EduInovasi: Journal of Basic Educational Studies is a journal published in the Study Program of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah, the  Islamic Institute of Laa Roiba Bogor. This journal is published twice a year in February and Agust. Furthermore, this journal is published in two versions, namely print and online. The focus of this journal contains articles on research on Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education / Primary / MI / SD Teacher Education, such as competency analysis, learning strategies, learning theory, learning development, educator professionalism, and research results. Reviewers will review any submitted paper. The Journal kindly invites scientists, scholars, professionals, and researchers in the form of the contribution with articles to be published and disseminated through: the selection mechanism of the article, criticized by reviewer, and the editing process. Abstract

This study explores the impact of implementing a deeplearning-based approach in cultural arts education, specifically in batik-making lessons at the senior high school level. The problem addressed in this research is the lack of student engagement and interest in conventional teaching methods, which often results in lower comprehension and artwork quality. The aim of this study is to compare the understanding, artwork quality, and enthusiasm between students in the experimental group, who received practice-first instruction followed by theoretical content, and those in the control group, who followed a traditional learning approach. A quantitative method was applied by utilizing pre-test and post-test questionnaires, interviews, and direct observation in the classroom. Knowledge was measured through multiple-choice questions, feelings were gauged via interviews, and student actions were observed during the learning process. Results show a significant improvement in the experimental class, with higher post-test scores and more positive attitudes toward batik-making. In contrast, the control class exhibited lower enthusiasm and engagement, which subsequently affected their final grades. The findings suggest that deeplearning-based methods can provide a more impactful and memorable learning experience, promoting a deeper understanding and appreciation of cultural heritage. Further research is recommended to explore the application of this method in other cultural arts disciplines and assess its long-term effectiveness in developing students' cognitive and creative skills.

Abstract

Understanding the concept of intervals in mathematics is a fundamental aspect that is often a challenge for students. Augmented Reality (AR) with GeoGebra offers an interactive approach that can improve understanding of abstract concepts such as intervals. This research aims to analyze the effect of using Augmented Reality with Geogebra on students in understanding interval material. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with the research subjects being students of the Mathematics Education Study Program, Medan State University. Data was collected through a written test in the form of essay questions. The research results show that Augmented Reality helps students with a visual learning style understand interval material. Students' difficulties in understanding interval material are quite varied. The causes of these errors include a lack of understanding of the concept and a lack of practice questions. It is hoped that this research can contribute to increasing students' understanding of interval material using the help of Argmented Reality with GeoGebra.

Abstract

The intensity of TikTok social media use is the frequency or amount of time spent using TikTok social media. Academic procrastination is the deliberate delay in completing tasks related to academic activities. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between the intensity of TikTok social media usage and academic procrastination among university students. This research employs a descriptive quantitative method. A total of 382 active university students in Indonesia participated in the study. Data were collected through an online survey using Google Forms, measuring the relationship between the intensity of TikTok social media usage and academic procrastination, and were then analyzed using assumption tests, linear tests, and hypothesis testing. The results indicate a significant relationship with academic procrastination among students (r = 0.744, p < 0.05), meaning that the higher the intensity of TikTok social media usage, the higher the level of academic procrastination among students. Although this study was conducted successfully, there are several limitations, such as the need for respondents with more diverse backgrounds and consideration of other influencing factors.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive learning media based on the Padlet platform on the material Norma in My Life in grade V elementary school and describe its level of validity and practicality. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of Analyze, Design, Development, and Implementation. At the development stage, learning media is validated by material experts, media experts, and teacher practitioners. The validation results showed that the developed media had a very high level of validity with a percentage of 95.8% of material experts, 94.2% of media experts, and 100% of teacher practitioners. After revision based on the validator's suggestions, this media is implemented to students through individual, small group, and large group trials. The results of the trial show that this medium is very practical with an average percentage of practicality of 100%. In conclusion, Padlet-based learning media in the Norma in My Life material is very valid and very practical to be used in learning. This media facilitates more interactive, flexible learning, and increases student involvement in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive learning game based on the Bamboozle Platform for the topic of Light, Sound, and Their Properties for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 5 Indralaya. The development process follows the ADDIE model, consisting of five stages: Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Needs analysis revealed that learning media in schools are still dominated by conventional methods, necessitating digital innovations that are more engaging and interactive. During the development phase, the media was validated by media experts, material experts, and classroom practitioners. The validation results indicated that the developed learning media was categorized as "Highly Valid" with an average score of 95% and deemed "Highly Practical" by the classroom teacher with a score of 100%. After revisions based on expert suggestions, the media underwent individual and small-group trials. Student response questionnaires showed that the media was rated as "Highly Engaging" with an average score of 96.24%. The findings of this study suggest that interactive games based on the Bamboozle Platform effectively enhance student engagement and create a more enjoyable learning experience. Therefore, this media is recommended as an alternative for teaching science in elementary schools.

Abstract

Development of interactive learning based on the Canva application for food chain material for grade V of SD Negeri 02 Indralaya Utara. This study aims to develop interactive learning media that can increase students' interest and understanding of food chain material. The method used is the ADDIE development model. This method aims to develop interactive learning media for food chain material to obtain the level of validity and practicality of the developed learning media. The results of the material validity with a percentage of 94.44% which is very valid and the media validity of 89.47% with very valid criteria. The results of the analysis show that learning in grade V tends to be monotonous and less interactive, so interesting and varied media are needed. The learning media developed uses the Canva application, which offers various graphic design features to create interesting and easily accessible content. The trial of this media involved 20 students and showed very positive results, with a percentage of 95% of the student response questionnaire with very practical criteria and 100% of the teacher response questionnaire with a very valid category. The data from the trial results indicate that the interactive learning media based on the Canva application that was developed can be applied in learning at school.

Abstract

The West Java Provincial Agricultural Crop Department faces various challenges in communication and service delivery to farmers, such as a shortage of agricultural extension workers, manual processes for submitting complaints, and inefficient seed request procedures. To address these issues, the M-Petani application was developed, an Android-based solution utilizing web service technology with JSON format for data exchange and integration. This system is designed to deliver agricultural information, facilitate seed requests, and provide a digital platform for submitting complaints. Alpha testing confirmed the application functions in accordance with technical specifications, ensuring secure data validation and storage. Beta testing, conducted with 30 farmers in West Java, demonstrated positive feedback, particularly regarding ease of use, reliability, and user satisfaction. The application enhances communication efficiency, accelerates responses to complaints, and simplifies data management at the Agricultural Crop Department. These results highlight M-Petani as an effective and environmentally friendly digital solution that supports paper reduction and improves service delivery to farmers in West Java.

Abstract

Language is a means of knowledge and competence that is very important to be mastered in forming language skills in reading ability, but in reality at SD Tlekung 02 it has been found that reading comprehension ability is still very low, it can be proven through the results of the cycle test with success reaching 35% of students who have completed it, therefore the purpose of this study is to improve the reading comprehension ability of grade 6 elementary school students at SDN Junrejo 01 Batu City by applying the multiliteracy model through procedural texts. The method used is PTK (Classroom Action Research). This research model is a research model used by Arikunto which was carried out 4 times through techniques consisting of planning, observation, implementation, reflection obtained, namely to show the level of reading comprehension of grade 6 students in procedural texts. The results of the study in cycle I had a score of 67.5. While the score obtained in cycle II was 91. It can be concluded that there has been a significant increase. Therefore it can be concluded that the multiliteracy model can be applied to Indonesian language learning, namely in procedural text material.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how job satisfaction and transformational leadership affect employee performance at Industri Otomotif Kota Makassar, with organizational commitment as an intervening variable. This study involved 40 employees as respondents, who were selected using saturated sampling techniques. Data was collected across three scales to measure transformational leadership, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction. In addition, employee performance is measured using performance assessments that apply at Industri Otomotif Kota Makassar. Data analysis was carried out with the SmartPLS 4.0 2024 program. The results of this study show that job satisfaction has a significant effect on performance as shown with a p-value of 0.002<0.05, transformational leadership has a significant effect on performance with a p-value of 0.036<0.05, organizational commitment has a significant effect on performance with a p-value of 0.041<0.05, job satisfaction has a significant effect on organizational commitment with a value of 0.0410.05, job satisfaction has a significant effect on organizational commitment with a value of 0.0410.05, and job satisfaction has a significant effect on organizational commitment with a p-value of 0.0410.05, and job satisfaction has a significant effect on organizational commitment with a p-value of 0.041<0.05. P-value 0.004<0.05, transformational leadership has a significant effect on organizational commitment with a significant P-value of 0.010<0.05. The role of organizational commitment as a mediator can be seen in job satisfaction which shows a significant influence on employee performance with a p-value of 0.043<0.05. The role of organizational commitment as a mediator can be seen in transformational leadership which shows a significant influence on employee performance with a p-value of 0.044<0.05.

Abstract

This study explored the use of Bahasa Indonesia and Arabic in teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) at Islamic junior high schools in Jambi, Indonesia. The research aimed to understand the dynamics of using these languages in EFL classrooms and to gather teachers' perspectives on this practice. Through semi-structured interviews and classroom observations, the study identified the benefits, challenges, and impacts of incorporating Bahasa Indonesia and Arabic into EFL instruction. The findings suggested that strategic use of these languages can enhance comprehension, classroom management, and cultural relevance, but also presented challenges in balancing language use and meeting institutional and community expectations.
