Abstract

A diploma is a graduation document of a student or student who has completed his or her study program. In this case, a diploma is a service because its value does not lie in its physical form, but in the meaning and function it has, namely proof that a person has successfully completed a certain educational program. However, in several guarantee institutions spread across Indonesia, there are still many who allow diplomas as an object of guarantee. In fact, the guarantee law is a closed law to protect the parties involved and is also a general guideline so that it cannot be arbitrarily modified. The closure of the guarantee law for the parties involved raises the question of whether the diploma as a guarantee means modifying the guarantee law that has been set by the state. Therefore, the author wants to examine the legality of a diploma as collateral for debt in civil law in order to find out whether the diploma already has a basis in civil law as a guarantee and how to process how to settle in case of default by the debtor who gives the diploma to be detained.

Abstract

This study aims to identify market expansion opportunities and address the administrative barriers MSMEs Kacang Mete Bu Tini face in exporting fresh or dried shelled cashew nuts with HS Code 080132 to Malaysia and Thailand. MSMEs Kacang Mete Bu Tini encounter significant administrative obstacles due to the lack of essential export documents such as quality certificates, certificates of origin, etc. These obstacles slow the market expansion and reduce the product's competitiveness in international markets. The research conducted through Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) analysis shows that Indonesian cashew nuts have significant comparative advantages in the Malaysian and Thai markets, with RCA values reaching 3.318911 in Malaysia and 2.556656 in Thailand. An RCA value greater than one indicates a comparative advantage in both markets. Regarding competitive advantage, Malaysia holds a "Rising Star" position with an annual export market share growth of 0.281030 percent and a cashew market growth of 0.180204 percent per year. In contrast, Thailand is in a "Retreat" position with an annual export market share growth of -0.509915 percent and a cashew market growth of -0.009638 percent per year, indicating a decline in demand and less satisfactory export performance. The conclusion is that Malaysia is a more suitable export destination for Cashew Nut Bu Tini MSMEs, given the higher RCA value and more favorable market position. MSMEs Kacang Cashew Bu Tini needs to promptly complete the necessary administrative documents to enhance product competitiveness and expand export markets.

Abstract

The era of globalization brought about a significant transformation in international trade, allowing for greater participation of MSMEs. However, even though Indonesia has the largest number of MSMEs in ASEAN, the percentage of MSMEs involved in exports is still low. Various factors hinder the expansion of MSMEs to the international market, including financial management constraints. To overcome these challenges, strengthening strategies are needed, such as fostering a conducive business environment, increasing access to capital, and developing infrastructure. In the context of financial strengthening, it is important for MSMEs to understand capital financing strategies and financial decision-making. The capital budgeting method is crucial in determining investment projects that can increase profitability and expand business. To facilitate proper decision-making, the use of integrative techniques in capital budgeting is important. One method that can be used is the ELECTRE Decision Support System (SPK), which helps to develop investment alternatives based on certain criteria to facilitate decision-making. This study will apply the capital budgeting method and SPK ELECTRE to assist companies in choosing investment options for curly chili or sweet potato plants using five calculation criteria, this study aims to provide guidance for MSMEs in making the right financial decisions.

Abstract

DRK Tahu is a micro business producing various types of tofu, including white ones. This business is located in Gading Rejo District, Pringsewu. There are three types of waste found in the tofu-cutting process: transportation, delay, and storage. Transportation activities and delays cause a waste of time when completing the cutting process. The time required for the entire tofu cutting activity in one process is 832.65 seconds because the cutting work method still uses a wooden frame and a knife. The percentage of the value-added ratio before the improvement was made was 0.33%. This research aims to reduce waste and help optimize the cutting process to be more efficient and effective. The principle of lean manufacturing is used as a method for overcoming problems. The lean manufacturing tool used in this study is Process Activity Mapping (PAM). PAM is used to identify value-added, necessary non-value-added, and non-value-added activities so that the production process becomes lean. The analysis of the factors causing waste was carried out using a fishbone diagram. The proposed improvement for the cause of the problem is through designing a tofu-cutting tool. The implementation results are time savings of 153.87 seconds and an increased value-added ratio of 0.11%.
