EduInovasi: Journal of Basic Educational Studies is a journal published in the Study Program of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah, the  Islamic Institute of Laa Roiba Bogor. This journal is published twice a year in February and Agust. Furthermore, this journal is published in two versions, namely print and online. The focus of this journal contains articles on research on Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education / Primary / MI / SD Teacher Education, such as competency analysis, learning strategies, learning theory, learning development, educator professionalism, and research results. Reviewers will review any submitted paper. The Journal kindly invites scientists, scholars, professionals, and researchers in the form of the contribution with articles to be published and disseminated through: the selection mechanism of the article, criticized by reviewer, and the editing process. Abstract

This study aims to find out the direct method in Arabic language education at Madrasah Alsun Sidoarjo, as well as to identify the inhibiting and supporting factors. With this research it is hoped that it can provide new input to all parties involved in Arabic language education in general and especially at Alsun Sidoarjo Madrasah. This research is a mixed research between qualitative and quantitative. Qualitative research is primary research and quantitative research is complementary research to find data using numbers. Information collection was attempted by observation, documentation, interviews, questionnaires by organizing facts or observations and quantitative data so that conclusions were drawn from these results. The results of this study show that direct procedures in Arabic language education at Madrasa Alsun Sidoarjo have been good. this can be proven by the results of a questionnaire that the author has done, namely 80% of students can master the lessons given. Second, the learning effectiveness of students in Arabic language education through direct procedures has been efficient. This matter can be proven by the test results which after being calculated by the statistical formula Mx=Fx:N, the result is 85.5.

Abstract

This research focuses on analyzing the implementation of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at SMP Muhammadiyah 08 Medan. It aims to examine the extent to which multicultural values ​​are applied in the learning process for students from diverse backgrounds. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research findings demonstrate that PAI teachers are able to integrate multicultural values ​​into learning through interactive strategies linked to the realities of students' daily lives.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of price variation and waiting time on consumers’ purchase decisions within the framework of the zero price effect. The research involved 50 randomly selected housewives, both employed and non-employed. A 2×2 between-subjects factorial experimental design was used, manipulating two independent variables: price (free vs. discounted) and waiting time (present vs. absent). Data were collected through an online shopping simulation, and purchase decisions were measured by click-to-buy or cancellation actions. The data were analyzed using chi-square tests and binary logistic regression. Results showed no significant difference between the free and discounted price conditions, and no significant effect of waiting time on purchase decisions. Additionally, no interaction effect between price variation and waiting time was found. These findings suggest that the effect of time as a non-monetary sacrifice is not always significant, and marketing strategies should be tailored to the specific context of the consumer.

Abstract

Research on Psychological Constructs in the Karapan Sapi Tradition in Madura: Solidarity, Competitiveness, Self-Esteem, Identity, and Courage aims to gain a deeper understanding of the psychological constructs that emerge in the Karapan Sapi tradition in Madura. The method used in this research is the descriptive exploratory qualitative method through literature study, namely the method of collecting data by understanding and studying theories from various literature related to research. This research shows the results that Karapan Sapi becomes a symbol of unity, solidarity, and identity for the Madurese people while creating a competitive drive between cow owners, jockeys, and spectators.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to explain the graduate competencies of Pesantren Sabilul Muttaqin Karanganyar Kraton Pasuruan, to reveal the strategies used in preparing its graduates, and to describe the evaluation process of its graduates. This research employs a qualitative approach, with the researcher acting as an observational participant. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis process consists of data verification, classification, interpretation, and conclusion drawing. The graduate competencies consist of: a). Academic Competence, which includes (1) the results of Imda (mid-term exams) and Imni (final exams), (2) Qur’an reading tests including ghoroib recitation, and (3) the results of Upramer (Teaching Practice Examination). b). Non-Academic Competence, which is assessed through students’ attitudes and behavior during their one-year period of service as assistant administrators at the pesantren, as well as disciplinary records from the Indisciplinary Book. The strategies for preparing graduates include: a). Requiring all Tsanawiyah level students to participate in extracurricular activities beyond the standard madrasah program, b). Conducting socialization sessions by the Department of Tasked Teachers (UGT) for third-year Tsanawiyah students in the month of Dzul Qo’dah through the distribution of questionnaires to determine their voluntary readiness to participate in the Guru Tugas program, c). Implementing intensive training and development programs. The evaluation process is conducted in three areas: a). Academic Evaluation, based on report card grades, Qur’anic reading test results, and Upramer scores, b). Non-Academic Evaluation, coordinated between the UGT administrators and pesantren leadership by assessing the students’ ḥāliyyah (daily conduct and character) during their service period, and reviewing entries in the disciplinary record book, c). On-Site Assignment Evaluation, which is carried out periodically through (1) monthly evaluations using a Google Form filled out by both the Tasked Teacher (GT) and the Tasked Teacher Supervisor (PJGT) as a two-way evaluation instrument, and (2) biannual evaluation meetings with PJGTs held in the months of Rabi' al-Awwal and Sha'ban.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of expressive writing therapy in improving interpersonal communication skills among junior high school students who experience communication anxiety. The method used is a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest model. The sample consists of 10 students selected based on low communication scores from an initial population of 50 students. The intervention was carried out in four sessions, focusing on emotional awareness, self-value, self-reflection, and communication planning. The results showed a significant increase in communication skills based on paired sample t-test results (p < 0.05). This finding supports that expressive writing can serve as an effective intervention to enhance adolescent communication abilities.

Abstract

Learning local wisdom-based dance arts, especially Dolalak Dance, for early childhood has an important role in preserving culture and shaping children's character. However, the limited competence of teachers in the field of dance arts and cultural pedagogy is a major challenge. This article aims to examine strategies for improving teachers' teaching skills in learning Dolalak Dance through the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method for various scientific articles that have been reviewed. The articles used in this study were six national journal articles obtained from the Google Scholar database using the Publish or Perish application. The results of the review of the six articles concluded that local culture-based training, ethnoscience integration, motor-affective approaches, collaboration with art studios, and curriculum innovation are relevant and contextual strategies to improve the teaching skills of PAUD teachers in learning Dolalak Dance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of expressive writing therapy treatment to improve emotional regulation in adolescents. This research method uses pre-experimental with the form of One Group Pretest-Postest design. The subjects of this study were 8 adolescents at SMP X Yogyakarta using purposive sampling techniques. Expressive writing therapy intervention with an implementation time of 40 minutes was carried out 4 days in two weeks. The data analysis method used was nonparametric statistics of the Wiloxon Signed Rank Test technique to test the difference in the emotional regulation score of the subject group during the prestest and possttest. The results of the Wiloxon Signed Rank Test showed that expressive writing therapy was effective in improving emotion regulation with p=0.012

Abstract

The high rate of sexual harassment and violence against children shows the urgency of early childhood sexuality education. Lack of parental understanding of how to convey sexuality information appropriately, coupled with low interest in reading, are the main obstacles in providing effective education. This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of pop-up book media as an educational tool in conveying sexuality education to early childhood. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of the study were 30 parents and teachers at the Sahabat Sekar Mekar Playground, South Tangerang. Data were collected through questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the majority of respondents were aware of the importance of sexuality education and felt that pop-up books were an interesting media and helped them in conveying material to children. Pop-up books are considered effective because of their attractive 3D visualization and simple language, which are able to overcome communication barriers between parents and children. However, the main obstacles faced are economic limitations and lack of knowledge about the use of this educational media. These findings indicate that pop-up book media has great potential in supporting early childhood sexuality education, especially if accompanied by socialization and training for parents. Research recommendations include the development of more affordable and relevant pop-up book content, as well as increasing family literacy through visual and narrative approaches.

Abstract

Cancer and Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) are serious health problems whose early detection is often hampered by limited access and awareness. This research aims to develop a website-based expert system as a solution to help the public perform an initial diagnosis of cancer and GERD independently. The system development methodology includes a requirements analysis phase, data flow design using DFD and ERD, and implementation using Visual Studio Code with programming languages such as Python and JavaScript, along with a MySQL database. The result of this research is a functional web-based expert system equipped with various features, including user registration, a structured diagnostic questionnaire for cancer and GERD, a diagnosis result page complete with recommendations, and a statistics module for data visualization. This system successfully provides an easily accessible platform for initial diagnosis, despite having limitations related to accuracy, which depends on user input. In conclusion, this expert system has the potential to be an effective initial screening tool for increasing awareness and accelerating the management of these two diseases
