Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the 3S culture (sipakatau, sipakalebbi, sipakainge) in carrying out the duties of school supervisors at SMAN 9 Wajo. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The informants consist of the principal and two teachers, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with data validity testing using data and method triangulation. The results show that the 3S culture, which includes sipakatau (humanizing each other), sipakalebbi (glorifying each other), and sipakainge (reminding each other), is effectively implemented in managerial supervision by school supervisors. This supervision includes tasks such as inspection, advising, monitoring, coordination, and reporting, playing a significant role in improving school management.

Abstract

The kangkang jump is one of the basic movements in artistic gymnastics, which is the primary focus of this research. Observations conducted at school revealed that the material related to the kangkang jump was not delivered effectively by the teacher due to inadequate facilities required for the learning process. As a result, students exhibited poor kangkang jumping skills, stiff movements, and a lack of confidence due to fear of failure. This study aims to improve students' kangkang jumping skills through a game-based approach. The research employed an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population included all 140 students in grade V at SDN 2 Ciherang, Kadugede District, for the 2023/2024 academic year, with a research sample of 23 students selected through purposive random sampling. The instrument used was a kangkang jump skill assessment test. Data analysis was conducted using a normality test, which indicated that the pretest data (sig = 0.305) and posttest data (sig = 0.27) were normally distributed. A homogeneity test was conducted with sig = 0.451, and a paired sample t-test hypothesis test showed significant results with sig = 0.00. The results of the study demonstrated that the application of a game-based approach in learning significantly improved students' kangkang jumping skills. Future research on learning the kangkang jump can be conducted by integrating technology as an innovation of the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis daya saing UMKM di Kabupaten Buton menggunakan pendekatan Analisis Fisbhone menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitiatif dengan jumlah informan 5 – 10 % dari jumlah total untuk setiap usaha. Metode pengambilan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa UMKM di Kabupaten Buton Tengah menghadapi kendala SDM, permodalan, bahan baku, manajemen, dan teknologi, sehingga daya saing rendah. Pemberdayaan berbasis digital diperlukan, tidak hanya kemudahan perizinan atau bantuan finansial. Kolaborasi Pentahelix antara pemangku kepentingan merupakan model potensial untuk meningkatkan daya saing UMKM di Kabupaten Buton Tengah, melalui dukungan komprehensif bagi UMKM dalam bersaing di pasar lokal maupun global.

Abstract

Children are the nation's next generation who need protection from various forms of violence. Despite the enactment of laws on the elimination of domestic violence and child protection, the behavior of violence against children still persists. This paper examines the legal issue of the criminological perspective on child abuse in Abeli District, Kendari City. To address this legal issue, an empirical juridical legal research method is used with a legal sociology approach supported by a statutory approach. This approach is considered appropriate as it will outline data on cases of child abuse in Abeli District and analyze this data to obtain legal insights into how criminology views various forms of child abuse. The research results show that from 2017 to 2020 in Abeli District, Kendari City, there were 57 cases of child abuse. Additionally, child abuse is proven to be a form of criminal act where the perpetrators can be held criminally accountable through both general and special criminal penalties.

Abstract

This study aims to present the results of a case study on stakeholders' perceptions of community participation in village development activities around mining area in a village in Central Sulawesi. Data were collected from 12 participants through in-depth interviews. Using content analysis and community participation in development as analytical framework, the results of data analysis depict that the community acknowledges the village government’s various efforts to encourage community participation through community development and community involvement in village development. However, the community involvement in village development is still lacking due to limited villagers’ participation. One of the reliant factors for the low participation is because most of the residents are mining workers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan passing dalam permainan bola voli pada siswa, yang disebabkan oleh pemahaman yang kurang tentang teknik passing dan kurang optimalnya pelatihan yang diberikan oleh guru. Guru cenderung memberikan contoh secara menyeluruh tanpa fokus pada pembelajaran yang terstruktur, sehingga keakuratan passing menjadi kurang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan passing bawah dalam permainan bola voli melalui penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan desain pra-tes dan pasca-tes pada satu kelompok. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 34 siswa kelas VIII B, yang diambil secara acak dari populasi 102 siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Selajambe, Kabupaten Kuningan, menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Tes kemampuan passing bola voli digunakan sebagai alat pengukuran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis masalah secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan passing siswa. Pemecahan masalah dalam proses pembelajaran membantu siswa menetapkan target yang lebih spesifik, yang pada akhirnya meningkatkan ketepatan dan keefektifan dalam melakukan passing. Penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan dapat mengintegrasikan teknologi sebagai inovasi dalam pembelajaran bola voli untuk lebih meningkatkan keterampilan siswa.

Abstract

Media utilization plays a crucial role in enhancing the teaching and learning process within the classroom environment. This study investigates how a lecturer at Universitas Muhammadiyah Kendari perceives the use of teaching media in vocabulary instruction. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive approach through a case study, the research involved one lecturer and data collected from three classroom observations and two interviews. The analysis employed thematic coding across six key aspects: purpose, media selection, utilization, benefits, challenges, and effectiveness. The findings indicate that the lecturer employed a diverse range of teaching media, with multimedia resources, such as audio-books, being particularly prominent due to their integration of both audio and visual elements. Interviews data corroborates this observation, revealing the lecturer's belief that selecting appropriate media significantly enhances student engagement and aids in achieving learning objectives. Additionally, the study highlights that integrating various media types fosters a more interactive and dynamic vocabulary learning environment. The results further suggest that the lecturer demonstrates a robust understanding of media utilization, as evidenced by the absence of significant challenges in the process. Overall, the study underscores the effectiveness of diverse media in enriching vocabulary instruction and suggests that strategic media integration can greatly enhance the learning experience.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of the school principal as a teacher leader in enhancing teacher performance at UPTD SDN 360 Anabanua, Maniangpajo District, Wajo Regency. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with the school principal and selected teachers, observations, and document analysis. Findings indicate that the school principal plays a pivotal role in enhancing teacher performance by offering continuous motivation, personalized guidance, resource provision, and emotional support. These leadership practices foster a positive work environment, contributing significantly to improved teacher performance and student outcomes. The study underscores the school principal's role as a transformative leader, essential for driving educational quality improvements in elementary schools. The findings suggest that investing in leadership development for school principals could be a key strategy to advance educational excellence

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in Civic Education learning outcomes between students taught using the STAD cooperative learning model and the Jigsaw cooperative learning model at MAN 1 Kendari. The research method used is an experimental design with a post-test only control group design. The sample consists of 60 students, selected through multi-stage random sampling, with 30 students from class XI IPS2 and 30 students from class XI IPS3. Data were collected using a Civic Education learning outcomes test, which was validated and tested for reliability, with a reliability score of 0.903. The results showed that the average learning outcomes of students taught with the STAD model were higher (87.21) compared to those taught with the Jigsaw model (73.44). Hypothesis testing revealed a significant difference between the two learning models, with a t-value (30) greater than the t-table value (2.390) at a 0.01 significance level. This study concludes that the STAD cooperative learning model is more effective in improving Civic Education learning outcomes compared to the Jigsaw learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of education and compensation on employee work motivation at Suzuki Dealer PT. Megah Putera Kendari. Rapid technological advancements pose new challenges, including the demand for adaptation to big data and automation, which require employees with relevant educational skills. This research uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 55 employees, selected through proportional stratified random sampling. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with SPSS 23 software, including normality tests, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results show that education has a positive and significant effect on work motivation. Good educational qualifications contribute to increasing employee motivation. Additionally, compensation also has a positive and significant effect on work motivation. The better the compensation provided, in line with the principles of fairness, appropriateness, and equity, the higher the employee work motivation. This study highlights the importance of education and fair compensation in enhancing work motivation at PT. Megah Putera Kendari.
