Abstract

Improving the quality of education in Indonesia requires schools to continue to optimize the whole potential of the learning environment as an effort to support student motivation and learning outcomes. The conducive learning environment has proven to be one of the important factors that influences intellectual development, creativity, and student motivation. This study aims to describe the management of the learning environment and its relationship with students’ learning motivation at MA Al-Khoziny. Employing a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods, data were collected through participatory observation and structured interviews with teachers and students during the even semester of the 2024–2025 academic year. The results show that a conducive learning environment—physically, socially, and psychologically—plays a crucial role in enhancing students’ learning motivation. Classroom management, the availability of facilities, and positive interactions between teachers and students have a significant positive impact on learning quality. These findings emphasize that optimizing the learning environment in madrasahs should be a priority to support the improvement of student motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Development planning is a strategic process involving various stakeholders in formulating steps to improve community welfare. One crucial element in this process is community participation, which not only reflects democratic rights but also plays a vital role in the success of development programs. This study highlights the low level of community participation in the Development Planning Forum (Musrenbang) in Pasuruan Regency, East Java. The low participation is influenced by several factors, including low educational attainment, work priorities, and a lack of understanding of the importance of involvement in development. Using the Human Centered Design (HCD) approach, this study proposes the application of five HCD stages—Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test—as a model to enhance and sustain community participation in the local development planning process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between father’s involvement in parenting and prosocial behavior of Gen-Z in Indonesia. Prosocial behavior as an act of helping others without expecting direct benefits is an important aspect in the social dynamics of this generation. This study employed a quantitative correlational method with a sample of 100 Gen-Z people in Indonesia. Data collection was carried out using a measurement instrument for father’s involvement and prosocial behavior. The results of statistical analysis using the Spearman correlation test showed a significant positive relationship between father involvement in parenting and prosocial behavior in Gen-Z with a correlation coefficient value (r) of 0.428 (p = 0.000). This study provides practical implications on the importance of increasing awareness of the role of fathers in parenting as active figures in the development of children's character and social behavior, as well as the importance of developing family education programs that support father involvement in parenting.

Abstract

The Quran Translation Learning Program (PPTQ) at MA Shirothul Fuqoha' was studied through the perspective of Pavlov's theory which emphasizes stimulus-response association and positive reinforcement and has been proven to significantly improve students' mastery of vocabulary. This qualitative case study research used observation, interviews, documentation, and Miles and Huberman data analysis to describe the planning, implementation, evaluation, and constraints of the program. In planning, the initial steps include analyzing student abilities, class classification, compiling an independent syllabus, and teacher training. The implementation of PPTQ consists of four repetitive stages: (1) the teacher reads the words and meanings, students imitate; (2) the teacher reads the words, students state the meaning; (3) the teacher shows the words, students explain the meaning; and (4) the teacher appoints random students to read the words and meanings. Each addition of vocabulary must go through this cycle, then ends with a closing statement containing the interpretation of the verse. In addition, the morning habituation program, namely reciting the Quran together and giving meaning to each word, is carried out routinely in the school yard. Learning evaluation is divided into formative (written and oral tests at each meeting) and summative (end of semester oral tests witnessed by parents). Teachers' obstacles come from internal factors (teacher competence, double jobs, limited time), students (low enthusiasm, limited ability to read the Qur'an), and institutions (double workload). Some obstacles have been overcome, but some are still in the process of being improved. All graduates of this program are able to translate verses of the Qur'an; some even memorize and interpret them well.

This study aims to describe the role of the school environment in fostering awareness of the Javanese Krama language in students of Sitanggal 02 Elementary School and identify supporting and inhibiting factors. The results of the study show that Sitanggal 02 Elementary School implements a Javanese Krama language strengthening program through three main components, namely daily habituation programs, integration in learning, and special regional language programs. The implementation of the Javanese Krama language program in the school environment has succeeded in fostering a character of respecting elders, improving the ability to communicate with polite language, strengthening local cultural identity, and fostering a sense of pride in regional languages. Abstract

The development of digital technology has had a significant impact on various aspects of life, including in the field of Islamic preaching. The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based applications such as preaching chatbots, Islamic voice assistants, and religious content automation platforms has become a rapidly growing phenomenon in the digital era. This article aims to analyze the use of AI technology as a medium for preaching from the perspective of Islamic law with the Maqâshid Syarî'ah approach. This study uses a qualitative method with a normative-theological approach, through a literature study of relevant classical and contemporary literature. The results of the study show that the use of AI in preaching can be categorized as a wasîlah (means) whose law follows the purpose of its use. If AI is used to support the spread of Islamic values that bring benefits, maintain religion (hifz al-dîn), and provide ease in accessing Islamic knowledge, then this is in accordance with the main objectives of Maqâshid Syarî'ah. However, the potential for information distortion, lack of authenticity of scientific chains, and minimal control over content produced by AI are challenges that need to be watched out for. Therefore, regulation and supervision of scholars and religious institutions are needed to ensure that AI-based digital da'wah remains within the corridor of sharia and ethics. In conclusion, AI technology can be a legitimate da'wah instrument according to sharia if it is managed with the principle of caution and sharia responsibility.
