Abstract

General Background: Effective digital marketing strategies are crucial for influencing consumer purchasing decisions in the skincare industry. Specific Background: Despite the rise of TikTok as a marketing platform, understanding the relative impact of content marketing, influencer marketing, brand image, and price perception on purchasing decisions remains underexplored. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies have not sufficiently addressed the specific role of these factors within the context of TikTok for skincare products. Aims: This research aims to evaluate the influence of content marketing, influencer marketing, brand image, and price perception on the purchasing decisions of Wardah skincare products on TikTok. Results: Utilizing a quantitative approach with a sample of 100 Wardah skincare buyers and/or TikTok followers, the study reveals that content marketing and influencer marketing do not significantly impact purchasing decisions. In contrast, brand image and price perception have a significant positive effect. Novelty: The study introduces new insights into the effectiveness of TikTok marketing strategies specifically for skincare products and highlights the dominant role of brand image and price perception over content and influencer marketing. Implications: To enhance marketing efficacy, Wardah should focus on optimizing brand image, improving content marketing quality, selecting credible influencers, and employing strategic pricing. This integrated approach will help Wardah strengthen its market position and achieve better consumer engagement in the competitive skincare industry.

Abstract

General background: Streptococcus pneumoniae is a major pathogen responsible for various severe diseases, including respiratory infections, bacteraemia, and otitis media, as well as bacterial meningitis. Specific background: Meningitis caused by S. pneumoniae is highly fatal, resulting from the bacteria crossing the blood-brain barrier into the subarachnoid space, triggering an immune response that can lead to central nervous system (CNS) damage. Knowledge gap: While vaccines like the pneumococcal conjugate and the 23-valent polysaccharide vaccines have reduced disease incidence, they remain insufficient against all serotypes, and antibiotic resistance is rising, underscoring the need for novel therapeutic approaches. Aims: This review aims to summarize the mechanisms by which S. pneumoniae causes meningitis, focusing on the interactions between CNS barriers, the host immune system, and the bacterial genetic features that facilitate infection. It also aims to highlight current limitations in treatment and the need for advanced genomic analyses for new therapeutic and diagnostic strategies. Results: The study outlines how S. pneumoniae colonizes the nasopharynx, evades host immune defenses, and crosses CNS barriers, leading to neuronal damage through inflammatory processes. Existing vaccines show efficacy but fail to cover all serotypes, and increasing antibiotic resistance exacerbates the challenge. Novelty: This review integrates knowledge of both bacterial genetics and host immune responses, emphasizing the interplay that drives CNS injury in meningitis. Furthermore, it stresses the critical need for refined genomic approaches to develop new therapeutic targets. Implications: Understanding the pathogenesis of S. pneumoniae meningitis and advancing vaccine development are crucial for reducing mortality and improving clinical outcomes in both children and adults globally.

Abstract

Tender procurement is an activity that is carried out openly to meet the demand for needs within a company by considering considerations in terms of quality, quantity, delivery time, as well as price and is usually used for procurement in large quantities and values which are also complex. The aim of this research is to determine the process of procuring goods and services using the tender method and the obstacles in implementing the procurement process using the tender method at PT. BRI Asuransi Indonesia Head Office Jakarta. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research method using data collection techniques, namely interviews, observation and documentation, then obtaining data sources from primary data and secondary data which are processed using data analysis techniques through reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions as well as applying triangulation of source data and time. The results of this research indicate that the implementation of the procurement process using the tender method at PT. BRI Asuransi Indonesia Jakarta Head Office has complex procedures and is guided by the procedures stated in the decision letter. The stages start from the distribution of announcements, the analysis process, document collection, document assessment, clarification and negotiation, announcement of winners, to the issuance of purchase order documents and work orders. The process of tender procurement has not been carried out effectively because there are still obstacles found in the process, namely (1) there is a process that is carried out manually and (2) the length of time for the process of making agreement documents. The company can overcome these obstacles by implementing an e-procurement system to speed up the process, accompanied by providing outreach regarding how to use it and then also improving coordination between the compliance and risk management division and the legal team related to creating applicable document templates to save inspection time. Keywords : Process, Procurement, Tender.

Abstract

Technological developments have changed the way business is done in Indonesia, pushing companies to adapt quickly. Both digital and non-digital technologies play an important role in managing an increasingly connected and competitive business. In the logistics sector, especially in procurement, technology plays an important role in improving efficiency and transparency. The provision of resources through procurement is a key aspect of logistics management, which requires appropriate regulations and policies to ensure effective fulfillment of needs. This procurement process often involves bidding, both with local and international companies, to select qualified and suitable providers. However, the procurement process certainly has some problems such as the non-processing of a document. One of the state-owned companies that has implemented e-procurement is PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS). This study aims to identify the application of the e-procurement system and inhibiting factors in the application of the e-procurement system in the process of procuring goods and services at PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS). The research method used by the author is descriptive qualitative. The data used by the author is obtained through interviews with supporting data related to the problems that occur. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the e-procurement system at PT Pertamina International Shipping (PIS) has not run optimally because there are still inhibiting factors, namely human resources who have not mastered e-procurement, unstable internet and system errors. Abstract

General Background: Retail companies serve as crucial intermediaries between producers and end consumers, providing a wide range of products to meet daily needs. Specific Background: However, many retail companies encounter challenges in inventory management and stock provision, often stemming from insufficient analysis of sales and inventory data. Knowledge Gap: Existing research on inventory management in retail lacks a focus on predictive analytics techniques that leverage sales data to optimize ordering strategies. Aims: This study aims to identify sales patterns using the Decision Tree C4.5 algorithm, with the goal of predicting sales for various products to enhance ordering strategies. Results: Employing primary data collected via the company’s API and direct interviews with Order Management staff and the regional director of Jabodetabek, sales data spanning six months (November 2023 to April 2024) was analyzed using data mining techniques on the RapidMiner platform. The findings reveal that the Decision Tree algorithm effectively identifies product sales predicates, achieving a model accuracy of 96.20%. Novelty: This research introduces a data-driven approach to inventory management in retail, utilizing advanced decision tree algorithms for enhanced sales prediction. Implications: The implementation of the proposed model is expected to significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the company’s ordering processes, ultimately leading to better inventory control and customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Adolescent sexual behavior is a significant concern in efforts to maintain reproductive and mental health among adolescents in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing adolescent sexual behavior in Sidoarjo Regency. Using a holistic approach, this research examines the impact of various internal factors such as reproductive health knowledge and self-control, as well as external factors such as peer influence, family, and social media exposure. This study employs a descriptive quantitative method with a survey approach, involving 300 adolescents from several high schools in Sidoarjo. The results indicate that peer influence and social media exposure significantly contribute to adolescent sexual behavior, followed by low reproductive health knowledge. Based on these findings, an integrated intervention program involving the active role of families, schools, and media is needed to improve adolescents’ understanding and self-control.
