Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat dan Riset Pendidikan is a journal on Faculty of Education. Abstract

The Thematic Community Service Program (KKNT) on State Defense and SDGs Period II conducted by Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur in Rangkah Village aimed to empower the local community by strengthening the capacity of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This program focused on enhancing participants’ understanding and skills in building effective branding strategies through a workshop titled “Build Image, Strengthen Business.” The implementation methods included lectures, tutorials, discussions, and follow-up mentoring sessions. The results indicated a significant increase in participants’ knowledge regarding the importance of brand image, promotional strategies, and the utilization of social media as a digital marketing tool. Participants began to apply the knowledge gained by rebranding their logos, improving packaging design, and strengthening their product visual identity. This activity had a positive impact on improving the competitiveness and professionalism of MSME actors in Rangkah Village. Therefore, this program contributes to achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 8, which focuses on decent work and economic growth.

Abstract

The Real Work Lecture Program (KKN) Group 20 of Raja Ali Haji Maritime University (UMRAH) in Bintan Buyu Village aims to solve the issue of manual fertilization in the agricultural sector by making a simple fertilizer spreader. The approach applied includes making tools from readily available materials, demonstrations of their use, training for farmers, and testing the effectiveness of tools in the field. Key findings show that the tool can evenly distribute fertilizer at a dose of about 5 grams per pressure, speed up fertilization time by up to 50%, reduce labor and costs, and increase yields. The active participation of farmers in the development and use of these tools supports the sustainability of the program, which provides positive benefits both socially and economically. In conclusion, this simple fertilizer spreader innovation has proven to be the right technological solution to increase agricultural efficiency and productivity in Bintan Buyu Village.

Abstract

The phenomenon of bullying in schools, such as exclusion and physical/verbal violence, has become a serious problem affecting adolescent development. An unsafe environment significantly threatens students' self-esteem, causing low self-confidence. This study aims to examine the effect of bullying on self-esteem in students. This study uses a quantitative method, with an ex-post facto type. The study was conducted at MTS AL-JAM'IYATUL WASHLIYAH PEMATANG JOHAR Jl. Johar Raya, Tj. Selamat, Percut Sei Tuan District, Medan City, North Sumatra 20371. The research time was June 2025. The population was 15 students. The sampling method was total sampling technique. Data collection used a questionnaire. The results of the study showed that there was a very significant influence between bullying and self-esteem, the correlation value R = 0.993 and a significance value <0.000. indicating that the higher the intensity of bullying experienced, the greater the influence on the level of individual self-esteem. The validity test of 15 student respondents with a significance of 5% of the bullying variable showed 27 spread across 3 aspects, namely 22 valid and reliable..

Abstract

This study discusses the existence of Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah, which is still widely found in various regions. Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah plays an important role in educating the community—especially the younger generation—by instilling moral and religious values from an early age. This role becomes even more crucial amid the rapid flow of information and technological advancement, where the boundaries of space and time have virtually disappeared due to the extensive use of online (digital) data technology in daily life. Discussing an educational institution known as a madrasah will always be interesting and seemingly inexhaustible, particularly when viewed from the aspect of its management. Management is essential for any institution—whether consciously realized or not—as a fundamental prerequisite for achieving institutional goals. The better the management applied, the greater the likelihood that the institution will succeed in reaching its objectives, and vice versa. In reality, many Islamic educational institutions, particularly madrasahs, still exhibit levels of productivity that fall short of expectations. Therefore, this paper provides an overview of madrasah management, the problems faced within it, possible solutions, and formulations for further development of these institutions.

Abstract

Indonesia’s constitutional reform since 1998 has brought fundamental changes to the governance system, constitution, and state administration. However, in the era of digital disruption, new challenges have emerged that demand constitutional law to adapt to the dynamics of information technology. This study aims to analyze the challenges of Indonesia’s constitutional reform amidst digital transformation using a library research approach. Data were obtained from academic literature, constitutional regulations, and public policy documents related to digital governance, e-government, and citizens’ digital rights protection. The findings indicate that the major challenges of constitutional reform in the digital era include: (1) the regulatory gap between conventional law and digital practices, (2) the need to affirm constitutional rights regarding personal data and cybersecurity, (3) weak governmental digital governance, and (4) potential violations of democratic principles through the misuse of information technology. This study emphasizes the urgency of reconstructing a constitutional law paradigm that is adaptive, participatory, and responsive to technological development. Future constitutional reforms should integrate digitalization as an essential component of transparent, accountable, and just state administration.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the challenges in implementing Good Corporate Governance (GCG) within Islamic financial management in Indonesia. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis from several Islamic Financial Institutions (IFIs). The findings reveal that although the principles of GCG—transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, and fairness—have been applied, their implementation still faces various obstacles. The main challenges include limited human resources capable of integrating modern management with fiqh muamalah, weak supervision by the Sharia Supervisory Board (SSB), and overlapping regulations between conventional and Islamic systems. To address these issues, IFIs need to enhance human resource competencies, expand the strategic role of the SSB, and develop integrated digital-based compliance systems. This research highlights the importance of synergy between GCG principles and maqasid al-shariah values as the foundation for equitable and sustainable Islamic corporate governance.

Abstract

The digitalization era has brought major transformations to the world of work, where automation, artificial intelligence, and information technology have replaced many conventional human roles. This shift presents serious challenges to employment, especially for workers lacking digital skills. This article aims to analyze the main challenges of unemployment in the digitalization era, its contributing factors, and the strategies that can be implemented to address these challenges. Through literature review and secondary data analysis, it is found that digital unemployment is not only about job losses but also involves digital access inequality, outdated education curricula, and slow adaptation of labor policies. The study concludes that a cross-sectoral collaborative approach and transformation in the education system are necessary to prepare human resources that are relevant to the demands of the digital era.

Abstract

Digital transformation has reshaped recruitment practices in educational institutions, including secondary schools. SMA Negeri 9 Mandau faces increasing demands to attract qualified teachers and educational staff who align with the school’s academic standards and professional culture. This article examines the effectiveness of digital recruitment strategies in enhancing applicant quality, drawing on a comprehensive review of relevant books, scientific journals, and empirical studies on e-recruitment, employer branding, and competency-based selection. The results of the review indicate that digital recruitment contributes positively to expanding applicant reach, streamlining administrative processes, and improving candidate quality provided that the strategy incorporates clear job information, well-structured digital platforms, competency based assessments, and strong employer branding. The study highlights both opportunities and challenges of digital recruitment in the school context, and offers practical recommendations for SMA Negeri 9 Mandau to maximize the benefits of technology-supported hiring.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Leban Karas, Desa Pijoan, Jambi Luar Kota, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Sasaran kegiatan adalah kelompok ibu-ibu warga Leban Karas. Permasalahan: kelompok mitra menghadapi kendala dalam hal sumber daya manusia (SDM), keterbatasan modal, penguasaan teknologi, serta daya tawar produk yang masih rendah. Solusi: diberikan pelatihan mengenai teknologi proses pembuatan biskuit ikan yang lebih higienis, rendah kadar minyak, serta dikemas secara menarik guna meningkatkan minat beli masyarakat. Selain itu, dilakukan juga pembinaan berkelanjutan untuk memperkuat keterampilan dan pengetahuan peserta. Mitra yang Terlibat: warga Leban Karas (Kelompok ibu - ibu) berperan sebagai penerima teknologi dari tim pengabdian. Melalui kegiatan ini, mereka memperoleh ilmu dan keterampilan dalam pengolahan ikan, khususnya pembuatan biskuit berbahan dasar ikan. Hasil dan Pembahasan: penambahan bahan pangan seperti daging ikan gabus dalam pembuatan biskuit menghasilkan produk dengan nilai gizi tinggi, terutama protein. Ikan memiliki keunggulan sebagai sumber protein hewani karena mengandung asam amino esensial yang seimbang dengan kebutuhan tubuh manusia serta asam lemak tak jenuh yang bermanfaat bagi kesehatan. Tim membuat biskuit ikan gabus di rumah, kemudian membagikan leaflet berisi panduan pembuatan serta contoh biskuit yang telah dikemas kepada kelompok ibu-ibu. Para peserta diminta membaca panduan, mencicipi produk, dan mengajukan pertanyaan jika ada hal yang belum dipahami. Kesimpulan:Tim membuat biskuit ikan gabus di rumah, lalu mendistribusikannya beserta leaflet kepada kelompok ibu-ibu Leban Karas sebagai mitra. Para peserta diberi kesempatan mencicipi produk dan memberikan tanggapan terkait proses maupun hasil biskuit.

Abstract

Early literacy is a crucial foundation for children's thinking development during their golden years. In today's digital skills in children, particularly in today's digital age. Using a literature review approach, this article discusses what early literacy actually is, the role of parents in it, the impact of digital media on children's learning, and the age, parents' role as primary educators is increasingly crucial in helping children develop early reading and writing skills, particularly within the home. This scientific article explores how parents can optimally engage in fostering early literacy challenges and opportunities that arise from digitalization. The study found that parental involvement can be enhanced through simple yet effective methods, such as encouraging children to read at home, fostering collaborative communication between parents and children, and intelligently and wisely digital media as a tool to stimulate early literacy skills.
