Abstract

This research aims to study how educational supervision can help improve the quality of learning in elementary schools. This supervision is carried out to support the development of teacher abilities and ensure quality education. This research used a qualitative approach at SDN Palumbosari I, involving the school principal and teachers as data sources. Research procedures include observations of the school principal's work culture and interviews regarding teacher performance. The research results show that supervision, both administrative and academic, has a major influence on the management, planning and evaluation of learning carried out by teachers. Supervision also helps develop teacher professionalism through training and useful feedback. However, there are several challenges in implementing supervision, such as limited teacher knowledge, lack of creativity, and limited supervision time. Therefore, it is very important to build a more effective supervision system, which involves collaboration between school principals, teachers and supervisors, in order to improve the quality of education in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate educational supervision in improving teacher professionalism. Learning is a deliberate and organized effort that aims to achieve certain goals. The aim of education is to improve the quality of human potential. Increasing human resources includes improving education through the learning process in schools. To improve the quality of educational materials, it is essential to nurture and develop teachers, who play an important role in the human resources sector. The supervision process involves the guidance and assistance of educators and other staff members in carrying out their duties effectively, which is planned and implemented by the supervisor. Providing supervision is a useful way to overcome challenges faced during the learning process. Supervision in education is when supervisors help teachers combine professional skills and knowledge through speaking, demonstrating, and guiding to achieve educational goals. The research method chosen involves a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collected consists of observations, interviews and documentation. Research was conducted at SMAN 6 Karawang to determine the impact of educational supervision on increasing teacher professionalism at the school

Abstract

The achievement of educational goals depends on the quality of educational institutions. In the school context, educational quality is related to the effectiveness of educational services provided in accordance with the intended objectives. Educational quality encompasses two main aspects: process and outcome. School management plays a crucial role in achieving the desired quality, making it essential for school principals, teachers, education staff, and the community to share a common understanding of education and its implementation. This study aims to analyze various aspects of educational quality at State Elementary School 2 Karawang Kulon. Using a qualitative approach, the research examines educational services through interviews, observations, and documentation. The study focuses on the efforts of school principals to improve educational services, teachers' strategies to enhance teaching competencies, and the evaluation of education staff performance. Additionally, this research assesses students' satisfaction with the available facilities and services. The findings are expected to provide insights into strategies for improving the quality of primary education and offer recommendations for stakeholders in enhancing educational services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the principal in improving teacher performance at MI Al-Ijtihadiyyah, particularly through aspects of leadership, motivation, and evaluation. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design, focusing on an in-depth understanding of social phenomena within the school environment. Data collection procedures included in-depth interviews with the principal and teachers, observations of teaching and managerial activities, and document analysis. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. To ensure the validity of the findings, data credibility checks were conducted through source and technique triangulation, prolonged engagement in the field, and member checking with informants. The findings reveal that the principal plays a strategic role in creating a conducive working environment, providing motivation, and enhancing teacher competence through training, supervision, and performance evaluation. The principal’s role as a leader, supervisor, motivator, and facilitator has been proven to improve teacher motivation, strengthen collaboration, and foster the achievement of quality learning. Thus, school leadership significantly contributes to enhancing teacher professionalism and the overall quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the optimization of a web-based information system as a tool to enhance budget transparency for donor funding (crowdfunding) at SMK Bakti Karya Parigi. The main focus is to evaluate the effectiveness of the current system and provide recommendations for improving its functionality. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method. Data were collected through interviews with key informants, including financial managers and system developers, direct observations of the web-based information system, and analysis of relevant documents. The data were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman & Saldana (2014) model, which includes data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings indicate that the current website information system has supported budget transparency; however, several weaknesses remain, such as limited real-time data updates, a less user-friendly interface, and inadequate outreach to donors. Recommendations include improving automated financial reporting features, redesigning the user interface, and strengthening training programs for system users. The implication is that optimizing the website information system can increase donor trust in fund management at SMK Bakti Karya Parigi. Furthermore, it contributes to more accountable and sustainable educational practices.

Abstract

This study aims to examine human resource management (HRM) practices in the Sumurugul Village Library, a community-based library initiated by local efforts. Village libraries play a strategic role in enhancing literacy, providing informal learning spaces, and strengthening social interaction at the community level. However, their management often faces challenges such as limited personnel, low technical competence, and insufficient continuous training support. This research adopts a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, direct observation, and document analysis, then analyzed using data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The study focused on five key managers actively involved in the library’s operations and literacy programs. The findings indicate that the library’s management structure is simple and voluntary in nature. Limitations in human resources are addressed by involving volunteers, interns, and literacy communities. Capacity development is carried out through needs-based training, webinars, and benchmarking visits. Furthermore, routine literacy programs and community participation reflect employee engagement and collaborative leadership. External support from the village government and institutional networks, although still temporary, contributes to strengthening the capacity of library managers. In conclusion, the success of HRM in the Sumurugul Village Library relies on local initiatives, intrinsic motivation, and the ability to build partnerships. These strategies enable the library to survive and function as an adaptive and sustainable literacy center despite resource constraints.

Abstract

This study explores teachers’ digital competence in improving performance at SMP Negeri 3 Palopo. The objective of this research is to examine teachers’ digital competence and work performance, as well as the opportunities and challenges in enhancing such competence. The study employs a qualitative approach using descriptive phenomenology. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation study. The research subjects are the school principal, teachers, and students. Data were analyzed through an interactive model comprising data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that teachers’ digital competence is considered fairly good, as many teachers have begun to integrate digital systems into the learning process; Teacher performance has improved due to continuous efforts in developing digital skills through training programs and internal collaboration; and The main challenge is the limited digital skills among some teachers. Nevertheless, the use of digital systems presents great opportunities to create a more conducive working environment and enable teachers to apply various innovative teaching methods. The study concludes that teachers’ digital competence plays a significant role in enhancing work performance in school settings.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the implementation of Law Number 18 of 2019 concerning Pesantren on the management of Pesantren Al-Barokah Tegalrejo Yogyakarta. The Pesantren Law provides recognition, affirmation, and facilitation of the strategic role of pesantren in education, da'wah, and community empowerment. Pondok Pesantren Al-Barokah, as a traditional-based pesantren, faces challenges in harmonizing the management system based on traditional values with the formal provisions stipulated in the law. This research uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interview method as the main technique of data collection. The qualitative approach was chosen to deeply understand the views, experiences, and interpretations of the informants related to the topic under study. The informants used were caregivers, dormitory administrators, madrasah diniyah administrators and TU staff. Overall, Law No. 18 of 2019 has a positive impact on the management of pesantren, especially in improving the digitalization of education quality and the recognition of pesantren as part of the national education system. The conclusion of this study confirms the importance of collaboration between the government, pesantren managers, and the community in maximizing the implementation of the law for the sustainability and independence of pesantren. Keywords: Pesantren, Law No. 18/2019, Education, Community Empowerment, Policy Implementation Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi Undang-Undang Nomor 18 Tahun 2019 tentang Pesantren terhadap pengelolaan Pondok Pesantren Al-Barokah Tegalrejo Yogyakarta. Undang-Undang Pesantren memberikan rekognisi, afirmasi, dan fasilitasi terhadap peran strategis pesantren dalam pendidikan, dakwah, dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Pondok Pesantren Al-Barokah, sebagai pesantren berbasis tradisional, menghadapi tantangan dalam menyelaraskan sistem pengelolaan yang berlandaskan pada nilai-nilai tradisional dengan ketentuan formal yang diatur dalam undang-undang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara mendalam sebagai teknik utama pengumpulan data. Pendekatan kualitatif dipilih untuk memahami secara mendalam pandangan, pengalaman, dan interpretasi narasumber terkait topik yang diteliti. Informan yang gunakan adalah pengasuh, pengurus asrama, pengurus madrasah diniyah dan staff TU. Secara keseluruhan, Undang-Undang Nomor 18 Tahun 2019 membawa dampak positif terhadap pengelolaan pesantren, terutama dalam meningkatkan Digitalisasi kualitas pendidikan dan pengakuan pesantren sebagai bagian dari sistem pendidikan nasional. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya kolaborasi antara pemerintah, pengelola pesantren, dan masyarakat dalam memaksimalkan implementasi undang-undang demi keberlanjutan dan kemandirian pesantren.
