Abstract

This research aims to design and develop a battery-based windmill diorama as a teaching aid for science education to improve student understanding and provide an effective alternative learning media. The research method used is the Research & Development concept, employing the 4-D model which includes the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The focus of the research is on the topic of energy and its transformations for fourth-grade elementary school students. The research instrument used is an evaluation by experts to assess the quality of the media based on predetermined criteria. The results of the study indicate that the battery-based windmill diorama received an evaluation score of 91%, which falls into the "very good" category. This media is declared to meet all established criteria and can be used without requiring revisions.

Abstract

Ego merupakan bagian dari kepribadian seseorang. Sigmund Freud menyatakan bahwa kepribadian manusia terdiri dari tiga komponenutama yaitu id, ego dan super ego. Ego merupakan bagian dari identitas yang dibangun oleh individu itu sendiri. Pada dasarnya egotidak selalu bersifat negatif. Yang dimaksud dengan kekuatan ego adalah kualitas bawaan yang mendatangkan berbagai bentuk energidan vibrasi kepada seseorang selama hidup, yang mencerminkan berkembangnya jiwa komitmen yang kokoh terhadap cita-cita,keyakinan, orang lain yang berarti dan masyarakat luas. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif karena fokuspenelitian ini terkait dengan gejala dan kemungkinan menemukan, mengetahui, memahami gejala sosial yang diteliti. Informan dalampenelitian ini berjumlah 5 orang yang meliputi guru BK, koordinator guru BK, dan siswa kelas X. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yangdilakukan melalui wawancara diperoleh bahwa peran guru BK dalam meningkatkan kekuatan ego siswa di SMAN 5 Bukittinggi sudahdioptimalkan dengan sebaik-baiknya dengan mengupayakan kegiatan layanan bimbingan dan konseling yang dibuktikan dengan hasilwawancara dimana guru BK membantu siswa dalam memecahkan masalahnya, melatih siswa dalam mengemukakan pendapat danmendorong siswa agar berani dalam mengambil keputusan, guru BK juga melatih siswa agar dengan sukarela belajar meminta maafatau memaafkan orang lain dengan baik, dan mendorong siswa agar mampu memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya dengan baik, sertamemberikan layanan bimbingan dan konseling yang mendukung peningkatan kekuatan ego siswa secara terus menerus di sekolah.Guru BK juga bekerja sama dengan pihak sekolah lainnya seperti guru mata pelajaran, wali kelas atau staf lainnya

Abstract

The integration of social media through YouTube now draws extensive worldwide interest for use in educational practice. YouTube serves as a beneficial educational resource in Timor-Leste by helping improve learning at the tertiary level because traditional teaching materials are not easily accessible. This review examines how YouTube enhances educational success for Timor-Leste's tertiary students. The research investigation reveals vital aspects which cover accessibility together with student engagement as well as independent learning methods yet the analysis also addresses digital competency limitations and network resource problems. The research indicates that YouTube serves as a powerful learning enhancement platform through its available multidimensional content that keeps students engaged. Optimal use of YouTube educational resources demands solution of connectivity problems and skill deficiencies in digital learning methods. The paper finishes by providing concrete advice for teachers and policy leaders who want to make full use of YouTube for education purposes at the tertiary course level.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to analyse reasons why postgraduate students at the Instituto Católico para a Formação de Professores (ICFP), translated from Portuguese as Catholic Teachers College, Baucau, face difficulties in continuing their studies. This study used the qualitative method for research and analysis. The data collection guidelines involved interviews with different sources, including six postgraduate students, one representative lecturer, and one parent, to make the data valid and credible. The thematic analysis was applied to analyse the obtained data. This research indicates that students need to extend their studies due to various difficulties, such as balancing double responsibilities, academic problems, personal issues, job status problems, financial difficulties, and low motivation. These difficulties become significant obstacles that cause students to prolong their studies. Based on the study results, the research concluded that the problems and difficulties are situational conditions that hinder postgraduate students from completing their studies and obtaining their postgraduate diploma within the appropriate timeframe.

Abstract

Pendidikan dasar memiliki peran strategis dalam membentuk karakter dan kualitas sumber daya manusia yang unggul. Integrasiteknologi dalam pembelajaran serta penerapan budaya lokal menjadi pendekatan inovatif untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pendidikan.SDN Banjarpanji memiliki potensi besar dalam mengembangkan model pembelajaran yang berbasis budaya lokal, didukung denganpemanfaatan teknologi guna meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan teknologi danintegrasi budaya lokal dalam proses pembelajaran di SDN Banjarpanji. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan teknologimasih terbatas, dengan mayoritas guru masih menggunakan metode konvensional. Faktor utama yang menghambat optimalisasiteknologi dalam pembelajaran adalah keterbatasan fasilitas serta kurangnya pelatihan bagi pendidik. Selain itu, budaya lokal belumterintegrasi secara sistematis dalam kurikulum, di mana elemen budaya seperti cerita rakyat dan kesenian daerah hanya digunakansecara sporadis. Tantangan utama yang dihadapi dalam upaya integrasi teknologi dan budaya lokal meliputi keterbatasan sarana,kurangnya kompetensi guru dalam pemanfaatan teknologi, serta perlunya sinergi antara sekolah, masyarakat, dan pemerintah. Olehkarena itu, diperlukan strategi yang mencakup peningkatan akses terhadap teknologi, pelatihan bagi guru, serta pengembangankurikulum yang lebih fleksibel untuk mengakomodasi nilai-nilai budaya lokal. Dengan implementasi yang optimal, SDN Banjarpanjidapat menjadi model dalam mengembangkan pendidikan berbasis teknologi yang tetap mempertahankan kearifan lokal, sehingga dapatmenciptakan sistem pembelajaran yang lebih kontekstual dan relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa di era digital

Abstract

Student participation in learning is an important aspect of their academic success. Therefore, this research aims to understand the influence of second-year students' participation in learning on study results at the Catholic Institute for Teacher Training (ICFP). ICFP conducted this research, which involved 61 second-year students, thereby qualifying it as population research. The researcher selected the research subjects using a random sampling technique. The research method used to collect data is quantitative, and the research instrument is a questionnaire survey. The questionnaire used a Likert scale measure. To assess that the instrument is valid, reliable, and normally distributed, the researcher tested it through validity, reliability, and normality tests. The researcher tested the validity of the questionnaire items using the 'empirical validity' technique, which involves correlation testing using SPSS21. The Cronbach alpha technique tests the reliability of credible items. The normality test of the instrument used ‘Kolmogorov-Smirnov.’ Linked to the data analysis technique, the researcher used simple linear regression to measure the influence between two variables. Thus, the research results indicated that student participation did not influence their study results. This finding indicates that other factors that may influence their learning outcomes include motivational, social, and learning quality factors.

Abstract

The integration of technology in English language teaching has brought about a paradigm shift in educational methodologies. It offers a diverse range of tools and resources that facilitate interactive, flexible, and student-centered learning environments. This study explores the perceptions of teachers and students on the use of technology in English language education, focusing on its benefits, challenges, and overall impact. Teachers perceive technology as a valuable aid in enhancing student engagement and providing access to authentic language materials, while also expressing concerns about dependency, technical issues, and unequal access. Students, on the other hand, appreciate the interactivity and flexibility provided by technological tools but acknowledge distractions and over-reliance as potential drawbacks. The research employs qualitative methods, including semi-structured interviews with teachers and focus group discussions with students, to uncover nuanced perspectives. Findings indicate that while technology enhances accessibility and personalized learning, its effectiveness depends on factors such as teacher preparedness, balanced usage, and equitable access. This study underscores the need for professional development for educators and strategic policies to address disparities in access. A balanced approach combining traditional and technological methods is recommended to optimize the potential of digital tools in English language teaching

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran adaptif berbasis pemrograman kecerdasan buatan (AI) dan prinsip psikologi pendidikan di SMPN 2 Candi, Sidoarjo. Media ini dirancang untuk menyesuaikan konten dan metode pembelajaran dengan gaya belajar, motivasi, serta kemampuan individu siswa. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model Borg & Gall yang dimodifikasi. Proses pengembangan melibatkan analisis kebutuhan, desain produk, validasi ahli, uji coba terbatas dan luas, serta evaluasi efektivitas media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran adaptif berbasis AI meningkatkan pemahaman siswa secara signifikan, dengan rata-rata kenaikan skor post-test sebesar 23,5% dibanding pre-test. Media ini mengintegrasikan algoritma sederhana untuk pemetaan preferensi belajar siswa dan memberikan umpan balik otomatis sesuai dengan performa siswa. Dari perspektif psikologi pendidikan, media ini juga terbukti meningkatkan motivasi intrinsik dan kemandirian belajar siswa. Selain itu, sistem memungkinkan guru untuk melakukan asesmen formatif secara real-time, sehingga intervensi pembelajaran dapat dilakukan secara lebih tepat dan efisien. Secara keseluruhan, media ini dinilai layak dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran reguler, serta sejalan dengan prinsip Kurikulum Merdeka yang menekankan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, personalisasi, dan penguatan karakter. Inovasi ini menjadi langkah strategis dalam menjawab tantangan pendidikan di era digital.

Abstract

This thesis research departs from problems seen in the field, where currently many educators still use conventional media. The background of this thesis is that the only media used by teachers in the eyes of Jurisprudence is the blackboard in the school. Even though at the school there are infocus facilities that can be used as learning media, teachers also do not utilize technology-based media. This has an impact on students' interest in learning and the quality of learning. Therefore, the researcher wants to develop an animated video on the Islamic Jurisprudence subject, using the Powtoon application at MTsN 15 Tanah Datar. The aim of this research is to determine the validity and practicality of the product being developed, namely animated videos on the Islamic Jurisprudence subject, the material on Mavaris. This research uses a type of field research, with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implement and Evaluation) development model method. The research procedure begins with the needs analysis stage of product development, the design or product planning stage, the product development stage, the implementation or product testing stage and the evaluation stage. Data collection tools include validation sheets and questionnaires. The product trial subjects are located at MTsN 15 Tanah Datar. Data analysis techniques for validation and response questionnaires use the Aiken Formula. Based on the results of the validity test of animated videos using the Powtoon application in Class IX at MTsN 15 Tanah Datar, the validation results on the media aspect in general are 0.94 with the criteria "very valid" and the validation results on the material aspects in general are 0.91 with the criteria "very valid" so the developed animated video can be used. The research continues to the implementation stage. The animated video was tested on eighteen class IX students for practicality testing. The practicality test on the media display aspect in general received a score of 0.85 with the criteria "very practical" and the material presentation aspect in general received a score of 0.85 with the criteria "very practical". Conclusion: Animated video media using the Powtoon application in Fiqh subjects at MTsN 15 Tanah Datar is suitable for use in Fiqh subjects

Abstract

The transformation of education in the digital era has driven the integration of technology into the learning process, including the introduction of coding and artificial intelligence (AI) at the elementary school level. Digital literacy is now an essential skill that students must acquire early on to face the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the society 5.0 era. This study aims to explore innovative management practices in the implementation of coding and AI learning and their impact on improving digital literacy among elementary school students. A qualitative approach with a case study design was used, involving several elementary schools in Indonesia. Data were collected through direct observation of classroom activities, interviews with teachers and school principals, and analysis of documents related to educational policies and curriculum. The findings indicate that integrating coding and AI learning can effectively enhance students' critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. However, several obstacles hinder implementation, including limited infrastructure, teachers’ lack of technological competence, and resistance to change. Therefore, innovative and collaborative learning management, as well as supportive policies, are essential to ensure the sustainability of this program in improving digital literacy among elementary school students.
