Abstract

Online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic is a choice so that learning can continue. However, in its implementation, various obstacles were found. These obstacles are caused by poor internet networks, limited internet quotas, and the availability of teaching materials that do not support the online learning process. Therefore the objectives of this study are to describe: 1) The validity of the biology e-module, 2) The practicality of the biology e-module, and 3) Students’  responses to the biology e-module based on I-SETS using eXeLearning on bacterial material. The method used in this study is the research and development method with the ADDIE model. The result shows that: 1) The average validity results of biology e-modules, include the material validity of 94,5% (very valid) and the media validity of 95% (very valid), 2) The practicality of the biology e-module was obtained at 94% (very practical), and 3) The average student’s responses to the biology e-module was obtained at 85% (very good).  So, it can be concluded that the biology e-module that has been successfully developed can be used in online biology learning.

Abstract

In the new normal era, educators seek to balance learners' safety and learning rights. However, because the quantity of learners in MIN 3 Banyuwangi is very much and they are required to comply with health protocols (primarily maintaining distance), the solution taken by MIN 3 Banyuwangi is implementing a blended learning model in teaching and learning activities (KBM). The focus of the problem in this study is the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Islamic education using the blended learning model. This study aims to determine the planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning using the combined learning model. Researchers use a descriptive qualitative approach to the type of case study. The data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation. At the same time, the data analysis used is Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model data analysis consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. Then, the validity of the data that researchers use is the source triangulation and triangulation techniques. This study obtained the following results: 1) MIN 3 Banyuwangi prepares learning scenarios and creates learning tools in planning activities. 2) in the implementation of learning, there are three activities: introduction, core, and closing. 3) as for learning evaluation, educators measure learners' learning outcomes from cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects through daily tasks, PTS, and PAS. In implementing PTS and PAS, MIN 3 Banyuwangi divided two groups. The upper class uses Computer-based Test mode, and the lower class uses paper and Pen mode. In addition, in the evaluation activities, the head of the madrasah has also reflected on the performance of educators by providing KBM journals and conducting socialization activities on "teacher performance assessment."

Abstract

Chemistry learning activities for high school students to make it more attractive can be done with learning media innovations. The appropriate learning media to be applied at this time is blended learning-based media. One of the characteristics that need to be developed in the blended learning model is religious character. The religious character in chemistry lessons can be related to the verses in the Qur'an, one of which is the material on the rate of reaction. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the module, student responses, and the feasibility of the module for class XI students on the reaction rate material. This research method uses R&D ( Research and Development) Borg & Gall. The results showed that the validation test of the integrated reaction rate module of religious characters showed a very high value with an average material score of 87.6% and media of 89%. In the small-scale trial, the results of student responses to the integrated module with religious character were categorized as very feasible. Based on the results of the discussion, it can be concluded that the reaction rate module with religious characteristics can be used as an alternative medium for class XI students.

Abstract

The COVID-19 crisis has effected a radical shift in the learning process, with conventional approaches giving way to online learning. Such an approach necessitates appropriate infrastructure and sufficient human resources. This study seeks to show the failure of suddenly implementing online learning in an emergency. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach by collecting data through online interviews with students and lecturers at the Kediri Institute of Islamic Studies. It finds that online education has reduced students and lecturers' independence owing to three factors. First, institutions' bureaucratic procurement channels and limited funding allocation have resulted in unmet infrastructural needs. Second, lecturers have not been prepared to adapt to online learning, which requires different attitudes and competencies than conventional learning. Third, students and their families have been unable to handle the expense of internet access in their rural homes, where such infrastructure is limited. This study recommends a more comprehensive study that contrasts the effects of COVID-19 on different types of schools and social class  as this would provide a strong basis for evaluating the government's ability to continue providing education in emergencies.
