Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of human resource management (HR) training on increasing volunteer effectiveness and job satisfaction in social organizations. Social organizations often face challenges in maximizing volunteer contributions due to a lack of structured management and adequate training. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pretest-posttest experimental design in two groups, namely the experimental group that received training and the control group that did not receive training. The training provided includes time management, communication skills, conflict management, and teamwork development, which is designed to improve the competence of volunteers in supporting organizational goals. The study respondents consisted of 20 volunteers who were active in several social organizations, with data collected through work effectiveness and job satisfaction questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using independent statistical tests to identify significant differences between the two groups. The results showed that HR management training significantly increased volunteer work effectiveness by 30% and job satisfaction by 22% (p < 0.05). Volunteers who participated in the training reported improved ability to complete tasks, built positive interpersonal relationships, and felt more valued in the organization.

Abstract

Traditional markets have an important role in the local economy, including in the Pinang Bangkok Market, which is the center of the community's trade activities. However, stall owners in this market face various challenges, such as competition with modern retail, limited capital, and lack of managerial and marketing skills. This study aims to analyze the empowerment strategy of stall owners to increase the competitiveness and sustainability of their business. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study show that empowerment can be carried out through business management training, access to capital, marketing digitalization, and the formation of a community of traders as a forum for sharing experiences and capacity building. In addition, the role of the government and related parties in providing supportive regulations and adequate infrastructure is also an important factor in the success of empowering kiosk owners. In conclusion, empowerment based on strengthening individual and collective capacity can improve the business sustainability of stall owners in the Bangkok Pinang Market.

Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to develop a community-based economic empowerment model through a social entrepreneurship approach as a sustainable rural development strategy. The background of this research is based on the phenomenon of economic inequality and low independence of rural communities due to dependence on external assistance. The social entrepreneurship approach is seen as able to be an innovative solution because it combines social values with entrepreneurial principles that are oriented towards economic, social, and environmental sustainability. The research method used was mixed methods with an exploratory stage to explore local potential, followed by the implementation of a community-based participatory model in three pilot villages. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and quantitative surveys that were analyzed descriptively and inferentially. The results of the study show that the implementation of community-based social entrepreneurship significantly increases economic capacity, social cohesion, and environmental sustainability of rural communities. The model developed focuses on collaboration between local governments, microfinance institutions, and community groups in building a fair and inclusive economic value chain. In addition, this model succeeds in fostering a spirit of social entrepreneurship that is oriented towards collective well-being, not just financial gain. These findings confirm that community-based economic empowerment through social entrepreneurship can be a strategic framework to strengthen rural economic resilience and support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Abstract

Community engagement projects play a pivotal role in fostering inclusive and sustainable development, yet their social and economic impacts are often difficult to quantify systematically. This study aims to develop a comprehensive framework for measuring the multidimensional impacts of community engagement initiatives, integrating both qualitative and quantitative indicators. Using a mixed-methods approach, data were collected from various community development programs across urban and rural areas through surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions. The proposed framework evaluates four key dimensions: social capital enhancement, economic empowerment, participatory governance, and long-term sustainability. Findings reveal that projects emphasizing co-creation, local ownership, and capacity building demonstrate higher social cohesion and more durable economic benefits. Moreover, integrating participatory evaluation tools within project cycles increases transparency, accountability, and community trust. The study contributes to the field of sustainable development by providing a replicable and adaptable impact assessment model applicable across diverse socio-economic contexts. This framework not only guides policymakers and practitioners in designing more effective community engagement programs but also ensures that interventions generate measurable and sustainable outcomes for all stakeholders involved.
