Abstract

Background: This research aims to determine the effect of brand image and viral marketing on the purchase desicion Kokumi products in Medan Selayang District. The focus of this research is to analyze how a brand is perceived by consumers and how strongly viral marketing strategies can encourage consumers to make transactions. Method: The sample in this research used purposive sampling, consisting of 100 respondents who had consumed Kokumi products at least twice. Data collection methods included interviews, questionnaires, and documentation studies. Data analysis techniques include descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²). Results: The results of this research show that brand image and viral marketing simultaneously have a significant effect on purchasing decisions. The tests conducted show that brand image and viral marketing partially have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. The Adjusted R Square value on purchasing decisions was 0.872, meaning that 87.2% can be explained by brand image and viral marketing. Conclusion: The practical implications of this research indicate that Kokumi management can be more adapt to existing market changes, especially since the current F&B market competition is quite tight.

Abstract

Background: Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in economic development, particularly in emerging economies such as Indonesia. However, many MSMEs struggle to achieve sustainable economic well-being amid rapid digital transformation. This study examines the impact of multidimensional social ties bonding, bridging, and linking on MSMEs’ economic well-being and investigates the moderating role of social environment in the digital era. A quantitative approach was employed using a cross-sectional survey of 312 MSME owners. Method: Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate both measurement and structural models, including moderation effects. Economic well-being was conceptualized as a multidimensional construct comprising income stability, financial security, and subjective well-being, while social environment was operationalized through digitalization, locality, and community support. Results: The findings demonstrate that all dimensions of social ties significantly influence economic well-being, with bridging social ties exhibiting the strongest effect. Furthermore, the social environment significantly moderates these relationships, strengthening the impact of social ties under favorable digital and community conditions. Conclusion: This study contributes to the literature by advancing social capital theory through a multidimensional and context-dependent perspective. Practically, the findings provide strategic insights for policymakers and MSME stakeholders to enhance resilience by strengthening social networks and improving digital and institutional ecosystems.

Abstract

Background: The global economy in 2026 faces increasingly complex challenges, ranging from trade fragmentation to geopolitical tensions that trigger commodity price volatility. In facing these dynamics, the Indonesian Government, through the 2026 Macroeconomic Framework and Main Fiscal Policy Principles (KEM-PPKF), positions the State Budget (APBN) as the main shock absorber to maintain macroeconomic stability. This research aims to elaborate on the strategic role of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan as a fiscal instrument in ensuring the stability of workers' welfare in Indonesia. Method: Using a qualitative approach and literature review, this analysis explores how social security can function as an automatic stabilizer that supports national economic resilience Results: The findings show that BPJS Ketenagakerjaan has evolved into a major pillar of social protection. However, significant structural challenges remain in reaching informal sector workers and achieving closer policy synchronization between the social security system and the national fiscal agenda. Conclusion: The study concludes that the integration of social security into the national fiscal strategy is urgently needed to transform the paradigm of social protection from a cost burden into a strategic investment that supports inclusive and sustainable economic resilience.

Abstract

Background: This study examines the influence of spiritual values and religiosity on behavioral intention to use Islamic fintech, with trust in sharia governance as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Method: Modeling (PLS-SEM), data were collected from 1480 student respondents through questionnaires. The study analyzes relationships among Perceived Taqwa Value, Spiritual Risk Aversion, Religio-Financial Literacy, Religious Social Norms, Trust in Sharia Governance, and Behavioral Intention. Results: The findings reveal that Perceived Taqwa Value significantly and positively affects the intention to use Islamic fintech. However, Spiritual Risk Aversion, Religio-Financial Literacy, Religious Social Norms, and Trust in Sharia Governance do not show significant direct effects. Additionally, trust in sharia governance does not function as a mediating variable. The primary barriers identified are limited financial capacity and lack of experience with Islamic fintech services. Conclusion: This study contributes to the development of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) by incorporating spiritual and religious dimensions in financial behavior analysis. It highlights that taqwa is a key driver in shaping sharia-based financial intentions among young Muslims. The study suggests that Islamic fintech providers should emphasize spiritual values and improve accessibility through affordable services. Future research should involve broader samples and consider economic factors.

Abstract

Background: Despite Indonesia's Muslim population of 207 million, the sharia financial inclusion rate stands at only 13.41%, markedly lagging behind the conventional financial inclusion rate of 80.51%. Meanwhile, 92% of customers of Indonesia's largest Islamic bank already utilize conventional super app ecosystems for daily financial transactions, exposing an architectural gap that remains unaddressed in the academic literature. This study aims to propose the first conceptual framework that positions the sharia super app as an integrated Islamic finance distribution model in Indonesia. Method: The methodology integrates a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the PRISMA protocol applied to 39 articles retrieved from Scopus (2016–2026), bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer, and conceptual framework development via a Theory Synthesis approach. Results: The study produces the SAFE Framework (Sharia-Aligned Financial Ecosystem), which positions the sharia super app as the highest manifestation of a Digital Business Ecosystem, integrating seven core services (Islamic banking, sharia e-wallet, sharia investment, digital ZISWAF, sharia peer-to-peer lending, halal marketplace, and Islamic insurance) under a robust sharia governance layer, evaluated through the lens of Maqasid al-Shariah as a normative framework. Conclusion: The study contributes as the first academic work to model the sharia super app as an Islamic finance distribution channel in Indonesia, to operationalize Maqasid al-Shariah as an evaluative instrument for Islamic fintech ecosystem design, and to provide a realistic implementation blueprint for practitioners, regulators, and future researchers.

Abstract

Background: The depreciation of the rupiah exchange rate is an economic phenomenon that can impact the export competitiveness of Indonesian halal products. While the rupiah's depreciation has the potential to increase product price competitiveness in the international market, it can also increase production costs due to the industry's dependence on imported raw materials and technology. This study aims to analyze the impact of rupiah depreciation on the competitiveness of Indonesian halal exports and examine it from an Islamic international economic perspective. Method: This research uses a qualitative approach with a narrative literature review method. Data was collected from scientific articles, academic books, official institutional reports, and various publications relevant to exchange rates, export competitiveness, halal industry, and Islamic economics. The analysis was carried out using thematic analysis techniques through a process of identification, categorization and synthesis of previous research findings. Dalam perspektif ekonomi internasional Islam, peningkatan ekspor halal harus mendukung prinsip maslahah, al-'adl, dan tawazun Conclusion: Conclusion: Rupiah depreciation can support the competitiveness of Indonesia’s halal exports, but its impact remains limited without improvements in product quality, halal certification, production capacity, and market access. Therefore, exchange rate depreciation should be viewed as a supporting factor rather than the primary driver of halal export competitiveness.

Abstract

Background: Rising consumer skepticism toward palm oil-based products due to desirability concerns has prompted companies to adopt more persuasive communication strategies. However, empirical research examining the effectiveness of AI-generated green brand storytelling integrated with narrative rhetoric is limited. This study aims to investigate the impact of narrative rhetoric storytelling on immersion, brand trust, and brand loyalty. Method: This study uses a quantitative method where data were collected from 350 respondents using purposive sampling and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), supplemented by an independent sample t-test. Results: The findings indicate that storytelling incorporating elements of narrative rhetoric has a significantly stronger effect on brand loyalty compared to non-narrative storytelling. Furthermore, anthropomorphism, reversal, and symbolism significantly increase consumer immersion, with symbolism showing the strongest effect. Immersion was found to significantly influence brand trust, which in turn was the most significant predictor of brand loyalty. Conclusion: The conclusion highlight the sequential mechanisms by which narrative rhetorical elements increase engagement, which strengthens trust and ultimately drives loyalty. This study extends narrative rhetorical theory by demonstrating its role in sustainability communication and provides empirical evidence that persuasive storytelling can effectively reduce consumer skepticism and strengthen long-term brand relationships in the context of palm oil-based products

Abstract

Background: The global Muslim population reached 26% in 2020 and is projected to reach 34% by 2070, driving significant demand for halal tourism. Indonesia, as the country with the largest Muslim population, possesses enormous potential for Sharia tourism development, yet faces challenges including unclear regulations, limited facilities, and low public awareness of halal certification. In Aceh, only two out of 84 accommodation units have obtained halal certification despite many claiming to operate on Sharia principles. Method: This study employed a quantitative approach with explanatory and correlational research design. A sample of 600 respondents was selected using simple random sampling from star-rated hotels in Banda Aceh. Data were collected through closed questionnaires with a 1-5 Likert scale. Data analysis utilized Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) using SmartPLS 4.0 software. Results: The results indicate that all branding variables—Brand Salience, Brand Meaning, Brand Response, Brand Resonance—and the Role of Government have significant positive influences on Sharia tourism development (p-value < 0.05). Brand Resonance demonstrated the strongest influence (path coefficient 0.321), followed by the Role of Government (0.289). The model showed good goodness of fit with SRMR 0.035 and NFI 0.926. Conclusion: The conclusion emphasizes that strong halal accommodation branding and government support through regulation and oversight are essential keys to positioning Aceh as a leading destination in the global halal tourism industry.

Abstract

Background: Inflation in Bengkulu Province has weakened public purchasing power and the real sector, while simultaneously elevating Non-Performing Financing (NPF) risks and destabilizing Third-Party Funds (DPK) in Islamic banking. In response, the Financial Services Authority (OJK) issued POJK No. 12/2023 on Sharia Business Units (UUS). This regulation aims to fortify institutional frameworks, capital, governance, and Sharia compliance, enabling UUS to better withstand inflationary shocks. This study examines the regulation's core provisions, its implementation in Bengkulu, and its impact on regional banking stability. Method: This descriptive qualitative study employs a library research approach, analyzing secondary data from official OJK, Bank Indonesia, and BPS reports on regional economics, inflation, and banking performance. Data were collected via documentary study and analyzed using content and qualitative descriptive analysis, involving data reduction, narrative presentation, and conclusion drawing. Results: The findings reveal that POJK 12/2023 reinforces UUS resilience through mandatory minimum core capital, spin-off requirements into full Sharia Commercial Banks, strengthened Sharia Supervisory Boards, and stricter governance audits. In Bengkulu, these measures are supported by OJK Regional Office VI supervision, outreach via TPID and TPAKD forums, and local adjustments in capital and risk management. Conclusion: Overall, POJK 12/2023 is positively contributing to Islamic banking stability in Bengkulu. However, its full potential is constrained by persistently low Islamic financial literacy and limited banking accessibility in rural areas, which continue to hinder broader economic impact.

Abstract

Background: The proliferation of remote work has transformed organizational interaction dynamics and heightened concerns regarding employees’ social connectedness. However, the effects of remote work on workplace loneliness vary across organizational sectors and remain insufficiently understood. Therefore, this study aims to examine the impact of remote work on workplace loneliness and identify contextual risk factors influencing this relationship. Method: This study employed a systematic literature review (SLR) approach by analyzing peer-reviewed empirical studies retrieved from a major academic database. The selected articles were screened and evaluated based on predefined inclusion criteria, and the findings were synthesized to identify patterns and contextual factors associated with workplace loneliness in remote work settings. Results: The findings demonstrate that remote work produces dual effects. On one hand, flexibility and autonomy enhance employees’ perceived control and short-term well-being. On the other hand, prolonged reductions in informal social interactions weaken employees’ sense of belonging and intensify feelings of loneliness. Sectoral differences indicate that knowledge-intensive, creative, and public service sectors are more vulnerable to relational disconnection, whereas effective communication protocols and organizational support mechanisms reduce the risk of social isolation. Furthermore, individual, occupational, and institutional factors collectively shape these outcomes. Conclusion: This study concludes that workplace loneliness in remote work environments is a multidimensional phenomenon influenced by the interaction of personal, job-related, and organizational factors. By integrating fragmented evidence across sectors into a comprehensive analytical framework, the study highlights the importance of relational resources and provides practical implications for designing socially sustainable and psychologically supportive remote work arrangements.
