Abstract

This research discusses a comparison of the concept of democracy in Islam, especially the principle of shura, according to Quraish Shihab and Ibnu Katsir. The two mufassir have different views regarding shura as a democratic principle. Quraish Shihab views shura (deliberation) as a principle that is in line with modern democratic values, such as freedom, equality and justice, using a contextual approach to apply deliberation in the socio-political life of Muslims. On the other hand, Ibn Kathir emphasized the importance of shura, but still based on God's law. He does not link shura directly to modern democracy, but instead views shura as worship and good deeds. This research uses thematic and comparative exegetical methods to examine various verses of the Koran related to deliberation. with the results showing that although the two mufassir have different points of view, they agree that deliberation is an important basic principle in social and state life in Islam. It is hoped that the results of this research will enrich the study of the relationship between shura and democracy and provide an understanding of the relevance of deliberation in contemporary societal life.

Abstract

The increasingly complex environmental damage demands preventive efforts through environmental education from an early age. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Sekolah Sungai Program in increasing environmental awareness and conservation behavior in elementary school students. The research method uses a qualitative approach derived from the literature of scientific articles with related research, as well as question and answer sessions given to students regarding environmental issues and Sekolah Sungai. The results showed that the Sekolah Sungai program has succeeded in increasing public awareness, especially the younger generation, of the importance of preserving river ecosystems. Through various educational and training activities, this program not only changes people's behavior to be more environmentally aware, but also builds a strong network of cooperation between various parties. Overall, the Sekolah Sungai Program has great potential to be a solution to environmental problems, especially related to river sustainability, as well as providing wider benefits for the community and the environment, and has proven effective in increasing students' understanding of river ecosystems, the impact of environmental damage, and encouraging active participation in environmental conservation efforts

Abstract

In this fast-paced modern era, the social and emotional development of teenagers is a big challenge, especially with the negative influence of technology and the social environment. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in schools can play an important role in shaping students' social and emotional character. This research aims to examine the role of PAI in developing social empathy and emotional stability in adolescents at SMPIT Buah Hati. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis to describe changes that occur before and after implementing the PAI program. The research results showed that the implementation of the PAI program was successful in increasing students' abilities in listening to friends' feelings, showing social concern, managing emotions, and resolving conflicts. Significantly, students also participate more actively in social activities. The implications of this research show that religious education based on the values of social empathy can form a character that is more stable and caring towards others. However, external challenges such as the influence of social media need to be taken into account, so support from family and community is very necessary to optimize student character development. This research contributes to strengthening understanding of the importance of religious education in forming the social and emotional character of adolescents at school.

Abstract

The increasingly dynamic development of education raises various challenges, one of which is the problem of bullying in schools. Character education is a solution that is considered effective for overcoming this problem, especially if it is integrated into the Independent Curriculum. This research aims to analyze the effect of integrating character education in the Merdeka Curriculum on reducing bullying cases at SDIT Kasih Ibu. This research uses a quantitative design with a quasi-experimental approach, where data is collected through observation, interviews and surveys with students and teachers. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive and inferential statistics to measure changes that occur before and after implementing the character education program. The research results show that the integration of character education has succeeded in reducing the number of bullying in the school from 20% to 5%, especially physical and verbal bullying. The implication of this research is the importance of implementing character education systematically in the school curriculum to create a safer learning environment and support students' social-emotional development. Apart from that, increasing teacher capacity in implementing character education needs attention so that the success of this program can be maintained. This research contributes to the development of educational policies that are more holistic and have a positive impact on the school environment.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how reinventing government in tourism development as an increase in local revenue. Reinventing Government is a government effort to change the type of services to be provided to the public with implementing a new system by transforming the public sector into entrepreneurship. The methode used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques through interview, observation, and documentation. The focus of this research is how the tourism development effort of the Bojonegoro Regency Culture and Tourism office in the concept of reinventing government. The results of this study indicate that the Bojonegoro Regency Culture and Tourism office has implemented 9 of the 10 principles of reinventing government. The principle that has not been implemented is the principle of anticipatory government which is caused by involving many parties so that it requires a long procces. Even though it has implemented 9 of the 10 principles of reinventing government, it does not guarantee that the Disbudpar bojonegoro is able to achieve PAD target beacause there is still a lack of maximum implementation of each principle that has been implemented by the Regency Culture and Tourism office so that it has not been able to achive the predetermined local revenue target.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country rich in tradition, one of the traditions that runs in the midst of Indonesian society is the tradition of Ketumpangan in celebration. This tradition is commonly known as Buwuh. The tradition of Ketumpangan is a tradition of returning favours to ṣāḥib al-ḥājah, in return for the assistance received, whether in the form of goods or money. This tradition that runs in the community sometimes causes conflict, this is inseparable from differences in people's views about the tradition, shifting the meaning of this tradition and the absence of a contract. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the practice of the Ketumpangan tradition in the celebration that runs in Lumbangrejo Village, Prigen Subdistrict, Pasuruan Regency, where later the practice of this tradition is reviewed from the perspective of Fiqh Muammalah. This type of research is qualitative research in the form of a case study with a phenomenological approach conducted in Lumbangrejo Village, Prigen District, Pasuruan Regency. Primary data sources were obtained from unstructured interviews with Ketumpangan actors, religious leaders, and cultural experts to obtain information about the practice procedures of the Ketumpangan tradition. Secondary data were obtained from scientific literature related to this research, and various literature references related to the Ketumpangan tradition. The results showed that, First, the Ketumpangan tradition in celebrations that took place in Lumbangrejo Village was based on a sense of harmony between communities, this tradition had a gradual flow starting from planning the event and giving the object of ketumpangan in stages. Second, the Ketumpangan tradition in the celebration that takes place in Lumbangrejo Village is in accordance with the grant contract in fiqh muammalah, both in terms of the pillars or conditions. Abstract

The problem of unemployment in Sidoarjo Regency is currently a concern because of the high Open Unemployment Rate that occurs. The Sidoarjo Regency Manpower Office in reducing the high number of unemployed by holding competency-based training. The purpose of this training program is to improve the competence and competitiveness of the workforce and reduce the number of unemployed. This article aims to measure the effectiveness of the competency based training program for workers in Sidoarjo Regency. The research method uses a quantitative approach with data collection techniques using data collection tools in the form of questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results of the study indicate that the effectiveness of the implementation of the competencybased training program for workers in Sidoarjo Regency is in the fairly effective category on the indicator of increasing the competence and competitiveness of the workforce and on the indicator of reducing the number of unemployed, the majority are in a condition that starts from not working before participating in the training program to still not working after participating in competency based training.

Abstract

The use of technology in education is one of the main pillars of transformational education, because technology has great potential to facilitate this transformation. The importance of technology used by Islamic boarding schools is the main thing needed by students to carry out educational transformation. By adopting a transformational education approach that is strengthened by technology, Islamic boarding schools can prepare their students to become future leaders who are adaptive, innovative, and competitive in an increasingly connected and technology-driven world. The purpose of this study is to analyze the opportunities and challenges of technological transformationat the Al-Bashiirah Al-Qur'an Memorization Boarding School.This research was conducted at the Al-Bashiirah Al Qur'an Tahfiizh Boarding School in New City. The techniques used in data collection were structured interviews, non-participant observation and documentation. The results of the study showed that: 1) The technology design used Google spreadsheets, data input was carried out together by involving the finance department, homeroom teachers and tahfidz teachers and the selection of technology applications considered aspects of affordable costs for their use, 2) The digital development dimension, namely by using the information system for the achievement of students' hifdzul Qur'an and students' financial balance data, 3) Digital competence at the Al-Qur'an Al-Bashiirah Tahfidz Boarding School hasfulfill basic skills in the use of information and communication technology, and 4) The benefits of digital transformation at the Al-Bashiirah Al-Qur'an Tahfidz Boarding School have a significant impact on the development of the institution.

Abstract

Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) disclosure in local governments is needed to increase the disclosure of non-financial information to the public and stakeholders. The aim of this research is to analyze the development of research regarding ESG disclosure in local governments. The research method used is bibliometric analysis which maps deep research database Google Scholar from 2019-2023. After going through the filtering process, 57 articles were obtained which were processed using the application Publish or Perish and VOSviewer. The research results show that there are 6 clusters that explain the aspects and factors that are interrelated in the formation of ESG disclosures in local governments. The research results also show that ESG disclosure in local governments is still a hot topic for research. It is hoped that this research can contribute to future researchers and add information related to ESG disclosure to local governments.

Abstract

Writing scientific articles is a crucial component in developing knowledge and technology. In the digital era, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as an essential tool that can assist students in composing high-quality scientific articles. This research aims to evaluate the extent to which students use AI technology in scientific article writing and to analyze its impact on the quality of the resulting articles. Through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, this study examines current literature to understand AI usage's benefits, challenges, and influence in scientific writing. The findings reveal that AI can enhance the quality of student articles by providing more accurate data analysis, improving writing structure, and ensuring originality. However, limited knowledge of AI and inadequate writing skills remain significant barriers. This research also provides recommendations for improving the integration of AI into the scientific writing curriculum to maximize its potential in supporting higher education.
