EduInovasi: Journal of Basic Educational Studies is a journal published in the Study Program of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah, the  Islamic Institute of Laa Roiba Bogor. This journal is published twice a year in February and Agust. Furthermore, this journal is published in two versions, namely print and online. The focus of this journal contains articles on research on Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education / Primary / MI / SD Teacher Education, such as competency analysis, learning strategies, learning theory, learning development, educator professionalism, and research results. Reviewers will review any submitted paper. The Journal kindly invites scientists, scholars, professionals, and researchers in the form of the contribution with articles to be published and disseminated through: the selection mechanism of the article, criticized by reviewer, and the editing process. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the types of errors made by 5th grade elementary school students in solving spatial geometry problems and to identify the factors that cause them. The subjects of the study were 5th grade elementary school students at the Sinaksak Islamic Madrasah Foundation in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data were obtained through written tests and interviews with 15 students. The results of the study showed that the errors often made by students included conceptual errors (45%), procedural errors (32%), and computational errors (23%). Conceptual errors are mainly related to understanding the formulas for volume and surface area of spatial geometry, procedural errors are related to unsystematic solution steps, while computational errors are in the form of errors in making calculations. Factors that cause errors include weak conceptual understanding, difficulty in visualizing spatial geometry, and lack of practice questions. This study provides recommendations for improving students' conceptual understanding of spatial geometry through the use of concrete learning media and providing varied practice questions.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a digital storytelling learning media for short story writing material for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 02 Indralaya Utara. The digital storytelling learning media was developed using the ADDIE model, which includes Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The validation results from three validators showed an average score of 94.3%, which is categorized as very valid and feasible for use. Furthermore, a practicality test was conducted by distributing response questionnaires to 20 fifth-grade students, resulting in a score of 179, with a percentage of 89.5%, which is also categorized as very practical. Thus, it indicates that the digital storytelling learning media product is appropriate for use in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive electronic student worksheet (E-LKPD) based on local culture, supported by Liveworksheets, focusing on argumentative essay writing material for eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 10 Palembang. The objectives of this study are to: (1) describe the results of the needs analysis of teachers and students regarding the development of an E-LKPD for essay writing based on local culture using the Liveworksheets application, (2) develop a design for the teaching material product of an E-LKPD for essay writing based on local culture using the Liveworksheets application, and (3) describe the results of the validity test of the developed E-LKPD for essay writing based on local culture using the Liveworksheets application. This study employs a development method based on the Alessi & Trollip model. Data collection techniques include interviews and questionnaire distribution to students and Indonesian language teachers. The product validation process was carried out by experts in the fields of content, media, and language. Based on the validation results, the content feasibility received a score of 73 with a percentage of 85.8%, along with suggestions to add examples of local culture-based essays, peer-review exercises, and additional material explaining essay structure. The language feasibility received a score of 49 with a percentage of 89%, with comments suggesting improvements and closer attention to language conventions (EYD). The media feasibility received a score of 64 with a percentage of 91.4%, with suggestions to improve the design of the cover and the school identity page. Revisions were made by the researcher in accordance with the validators’ feedback. Based on these validation results, it can be concluded that the electronic student worksheet (E-LKPD) based on local culture using Liveworksheets for teaching essay writing is highly feasible for use, categorized as highly valid.

Abstract

The research on the development of E-Modules conducted in class XI of SMA Negeri 10 Palembang aims to (1) Describe the results of the analysis of teacher and student needs for the development of e-modules for writing scientific papers assisted by flipbook applications, (2) Present the results of the development of e-modules for writing scientific paper assisted by applications, (3) Describe the results of the alpha test of the development of e-modules for writing scientific papers assisted by flipbook applications. The research and development methods used in this study are Alessi & Trollip. The steps are: (1) Planning stage (planning) by identifying needs analysis. (2) Design stage (design) by collecting designs and preparing prototypes. (3) Development stage (development) by developing the initial product or creating a product design, alpha test (expert validation), and revision. Data collection techniques were carried out using questionnaires, interviews, and expert validation. The alpha test (expert validation) was carried out by three experts, namely media, material experts, and language experts. The results of the media validation test showed a figure of 90% (very valid), material validation showed a figure of 85.4% (very valid), language validation showed a figure of 80% (valid). Based on the results of the validation test by three experts on the learning media assisted by the flipbook application for the material on writing scientific papers, it was declared valid or feasible to be used in class XI at SMA Negeri 10 Palembang.

Abstract

Writing anxiety is a prevalent issue encounter by junior high school students, particularly when tasked with writing English essay. This study investigated anxiety factors faced by junior high school students in writing English essays. The research aims to identify the level and the types of anxiety faced by junior high school writing English essay. The study used mixed method. The data collected through questionnaires. The study's population 45 students at SMPN 29 Bengkulu Tengah. A close-ended questionnaire, adapted from the Second Language Writing Anxiety Inventory (SLWAI) by Cheng (2004), and interview that used to assess levels of somatic, cognitive, and avoidance anxiety. This study revealed that majority of students felt high-anxiety (84.44%) in writing English essay. This study also discovered that, with a mean score of 30.67, cognitive anxiety is the most prevalent type of writing anxiety.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the social aspects in Tere Liye's novel 'Tanah Para Bandit' and their implications for Indonesian language learning. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The research data consists of dialogues sourced from the novel. The data collection technique used in this research is the listening and note-taking technique. The steps of data analysis are reading the entire novel, identifying data related to social aspects, classifying data, interpreting data, and implementing it in Indonesian language learning. Based on the results of the analysis, there are 98 data on social aspects, including 35 data on culture which includes beliefs, symbols, arts, norms, morals, politics, worldviews, 30 data on social environment which includes social relations, criminality, population, professions, social classes, and 33 data on economics which includes production, distribution, consumption, income, poverty, and lifestyle activities. The results of the research can be implemented as teaching materials in analyzing short story or novel texts in the material of developing prose appreciation with an environmental theme in Indonesian language learning at phase F or class XI for the Independent Curriculum High School. The implementation of this research is in the form of a teaching module and Student Worksheet (LKPD).

Abstract

This study examines the curriculum integration pattern of traditional Islamic boarding schools in developing religious potential and entrepreneurial character at the Sidogiri Banat 1 Islamic Boarding School in Pasuruan. In the context of changing times that demand independence and applicable life skills, Islamic boarding schools are required not only to be centers of spiritual strengthening, but also as a place to form productive and innovative characters. This study is important because it is able to show that the tradition of classical Islamic knowledge can synergize with entrepreneurship education without losing the substance of Islamic values. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with participatory observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that curriculum integration was carried out by combining the diniyah education system based on yellow books with structured entrepreneurship training. Business practice activities such as food production, management of student cooperatives, and household skills are combined with strengthening morals, worship, and positive behavioral habits in the Islamic boarding school environment. This integration pattern is not carried out formally, but is rooted in traditional values ​​that are strengthened by the culture of the Islamic boarding school itself. The implication of this integrative curriculum pattern is the formation of the character of students who not only understand religion, but are also independent, disciplined, responsible, and have an entrepreneurial mentality. Sidogiri Banat 1 Islamic Boarding School is an example that traditional Islamic boarding schools can become a center for sustainable religious and economic empowerment of students. This study recommends the replication of a similar integration model in other traditional Islamic boarding schools as a concrete contribution to the development of adaptive and contextual Islamic education.

Abstract

This study focuses on how adolescents can behave aggressively as reviewed from a biopsychological and humanistic approach. This study uses a literature study method, in this case the researcher looks for references from articles, books, and other references that are in accordance with the discussion of the researcher's article material. Aggressive behavior is caused by genetics, neurotransmitters, the brain, and hormones. individuals with a family history of aggressive problems are more likely to show similar behavior, indicating a hereditary component in aggression, and with low serotonin levels tend to behave aggressively, because serotonin functions in regulating emotions. At the adolescent stage, they really need affection and attention from their family. If they do not get affection and attention, adolescents will take action to be noticed by their parents, one of these actions is aggressive behavior. The ego's need for self-esteem in adolescents arises when treated unpleasantly with aggressive behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability to recognize colors in children aged 4-5 years through the implementation of colored ball games. The background of this study is based on the low ability of children to recognize colors as seen in the pre-cycle results, namely an average achievement of only 33% with the category of Starting to Develop (MB). This study uses classroom action research (CAR) which is carried out in two cycles with the Kemmis and MC Taggart models; each cycle consists of two meetings. The research location was carried out at PAUD IT Al Ghazali Modern School Palangka Raya. The research subjects consisted of 17 children aged 4-5 years class A1 Abdullah bin Azzar. Data collection techniques used observation, documentation and interviews which were analyzed descriptively with a percentage. Based on the results of the study, it showed that there was a significant increase in the development of children's ability to recognize colors. In cycle I, the average achievement of children's ability to recognize colors was 64% (Developing According to Expectations), but had not met the success criteria of 76% (Developing Very Well) so that it was continued in cycle II resulting in an average of 89.5% which met the success criteria of Developing Very Well (BSB). These findings indicate that the application of colored ball games is effective in improving the color recognition abilities of children aged 4-5 years.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Indonesian language errors contained in the proposal for the Student Creativity Program (PKM) of Uiversitas Islam Darul ‘Ulum (UNISDA) students with the title “BCandy” Exploitation of Banana Fruit as a Healthy Travel Companion. The focus of the research includes identifying types of language errors, such as errors in the use of punctuation marks and errors in the use of capital letters. The method used is descriptive qualitative with document analysis techniques to explore and describe errors systematically. The results show that there are still many language errors that occur, which are caused by students' lack of understanding of good and correct Indonesian language rules. These findings emphasize the importance of language coaching and training for students so that the quality of PKM proposal writing can improve and produce more professional scientific work.
