Abstract

The use of cosmetics, including lip cream, has become an essential part of people's lives, especially in Indonesia, as a means to enhance appearance, maintain cleanliness, and provide protection for the body. The study purpose was: : To determine the formulation of a lip cream formulation combining beetroot extract (Beta vulgaris L.) and strawberry fruit (Fragaria vesca L.) as natural colorants in lipsticks available in the Metro regional market using an experimental method. Materials and methods. Quantitative analysis was conducted through pH testing, physical evaluation of the lip cream formulation, and hedonic testing. Results: Out of ten panelists, Formula II scored the highest in most parameters compared to Formula I. Meanwhile, the lip cream formulation combining beetroot extract and strawberry extract can be used as a natural colorant capable of producing attractive and stable colors and is well-received organoleptically. Conclusions. It can be concluded that the best formula is Formula II with a balanced concentration of beetroot and strawberry extracts, and that the concentration in FII produces an optimal formulation in terms of sensory and physical properties. These findings are expected to serve as an initial reference for future researchers to utilize beetroot and strawberries in the formulation of other products such as eyeshadow and lipstick.

Abstract

Keputihan merupakan masalah kesehatan reproduksi yang umum terjadi pada wanita usia subur. Salah satu faktor pemicunya adalah kebersihan organ intim serta penggunaan alat kontrasepsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tindakan menjaga kebersihan diri (personal higiene) dengan penggunaan metode kontrasepsi terhadap kejadian keputihan pada wanita usia subur. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner pada 100 wanita usia 20-35 tahun yang menggunakan kontrasepsi di Puskesmas X. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kurangnya melakukan personal higiene serta penggunaan kontrasepsi tertentu seperti IUD berhubungan signifikan dengan meningkatnya kejadian keputihan. Penting untuk melakukan edukasi berkala mengenai kebersihan organ intim dan pemilihan kontrasepsi yang tepat untuk mengurangi risiko keputihan.

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan salah satu penyebab utama morbiditas dan mortalitas global. Salah satu komplikasi yang berbahaya adalah krisis hipertensi, yaitu peningkatan tekanan darah mendadak ≥180/120 mmHg yang dapat mengancam jiwa. Pasien hipertensi yang dirawat inap memiliki risiko tinggi mengalami fluktuasi tekanan darah akibat kondisi penyakit yang mendasari, terapi obat, dan faktor psikologis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas pemantauan tekanan darah berbasis aplikasi mobile dalam menurunkan kejadian krisis hipertensi pada pasien rawat inap. Penelitian menggunakan desain quasi-experiment dengan kelompok intervensi (n=30) yang dipantau menggunakan aplikasi mobile dan kelompok kontrol (n=30) dengan metode pencatatan manual. Tekanan darah diukur setiap 4 jam selama perawatan. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-square dan uji t independen. Kelompok intervensi hanya mengalami 1 kasus krisis hipertensi (3,3%), sedangkan kelompok kontrol mengalami 7 kasus (23,3%) (p=0,018). Rata-rata tekanan darah sistolik pada kelompok intervensi lebih rendah signifikan dibandingkan kelompok kontrol (135 mmHg vs. 145 mmHg, p=0,04). Pemantauan tekanan darah berbasis aplikasi mobile efektif mencegah krisis hipertensi, meningkatkan kepatuhan pemantauan tekanan darah, dan mempercepat respon tenaga kesehatan. Rekomendasi: Rumah sakit disarankan mengadopsi aplikasi mobile sebagai bagian dari manajemen pasien hipertensi di ruang rawat inap.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the One Day One Ayat (ODOA) method in improving Qur’anic memorization among students at Pondok Pesantren Syarif Ar-Rasyid. Using a quantitative descriptive approach, data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and interviews with 30 students who had participated in the ODOA program for at least one month. The results showed that the ODOA method was effective in enhancing the quantity and consistency of memorization. Students were able to meet daily targets and showed increased motivation, discipline, and spiritual connection during the memorization process. The findings also indicate that the structured nature of the ODOA method helped develop a sustainable memorization habit without overwhelming students. The environment of the pesantren, support from teachers, and daily routines played a significant role in the success of this method. Therefore, the ODOA method is considered a practical and impactful strategy in improving Qur’an memorization, especially when supported by proper guidance and consistency.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the role-playing method in the teaching of Islamic Cultural History (Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam or SKI), specifically on the topic of the Khulafaur Rasyidin, for tenth-grade students at MAS Al Washliyah Tanjung Beringin. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through classroom observation, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation. The findings indicate that the role-playing method enhances student engagement, understanding, and appreciation of the values exemplified by the Khulafaur Rasyidin. Students became more active and enthusiastic during the learning process, as they were given the opportunity to portray historical figures such as Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali. This method not only helped improve their retention of historical facts but also internalized Islamic values such as leadership, justice, integrity, and courage. The study concludes that role-playing is an effective and innovative method for teaching SKI, especially in conveying moral and spiritual lessons through historical narratives.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning outcomes on students' noble character (akhlak mahmudah) at MTs Al-Umm Medan Marelan. Using a quantitative correlational approach, the research involved 60 students as the sample. Data were collected through tests to measure IRE learning outcomes and questionnaires to assess students’ moral behavior. The results showed that there is a significant positive relationship between IRE achievement and the development of akhlak mahmudah. The regression analysis revealed that 32.6% of the variation in students’ moral behavior is influenced by their IRE learning outcomes. This finding indicates that while religious education contributes to character development, other external factors such as family environment, peer influence, and social context also play a role. The study highlights the importance of integrating moral values into the IRE curriculum through affective learning, religious habituation, and teacher role modeling. It is recommended that schools adopt a holistic educational approach to strengthen both intellectual and moral dimensions of students' development.

Abstract

Inisiasi Menyusu Dini (IMD) merupakan langkah awal yang krusial dalam menjamin keberhasilan pemberian Air Susu Ibu (ASI) eksklusif dan meningkatkan kelangsungan hidup bayi. Meskipun IMD direkomendasikan oleh WHO dan Kementerian Kesehatan RI, tingkat keberhasilannya di berbagai wilayah Indonesia masih bervariasi. Salah satu faktor yang berperan penting dalam mendukung keberhasilan IMD adalah dukungan sosial, baik dari keluarga, tenaga kesehatan, maupun masyarakat. Di era digital, bentuk dukungan sosial turut berkembang melalui media digital seperti grup WhatsApp, forum ibu menyusui, dan aplikasi edukasi kehamilan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara dukungan sosial—baik konvensional maupun digital—dengan keberhasilan pelaksanaan IMD pada ibu postpartum. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross-sectional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel sebanyak 120 ibu postpartum diambil secara purposive dari empat rumah sakit di Jawa Barat. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner terstruktur dan dianalisis menggunakan uji chi-square dan regresi logistik. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan signifikan antara dukungan sosial dan keberhasilan IMD (p < 0,05). Ibu yang menerima dukungan tinggi dari suami, tenaga kesehatan, serta memiliki akses informasi melalui media digital memiliki peluang keberhasilan IMD yang lebih tinggi. Dukungan tenaga kesehatan merupakan prediktor dominan dalam model regresi (OR = 3,9; CI 95% = 1,8–8,3). Dukungan sosial berperan penting dalam menunjang keberhasilan IMD. Optimalisasi peran keluarga, tenaga kesehatan, dan media digital sebagai sumber informasi dan motivasi perlu diperkuat dalam program promosi kesehatan ibu dan anak di era digital.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ perceptions of teachers’ skills in opening and closing Islamic Religious Education (PAI) lessons and how these skills impact students’ learning motivation at MTs Al-Umm Medan Marelan. The research employed a quantitative descriptive method with data collected through questionnaires distributed to eighth-grade students. The findings show that students perceive their teachers’ abilities to open and close lessons as highly effective. Teachers who begin lessons with engaging stimuli—such as thought-provoking questions, relevant stories, or connections to current events—successfully capture students’ attention and readiness to learn. Likewise, effective lesson closures that include summaries, reflective discussions, and assignments help reinforce student understanding and provide a sense of completion. Furthermore, a significant positive correlation was found between students’ perceptions of these teaching skills and their motivation to learn. The study concludes that the teacher’s pedagogical competence in initiating and concluding lessons plays a crucial role in shaping students’ enthusiasm, focus, and learning outcomes. Enhancing these skills through ongoing professional development and peer collaboration is essential for improving the overall quality of Islamic education.

Abstract

Street food remains a popular choice for students due to its affordability and convenience. Its rapid preparation and service contribute to its ongoing popularity. The university, including Universitas Negeri Medan, is often surrounded by numerous street vendors offering a diverse range of foods, predominantly made from meat and flour. However, the open exposure of these foods and insufficient sanitation practices pose a heightened risk of contamination by harmful microorganisms. This study examines bacterial contamination in processed meat-based street foods sold near Universitas Negeri Medan, with a focus on items such as meatballs, grilled meatballs, and batagor. Microbiological examination involved isolating bacteria using selective and differential culture media, particularly Eosin Methylene Blue Agar (EMBA). Subsequent identification was carried out using Gram staining to determine cell morphology and SIM (Sulfide Indole Motility) medium for motility assessment in the microbiology lab at Universitas Negeri Medan. Findings revealed contamination predominantly in grilled meatballs, with bacteria belonging to the Enterobacteriaceae family detected. These isolates were characterized as Gram-negative, rod-shaped, and motile microorganisms. The presence of such bacteria raises serious concerns about food safety. It emphasizes the need for improved hygienic practices and rigorous food safety control measures in street food vending areas around the university. Implementing these measures is essential to safeguard student health and maintain the standard of street food quality on campus.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis perilaku bullying serta upaya penanganan perilaku bullying antar siswa dengan mmbentuk program character building siswa. Subjek penelitian dalam hal ini adalah korban dan pelaku. Program Empathy Character Building merupakan proses pembelajaran mengelola karakter empati siswa yang berfungsi untuk mengurangi perilaku yang berfokus pada perilaku bullying. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek program Empathy Character Building terhadap penurunan perilaku bullying. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VI sebanyak 34. Penelitian ini menggunakan Pretest Posttest Experiment Group Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh program Empathy Character Building terhadap penurunan perilaku bullying pada siswa kelas VI SD Amanah 1 Helvetia. Metode pengambilan data yang dilakukan dengan cara wawancara secara mendalam, obervasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data melalui langkah- langkah pengumpulan data, penyajian data, reduksi data dan penarikan kesimpulan serta verifikasi data. Teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data menggunakan perpanjangan pengamatan, ketekunan pengamatan dan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, analisis perilaku bullying yang telah didalami korban dalam bentuk bentuk verbal sehingga korban malas pergi sekolah, korban merasa malu karen sering diejek dirinya dan ayahnya, dan penyebabnya adalah korban terlihat lemah ditambah keadaan ekonomi keluarga yang rendah. Korban sering membalas perlakuan teman yang membully dia tetapi korban tetap merasa kalah sehingga malas sekolah. Pembentukan character building siswa dilakukan di sekolah melalui pembiasaan serta keteladanan dan diharapkan siswa membentuk karakter yang tidak hanya religius dan memiliki karakter yang baik dalam bersosialisasi
