Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate ethical values ​​that are important in building effective interactions between counselors and counselees in a counseling context. The research method used is literature study, by collecting data from various relevant literature. The data collection process involves reading, studying, examining and carefully examining hadith texts and related literature. Data analysis was carried out by organizing data into groups based on emerging themes, referring to the Lexy approach and content analysis. The research results show that ethics in counseling is a moral foundation that guides the behavior and interactions of counselors with their clients. The principles of counseling ethics, such as respecting human dignity and human rights, maintaining the confidentiality of client information, and promoting social justice, are essential to the practice of counseling. Counselors are expected to understand, internalize, and implement these ethical values ​​in order to help clients effectively and ensure that counseling takes place in a safe and trustworthy atmosphere. In addition, ethical values ​​that are important for a counselor in building a meaningful and effective relationship with clients include autonomy, not violating a code of ethics, fairness, and loyalty. Personal values ​​such as having faith and devotion to God Almighty, respecting human values ​​and individuality, and showing integrity and stability of personality also help strengthen the counselor-counselee relationship. By understanding, internalizing, and implementing these ethical and personal values, a counselor can build meaningful and effective relationships with his counselees, and carry out his duties and functions well at school. It is hoped that this research will provide an in-depth understanding of the ethical values ​​that are important in counseling practice. Abstract

Abstract This research aims to investigate the role of technology and digital communication in building commitment to employee activities in Tegal Sari Mandala III Medan Village in the digital era through effective organizational communication design. Employee activity commitment is a key factor that influences organizational performance and success. However, the digital era brings new challenges in building employee commitment through changes in communication and interaction patterns in the work environment. Using a mixed quantitative and qualitative approach, this research combines surveys, in-depth interviews, and participant observation to collect data. The research results show that the effective use of digital communication technology, such as email, instant messaging applications, and online collaboration platforms, has a significant positive relationship with the level of employee activity commitment. The more effective the use of digital communication technology, the higher the level of affective, sustainable and normative commitment that employees have. This research also identified challenges in implementing digital communication technology and effective communication design, such as varying levels of digital literacy among employees. To overcome these challenges, organizations need to provide training and mentoring to employees, as well as adopt an integrated communication approach. In general, this research confirms that efficient organizational communication design, supported by the appropriate use of digital communication technology, can be a key factor in strengthening employee engagement in the digital era. Organizations that are able to optimize the potential of technology and digital communications well will have a competitive advantage in building a team of human resources that is qualified and has a high level of commitment.

Abstract

Abstract The Golden Generation is a generation that has high intelligence, character and competitiveness. One important factor in forming the Golden Generation is to provide children with emotional and spiritual intelligence. This emotional and spiritual intelligence will help children develop themselves as a whole and be able to face various challenges in life. Parental communication has an important role in child development, including the development of emotional and spiritual intelligence. An effective parental communication model can help children in several ways, including: 1. Developing self-confidence 2. Learning to manage emotions 3. Building positive relationships with other people 4. Developing moral and spiritual values. This research uses qualitative method with a case study approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with parents and children in Medan. The research results show that there are several models of parental communication that are effective in building children's emotional and spiritual intelligence in Medan. Some of these models include: 1. Open and honest communication 2. Communication that is full of love and attention 3. Communication that provides support and encouragement 4. Communication that is based on moral and spiritual values ​​Effective parental communication models have a role important in forming the emotional and spiritual intelligence of children in Medan. By giving children emotional and spiritual intelligence, we can help them develop themselves holistically and be able to face various challenges in life. This will ultimately contribute to the formation of a Golden Generation in Medan.

Abstract

Oversharing was initially used to explain the condition where someone excessively discloses more private information about themselves to the general public, both online and offline. Oversharing on social media by adolescents is a significant problem in the digital age. However, Gen Z is closer to this phenomenon because their lives must be connected to the existence of social media as a platform to introduce themselves to the public. Therefore, Gen Z must manage the boundaries between private and public information. This qualitative study uses a descriptive approach, using Sandra Petronio's Communication Privacy Management Theory. The research informants were Gen Z, aged 18-24, who live in Sidoarjo and Surabaya. This study found that Gen Z's oversharing behavior in Instagram Stories can be associated with uploading repetitive or repetitive content. Oversharing activities on Instagram Stories also create conditions where Gen Z is more willing to share the luxury and wealth they possess. Oversharing can also be part of personal branding and labeling for Gen Z. Oversharing not only impacts the person sharing it, but this activity can also have consequences for the audience, such as embarrassment, disturbance, and disappointment. This research shows how Gen Z could overshare on Instagram Stories and how they manage their personal life according to CPM theory.

Abstract

2024 is a crucial year for Indonesia as it marks the presidential and vice-presidential transition. The General Elections Commission (KPU) has nominated three candidate pairs, one of which is Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka (candidate pair 02), who proposed a free lunch program. This program has sparked considerable debate in various media, prompting this study to analyze the framing of news coverage about the free lunch program by candidate pair 02 (Prabowo-Gibran) on the online news portals Kompas.com and Mediaindonesia.com during the period of November 28, 2024, to February 10, 2024. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method to describe or explain the underlying meanings of reality. Data analysis is conducted using Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki's framing analysis model, which includes syntactic, script, thematic, and rhetorical structures. The findings indicate that Kompas.com’s coverage is supportive of the free lunch program. On the other hand, the coverage on Mediaindonesia.com is firmly against the free lunch program

Abstract

This research aims to form a model of character education that cares about the environment in religious-based forest conservation which has characteristics in accordance with the realities of life and culture of the indigenous people of Kampung Dukuh, Ciroyom Village, Cikelet District, Garut Regency in particular and rural communities in general. The method used is a qualitative approach, namely research that does not carry out calculations (numbers) in carrying out epistemological justification. As a result, the indigenous people of Kampung Dukuh live their social life based on religious and cultural values ​​that refer to the sayings of their ancestors.

Abstract

Communication in the family is important to create good relationships between family members. Lack of communication and parental attention can affect the learning motivation of 4th and 6th semester students of the Islamic Communication and Broadcasting study program, Ibn Khaldun University, Bogor. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire distributed to 67 student respondent. The data analysis technique uses a simple linear regression test and the (t) test. The results of study showed that communication in the family has an influence of 59,4% on the learning motivation of 4th  and 6th semester students of the Islamic Communication and broadcasting study program, Ibn Khaldun University, Bogor. In addition, see from the Beta Standard Coefficient value of 0,771, it means that communication in the family has a positive influence on student learning motivation.

Abstract

The digital era has an impact on changing new work patterns in journalism, "Churnalism" is a new journalism that occurs as a consequence of the development of digital technology in the modern era. Churnalism is the simplicity of the way to obtain journalistic news content caused by technological advances. Churnalism threatens the quality of news in the digital era. JPNN.com is a news media that was established in 2008, experiencing a transition from the print media era to digital media. This research focuses on finding out and understanding JPNN.com media strategies in balancing Churnalism and journalism. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive analysis approach, aiming to understand the process of Churnalism practice JPNN.com and understand their strategies in an effort to balance Churnalism and journalism. The results of this study show that JPNN.com has its own strategy in balancing Churnalism and journalism, namely a combination strategy, combining the practice of Churnalism with conventional journalism practices. The implementation of the combination strategy is carried out in six stages, including: First, journalists select potential news materials from online sources. Second, journalists research news materials to ensure the validity of the news. Third, journalists confirm with the source. Fourth, journalists combine Churnalism and conventional journalism in the reporting process. Fifth, the editor maintains the Gatekeeper function through news selection. Sixth, the editorial management conducts news every day.

Abstract

The phenomenon of rising rice prices often occurs due to several influencing factors, one of which comes from the climate and the existence of a bumper harvest. In addition, higher market demand than production is also one of the causes. Surabaya as a city that is predicated as a consumer rather than a producer of rice is very careful in maintaining the existing rice supply. Public panic over the increase in rice prices has led the government to issue programs as a strategy to overcome it, one of which is consistently implemented to date is the Cheap Market Movement. The purpose of this research is to describe the government's strategy in overcoming the price of rice based on the five indicators of Geoff Mulgan's theory. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods by taking results from interviews as primary data and secondary data obtained from literature reviews such as articles, journals, and relevant references. The results of this study reveal that the Cheap Market Movement program and the existence of SPHP rice can help people's lives and achieve the success rate of strategies issued by the Surabaya city government, especially by the Food Security and Agriculture Office.

Social rehabilitation of uninhabitable houses aims to restore social function and improve the quality of housing for the poor through improving the condition of the house and/or environmental infrastructure, either in whole or in part, by applying the spirit of mutual cooperation, togetherness and social values. the value of social solidarity in society. This research examines the implementation of the Social Rehabilitation Program for Uninhabitable Houses (RS-Rutilahu) in Rungkut Kidul Village, Surabaya City, with a focus on improving the quality of housing for low-income communities through collaboration between the government and the community. The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of the RS-Rutilahu program in improving the quality of housing for low-income communities in Rungkut Kidul Village. Based on David C. Korten's program implementation theory, this research examines three main aspects: the program itself, the implementing organization, and the beneficiaries. The research results show that this program has succeeded in achieving the house improvement target, but there are still obstacles related to community participation and strict administrative requirements. It is hoped that these findings can become a reference for increasing program effectiveness in the future.
