Abstract

This study was motivated by the low mathematical communication of grade IX students at Merangin 7 Public High School. This is due to the lack of active students in the learning process, students only listen to what the teacher explains without understanding it, so students have not been able to communicate mathematically. To overcome this, the researcher uses a problem solving approach. This study aims to determine whether the mathematical communication skills of class IX students of SMP N 7 Merangin in the 2015/2016 Academic Year taught by problem solving approaches are better than those taught by conventional learning. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The sample in this study was IXB as the experimental class and IXC class as the control class. Data collected using the technique of mathematical communication skills in the form of essay on congruence material. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis is the t-test, because the data are normally distributed and have a homogeneous variance. From the data analysis, the experimental class obtained an average of 73,098, whereas in the control class the average is 59,524. . Hypothesis test results obtained, = 3.802 and = 1.864. Because> then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it was concluded that there was an effect of problem solving approach on mathematical communication skills of class IX students of SMP N 7 Merangin in the 2015/2016 school year

Abstract

Perpustakaan perguruan tinggi harus menjadi gerbang utama universitas bukanlah hal yang baru, akan tetapi dari kenyataannya banyak perpustakaan perguruan tinggi yang tidak mampu menjadikan lembaganya sebagai tujuan utama pencarian informasi. Perpustakaan Universitas Syiah Kuala melalui program-program menjadikan perpustakaan menjadi tujuan utama pencarian informasi civitas akademika terutama mahasiswa. Tulisan ini merupakan hasil analisis data-data dari berbagai sumber web pengumpul informasi seperti webometrik dan situs alexa.com sebagai tempat untuk mencari tingkat statistik web domain serta data-data informasi dalam bentuk elektronik lainnya. Salah satu cara peningkatan webometrik adalah melalui banyaknya pengaksesan web domainnya universitas. ETD UPT Perpustakaan Unsyiah merupakan salah satu koleksi open acces yang menggunakan web domain unsyiah, terbukti menjadi salah satu pendukung tingkat pengaksesan web domain unsyiah.

Abstract

AbstrakLSS (Literature Searching Service) adalah salah satu layanan perpustakaan Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) yang merupakan bagian dari layanan referensi. Dimasa pandemi covid-19 tantangan bagi perpustakaan perguruan tinggi sangat komplek. Salah satunya adalah akses kesumber informasi ke perpustakaan sangat terbatas, koleksi perpustakaan tidak termanfaatkan secara optimal. Selama pandemi Covid-19 Perpustakaan USK membuat strategi layanan baru mengganti layanaan tatap muka ke layanan referensi virtual (delivery). Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kinerja pustakawan, sarana akses informasi,  dan kualitas informasi LSS. Penelitian menggunakan metodologi kualitatif deskriptif yang berbentuk narasi. Teknik pengumpulan data  dilakukan dengan observasi partisipan ialah melalui pengamatan dan wawancara yang bersifat terbuka, data statistik dan dokumentasi studi literatur. Data yang dianalisis adalah data permitaan koleksi melalui layanan LSS tiga tahun terakhir. Sejak dirilis bulan Agustus 2020, pemustaka cukup reponsif terhadap layanan referensi virtual  ini. Data menunjukkan tahun 2020, Agustus s.d Desember sebanyak 438 orang melakukan pemesanan. Pada tahun 2021, Januari s.d Desember sebanyak 1.151 orang, adanya peningkatan yang tajam pemesanan koleksi. Pustakawan memiliki keterampilan dalam menelusur informasi yang dibutuhkan, memiliki kecakapan dalam bidangnya. Tersedianya sarpras yang baik, kemudahan akses, sumber informasi yang berkualitas. Secara keseluruhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa layanan LLS sebagai layanan referensi virtual  dapat dikatakan baik.Kata kunci: literature searching service; referensi virtual, layanan delivery, book delivery, perpustakaan digital, pandemi, layanan prima  Abstract LSS (Literature Searching Service) is one of the library services of Syiah Kuala University (USK) which is part of the reference service. The data analyzed is data collection requests through LSS services for the last three years. Since its release in August 2020, users have been quite responsive to this virtual reference service. The data shows that in 2020, from August to December, 438 people placed orders. In 2021, January to December there were 1.151 people who have collection orders increased sharply. Librarians have skills in tracing the information needed, availability of good infrastructure, easy access, quality sources of information. Abstract

This study aims to determine traditional foods that can be integrated into physics learning materials and to determine competencies that can be improved through learning traditional food ethnoscience. This research method is a literature review method, with a sample of 9 research articles from national and international journals. From the results of the study, it is known that among the traditional foods that can be integrated into physics learning, namely, Sago, Tempe, Pempek, Srabi, Tape, Terasi, Rawon, Fish Smoked and Javanese Noodles. These traditional foods are integrated into physics learning on matter, force, pressure, momentum, temperature and heat and energy. Traditional food is integrated into physics learning in the form of modules and LKPD. The integration of traditional food into physics learning can improve the competence of students on learning outcomes, science process skills and scientific literacy of students.

Abstract

Higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) are a student's abilities that include logical and reasoning abilities, analysis, evaluation, and creation. This study aims to identify the development of instruments for assessing higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) in Physics in high school. This review uses a qualitative approach by examining journals from 2016 to 2020. Based on the results of the analysis, show that one form of assessment developed is test questions with multiple choice, reasoned multiple choice, and description-type instruments. The test questions were developed to pay attention to HOTS, KKO indicators, physics, and stimulus problems, as well as Bloom's taxonomy. The materials that are widely developed are temperature and heat, harmonic vibrations, and static and dynamic fluids. The methods often used in this development research are the R&D method from Brog and Gall, the 4D method, the qualitative descriptive method, and the ADDIE method. The HOTS instrument is carried out through a feasibility test and analysis process, including through a validity test by a validator, reliability test, difficulty level test, differential power test, Rasch model analysis, analysis using Cronbach's Alpha formula, and question distractor test. The results of this study are an illustration of important points related to how to develop instruments for assessing higher-order thinking skills(HOTS) in Physics in high school

Abstract

Desa Mudo merupakan daerah yang mayoritas penduduknya bermata pencaharian sebagai petani dan pekebun. Namun, hasil dari sektor ini sering kali belum mencukupi kebutuhan keluarga, terutama bagi ibu-ibu rumah tangga yang ingin berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan keluarga. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan membatik diadakan sebagai alternatif sumber pendapatan bagi ibu-ibu di desa tersebut. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan keterampilan dasar dalam membatik, mulai dari teknik pewarnaan hingga pembuatan motif khas lokal. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan meliputi pendekatan praktik langsung, pendampingan, serta pemberian materi kewirausahaan agar peserta dapat mengembangkan usaha batik secara mandiri. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa ibu-ibu mampu menghasilkan produk batik yang memiliki nilai jual, sehingga membuka peluang ekonomi baru di Desa Mudo. Dengan demikian, pelatihan membatik ini tidak hanya berkontribusi dalam peningkatan keterampilan individu, tetapi juga berpotensi meningkatkan kesejahteraan keluarga dan perekonomian desa secara keseluruhan..

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan pendidikan karakter di universitas dan menilai efektivitas program serta tantangan yang dihadapi. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi dari dosen, mahasiswa, pengelola program, dan staf administrasi di beberapa universitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan program pendidikan karakter bervariasi antar universitas, dengan beberapa institusi menerapkan pendekatan terintegrasi dalam kurikulum, sementara yang lain lebih bergantung pada kegiatan ekstrakurikuler. Keterlibatan aktif dosen dan pengelola program terbukti sebagai faktor kunci dalam keberhasilan program, yang berdampak positif pada pengembangan keterampilan komunikasi, sikap positif, dan kemampuan kerja sama mahasiswa. Namun, tantangan seperti kekurangan sumber daya, fasilitas, dan pelatihan dosen mempengaruhi efektivitas program. Kesimpulannya, untuk meningkatkan hasil pendidikan karakter, universitas perlu memperbaiki strategi implementasi, meningkatkan dukungan dari semua pihak terkait, serta melakukan evaluasi berkelanjutan untuk memastikan relevansi dan dampak positif program terhadap mahasiswa.
