Lev Vygotsky and Howard Gardner's theories on education and developmental psychology are in line with this approach. These theories emphasise the importance of using multiple sensory channels during the learning process. Therefore, incorporating drawing and sketching activities in language education can make language learning more interesting, fun and effective for children.

Abstract

Pelatihan ergonomi dan kesehatan keselamatan kerja (K3) pada penggunaan gas LPG rumah tangga ini dilaksanakan sebagai upaya peningkatan pemahaman dan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap potensi bahaya serta penerapan tindakan pencegahan yang tepat di lingkungan rumah. Kegiatan pelatihan difokuskan pada edukasi penggunaan peralatan gas yang sesuai standar, pemeliharaan tabung dan regulator, serta penataan ruang dapur secara ergonomis guna meminimalkan risiko kecelakaan dan gangguan kesehatan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah interaktif, simulasi langsung, dan diskusi kelompok. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan peserta terkait aspek ergonomi dan K3, serta perubahan perilaku positif dalam penggunaan LPG secara aman. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model edukasi berkelanjutan untuk menciptakan lingkungan rumah tangga yang lebih aman dan sehat.

Abstract

Local wisdom is a vital part of national cultural identity that must be introduced from an early age. Malay culture, particularly in Riau Province, embodies noble values reflected in oral traditions such as pantun and material culture like traditional houses. This study aimed to enhance children's cultural awareness and character values (ages 6–11) through an educational and participatory approach involving pantun reading and traditional house coloring activities. The program was held in Kampung Damai Residential Area, Pekanbaru, involving approximately 20 children. A descriptive qualitative method was used, supported by participatory observation and informal interviews. The results showed increased cultural understanding, creativity, and enthusiasm among children toward Malay heritage. The fun and visual approach effectively fostered cultural values while strengthening a sense of pride in local identity. This activity demonstrates that local cultural education can be effectively and enjoyably delivered when adapted to the developmental characteristics of young learners.

Abstract

Traditional foods not only fulfill biological needs but also contain cultural values ​​and local philosophy that reflect a community's identity. One of Riau's signature dishes rich in cultural significance is bolu kemojo. This study aims to examine the philosophy and cultural values ​​contained in bolu kemojo as a representation of the local wisdom of the Riau Malay community. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through literature studies and interviews with cultural figures and culinary micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Riau. The results show that bolu kemojo is not just a snack, but a symbol of simplicity, mutual cooperation, and respect for tradition. This dish is commonly served at traditional events, weddings, and to welcome guests of honor. The philosophy of the kemojo flower also holds spiritual significance and symbolizes beauty in Malay life. Thus, bolu kemojo serves as a medium for preserving cultural values ​​that continue to live amidst modernization.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with abundant cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity. The Malay people, one of the thousands of ethnic groups inhabiting Indonesia, have traditions that are still preserved to this day, one of which is the Tepuk Tepung Tawar tradition. This tradition reflects the harmony between social, spiritual, and customary aspects, and serves as a social glue for the Malay community. Although originally derived from Hindu teachings aimed at asking for safety from the gods, this tradition has since interacted and blended with Islamic teachings, where ingredients such as bertih, white rice, and incense are now accompanied by the recitation of Shalawat and prayers. Amidst the currents of globalization and modernization, this tradition faces the challenge of a lack of understanding and involvement of the younger generation. Therefore, a socialization and direct practice of the Tepuk Tepung Tawar tradition was carried out in Rejosari Village, Pekanbaru, on June 25, 2025, targeting young people aged 13-19 years. The results of the socialization showed a significant increase in understanding, where all audiences were able to answer and understand the origins and implementation of the tradition after the direct practice. This underscores the importance of reintroducing this cultural heritage to ensure its continued success.

Abstract

The background of this research is the issue of gender inequality that occurs in society resulting in different views on the roles of men and women. There is also the status of women in social life in many ways still experience discrimination with the still strong traditional values ​​​​where women have less access to one of them is access to education. The purpose of this study is to explain the understanding of gender equality in access to education, especially access to education to the higher education level. The method used is a qualitative method with stages namely observation, interviews, and literature studies. The results of this mini-research can increase understanding of gender equality in education and can realize and implement gender equality and justice in the scope of education in higher education. This research is interesting because in 2025 gender issues are still an iceberg phenomenon and similar research is still lacking.

Abstract

In the era of digital transformation in education, the integration of technology in language learning has become essential, particularly in fostering writing skills among English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners. This study aims to explore the effectiveness of digital storytelling as an instructional tool to enhance students’ English writing abilities. Using a qualitative descriptive approach through literature review, the research systematically analyzes various peer-reviewed studies, journal articles, and theoretical perspectives related to digital storytelling and writing pedagogy. The findings indicate that digital storytelling has significant pedagogical value in improving writing performance. It supports the development of organization, coherence, vocabulary usage, and narrative structure in student writing. Moreover, digital storytelling promotes self-regulated learning, creativity, critical thinking, and emotional engagement, making the writing process more meaningful and reflective. Studies reviewed also highlight increased learner motivation and autonomy, as students actively participate in planning, drafting, editing, and presenting their stories using multimedia platforms. This research also reveals the flexibility of digital storytelling across different educational levels and learning environments. It offers an inclusive and engaging approach to writing instruction, aligning with constructivist and student-centered learning models. Despite its benefits, the study identifies a gap in exploring long-term effects and its integration in routine writing practice. In conclusion, digital storytelling emerges as a powerful and practical medium to enrich English writing instruction in EFL contexts. It not only improves linguistic skills but also nurtures 21st-century competencies among learners

modern melalui pendekatan studi literatur. Hukum waris Islam secara normatif telah ditetapkan dalam Al-Qur’an dan hadis dengan porsi yang berbeda antara laki-laki dan perempuan, yang pada dasarnya mencerminkan struktur sosial masyarakat Arab pada masa pewahyuan. Namun, dinamika sosial modern, seperti perubahan peran gender, bentuk keluarga, serta tuntutan akan keadilan sosial, menuntut adanya reinterpretasi terhadap ketentuan tersebut agar tetap relevan. Dalam penelitian ini, berbagai literatur dianalisis secara kritis, mulai dari pendekatan tafsir feminis, maqashid syariah, hingga pendekatan sosiologis terhadap praktik hukum waris di masyarakat. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kebutuhan mendesak untuk menafsir ulang ketentuan waris Islam agar mampu menjawab tantangan zaman tanpa menghilangkan substansi ajaran Islam. Pendekatan kontekstual-historis dan maqashid syariah dinilai mampu menjembatani antara teks dan realitas sosial, sehingga hukum waris dapat lebih adil, inklusif, dan aplikatif. Penelitian ini menyarankan perlunya keterlibatan ulama, akademisi, dan pembuat kebijakan dalam proses reinterpretasi tersebut, serta pentingnya edukasi kepada masyarakat agar nilai-nilai keadilan yang menjadi inti syariat dapat terwujud dalam praktik hukum waris kontemporer.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru melalui pendekatan studi literatur. Gaya kepemimpinan transformasional dipandang sebagai pendekatan yang efektif dalam menghadapi tantangan pendidikan modern karena mampu membangkitkan semangat kerja, memperkuat profesionalisme guru, serta menciptakan budaya kerja yang kolaboratif dan inovatif. Penelitian ini menelaah berbagai sumber jurnal ilmiah nasional yang relevan dan terbit dalam lima tahun terakhir. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah yang menerapkan kepemimpinan transformasional cenderung berhasil meningkatkan motivasi kerja, keterlibatan guru dalam proses pendidikan, serta membangun lingkungan kerja yang mendukung pencapaian kinerja optimal. Empat dimensi utama kepemimpinan transformasional-pengaruh ideal, motivasi inspirasional, stimulasi intelektual, dan pertimbangan individual-menjadi kunci dalam mendorong guru untuk berkembang secara profesional dan pribadi. Selain itu, hasil literatur juga menunjukkan bahwa implementasi gaya kepemimpinan ini efektif di berbagai konteks, baik di sekolah kota maupun di daerah pedesaan, termasuk di sekolah inklusi. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya kepemimpinan yang berorientasi pada perubahan dan pengembangan sumber daya manusia sebagai salah satu strategi peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi kepala sekolah untuk terus mengembangkan kapasitas kepemimpinan transformasional guna menjawab tantangan pendidikan masa kini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh integrasi sistem kendali otomatis terhadap kinerja robot industri melalui metode studi literatur. Perkembangan teknologi otomasi telah mendorong industri untuk beralih ke sistem produksi yang lebih efisien, presisi, dan adaptif. Dalam konteks ini, sistem kendali otomatis seperti Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), kendali PID, Artificial Intelligence (AI), serta integrasi berbasis Internet of Things (IoT), memainkan peran strategis dalam mendukung performa robot industri. Penelitian ini menganalisis sepuluh referensi ilmiah terkini yang relevan dengan topik, dan menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi sistem kendali memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap peningkatan efisiensi energi, akurasi proses, kecepatan produksi, dan fleksibilitas operasional. Temuan ini mencakup implementasi kendali otomatis pada berbagai sektor, mulai dari AGV, robot pengecat, robotic welding, hingga robot humanoid untuk terapi sosial. Selain memberikan peningkatan efisiensi teknis, sistem kendali otomatis juga memungkinkan pengawasan dan pengambilan keputusan secara real-time. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoritis terhadap pemahaman holistik mengenai peran sistem kendali dalam otomasi robotik, serta menjadi dasar untuk pengembangan riset lebih lanjut yang bersifat eksperimental.
