Abstract

The development of the digital economy has encouraged the emergence of the gig economy as a new form of work relationships in urban areas. Platform-based jobs offer additional time flexibility and earning opportunities, but on the other hand they also present uncertainty and pressures that affect the social lives of their workers. This study aims to analyze the impact of the gig economy on family structure and social relations in urban environments, focusing on the Indonesian context. Using an exploratory qualitative approach, data was collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observations of gig workers from various platforms, as well as their family members. The results show that gig work leads to a shift in domestic roles, a decrease in the quality of family interactions, and role conflicts due to unclear work boundaries. Additionally, gig workers tend to experience decreased participation in community activities, leading to social isolation and reduced social cohesion in the residential environment. This study confirms that the impact of the gig economy is not only economic, but also social and structural, so there is a need for policy interventions that support social protection and work-life balance for urban gig workers.

Abstract

In the era of globalization and economic liberalization, cross-border investment has become the main strategy for developing countries to increase their economic growth and global competitiveness. This research aims to explore and compare RoR and RoI in Indonesia and India and identify key factors that influence the differences in RoR and RoI between the two countries. This research method uses literature study and conceptual analysis to collect and analyze data from various sources. The research results show that the comparison of RoR and RoI between Indonesia and India involves various factors such as macroeconomic conditions, infrastructure, political stability, investment regulations, labor market, market, and industry, as well as innovation and technology. The two countries show significant differences and similarities in these factors, which influence investment returns. Indonesia has relatively good political stability and a developed capital market, while India stands out in the technology sector and economic reform. However, challenges such as complex regulations, inadequate infrastructure, and fluctuations in currency exchange rates remain obstacles to achieving optimal ROI for investors.

Abstract

Along with the influence of smartphones in terms of information and communication in every daily activity for both students and teachers, this causes the concentration and learning time of students to decrease. Based on the needs analysis interview results, information was obtained that students liked the material presented in the form of an Android application. This study aims to determine the feasibility of developing an Android-based learning media assisted by Appypie for the Pythagorean theorem material and student responses. The research method for developing Android-based learning media uses the R&D (Research and Development) development method. The development model used in this study refers to the 4-D development model from Thiagarajan, which consists of (1) Define, (2) Design, (3) Develop, and Disseminate. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews and questionnaires. Research instrument validation sheet of experts and students. The results of the research on the development of Android-based learning media assisted by Appypie are "very feasible" for media experts, with an average percentage of 80.77% and an average percentage of material experts of 94.44%. Student responses obtained an average percentage of 77.40% for small-scale trials and 76.80% for large-scale trials with the criteria of "very feasible"

Abstract

This research discusses administrative challenges and market strategies in implementing a carbon tax in Indonesia. The carbon tax was introduced through the 2021 Harmonization of Tax Regulations Law to control CO2 emissions from fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas. Key challenges include administrative complexity, strong inter-agency coordination, effective monitoring systems, and consistent law enforcement. The global carbon market in 2023 shows great potential for economically efficient emissions reductions, but implementing this model requires adapting to Indonesia's socio-economic landscape. The research method used is a qualitative approach with case studies, combining data from policy documents, interviews with tax experts, and local carbon market analysis. The research results show that the implementation of a carbon tax is faced with several major challenges, including a lack of accurate data on emissions, an immature monitoring system, and resistance from certain industrial sectors. Effective market management strategies, such as the allocation of tax revenues to sustainable projects, are key to mitigating negative economic impacts and encouraging investment in green technologies. This research makes a significant contribution to the understanding of the complexity of carbon tax implementation in developing countries and its relevance in the global context for achieving climate change goals.

Abstract

The research aimed to analyze the effect of using kale, kailan and mustard green vegetable extracts in making bakpao on physical and sensory quality. This research was conducted at the Bread and Patisserie Processing Laboratory, Culinary Education Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Jakarta State University. The method used in this research is an experimental method which begins with a physical test by measuring the volume of the bakpao and the height of the bakpao, which is followed by a sensory test on 45 trained panelists, namely students of the Culinary Education Study Program who have passed the advanced bread processing course. The results of the research show that the results of hypothesis testing using the Kruskal Wallis test with a significance level of ? (0.05) show that there is no effect of using extracts of kale, kailan vegetables and green mustard greens in making bakpao on sensory quality in all aspects. The results of physical measurements of volume and height with the greatest values ??were obtained by kailan vegetable extract with a volume of 103.33 cm3 and an average height of 3.97 cm. The conclusion of the results of this research is based on the results of physical tests that the bakpao using kailan vegetables have advantages in terms of volume and height, so they are the recommended formula.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of auditor capabilities on the quality of internal audits at the Cilegon City Inspectorate, as well as analyze the role  of Procedural Justice as a moderation variable in this relationship. The stagnation of local government performance assessment through LPPD and SAKIP instruments shows the importance of improving the quality of internal audit as the basis for government performance assessment. The quantitative method was used by involving 162 auditor respondents using a questionnaire, the data was analyzed with Smart PLS. The results showed that auditor capabilities had a positive and significant effect on the quality of internal audits (T-statistics = 4.039; p = 0.000) and Procedural Justice did not show a significant moderation effect (T-statistics = 1.285; p = 0.199). This research strengthens the theory of auditor competence which offers important implications for improving the quality of internal audits in government institutions. Findings related to Procedural Justice provide an opportunity for further research on the role of procedural justice in bureaucratic organizations.
