Abstract

Yujonokohi, a ready-to-drink (RTD) coffee company based in Malang, has experienced stagnation and declining sales, allegedly caused by intense competition from similar products offered at lower prices and a lack of packaging innovation that appeals to consumers. This study aims to implement the Design Thinking method in the innovation and development of RTD coffee product packaging at Yujonokohi. This descriptive qualitative study adopts a Design Thinking approach consisting of six stages: definition, research, interpretation, ideation, prototyping, and evaluation. The data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews with the owner of Yujonokohi and target consumers (Generations Y and Z), and document analysis. The study is expected to result in a prototype design for RTD coffee packaging that is innovative, functional, and aligned with the preferences of the target market, thereby providing added value, enhancing visual appeal, and ultimately improving sales and the company’s competitiveness in the coffee industry.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the creative industry in Indonesia highlights the urgent need for busi-ness development strategies that can help small and medium enterprises remain competi-tive and sustainable. This qualitative study focuses on business development planning for Candyco Handmade Crochet. It identifies three main challenges faced by Candyco: lim-ited marketing strategies, production management causing stock imbalances, and signifi-cant competition from similar businesses offering diverse products at competitive prices. The research analyzes data to propose a comprehensive market development strategy emphasizing innovative marketing through live shopping, efficient production manage-ment, and better brand differentiation. The findings reveal that the strategies increase the opportunities for Candyco to expand market reach, achieve revenue targets, and improve competitiveness in the handmade crochet sector. This study is expected to contribute to business development planning in the creative industry and provide effective standard operating procedures (SOP) for Candyco’s operational activities. Moreover, the results can serve as a practical reference for other creative SMEs seeking to strengthen market posi-tioning and achieve sustainable growth.

Abstract

The rolling stock manufacturing industry, as part of the national strategic sector, is facing global challenges such as technological competition, price pressure, and increasing demands for operational efficiency. In this context, it is essential for PT Industri Kereta Api (Persero), the sole national rolling stock manufacturer, to formulate a business strategy that is both integrated and adaptive. This study aims to analyze the corporate strategy of INKA using the Diamond Strategy framework, which includes five elements: arenas, vehicles, differentiators, staging, and economic logic. A qualitative descriptive approach was conducted with a case study method, utilizing in-depth interviews, documentation, and literature review for data collection. The findings show that INKA's corporate strategy reflects all five elements of the Diamond Strategy, though with varying degrees of effectiveness. The elements of arenas and vehicles are implemented consistently, while staging and economic logic still require improvement in internal integration and resource allocation. These results highlight the importance of a cohesive alignment among strategic elements to enhance the company's global competitiveness. The implications of this study not only contribute to the theoretical development of the Diamond Strategy in the context of state-owned enterprises, but also offer practical recommendations for corporate leaders to build more responsive and sustainable strategies.

Abstract

The urgency of this research stems from the rapid growth of Indonesia's healthcare industry, which has not been uniformly matched by improvements in service quality and digital adoption, particularly in private Type C hospitals. RSU Yoshua, a private Type C hospital in a semi-urban area, demonstrates this gap; despite a strategic location, it shows suboptimal performance, including a low Bed Occupancy Rate (BOR). The study aims to formulate a competitive strategy for RSU Yoshua to enhance its market position. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach, utilizing triangulation of data from in-depth interviews, internal documents, and literature. Strategic analysis was conducted using the IFE, EFE, SWOT, IE Matrix, and QSPM framework. The results indicate that RSU Yoshua is in a "hold and maintain" strategic position, signifying moderate internal capabilities amidst a relatively favorable external environment. The QSPM analysis prioritizes three strategies: (1) leveraging experienced teams to offer personalized services and improve patient satisfaction, (2) investing in digital marketing to increase visibility, and (3) optimizing its strategic location through telehealth and community outreach. This study validates the applicability of the David & David strategic model for resource-constrained private hospitals and provides actionable recommendations for digital transformation and service differentiation to ensure long-term sustainability.

Abstract

The growing competition in the motorcycle spare parts market pushes small businesses to keep innovating if they want to survive and expand. Without clear strategies, many risk stagnation or losing ground to competitors. This study explores the business feasibility of Putri Jaya Motor Go Solution as a way to boost competitiveness and design a more structured business plan. The store, located in the Karangduren Village market, offers spare parts from multiple brands but continues to face challenges such as limited promotion, lack of service differentiation, and operational inefficiencies. Using descriptive qualitative methods through observation and document analysis, the research finds that the model is financially feasible, generating promising profits with relatively low risk. The findings highlight practical lessons for small businesses in adopting digital-based services and stress the role of technology and customer-oriented strategies in driving long-term growth.
