Abstract

This Classroom Action Research was carried out to overcome the problem of lack of motivation and enthusiasm for learning of students at SD Negeri 011 Bukit Kapur, Dumai City District in the context of learning Riau Malay Culture (BMR). A teacher who has a high level of professionalism is expected to have the ability to implement various learning models and media to improve the quality of learning. Most students expressed the perception that the Riau Malay Culture (BMR) subject was considered the least interesting. The main aim of this research is to evaluate the extent of success in the implementation of Classroom Action Research (PTK) carried out by teachers in the context of BMR learning. A qualitative approach was used as a data collection method, which involved observation, interviews, implementation of classroom learning, and literature analysis. Research findings show that teachers' participation in Classroom Action Research (PTK) was successful in overcoming challenges related to lack of motivation and enthusiasm in the students' learning process. By adopting a concrete approach, classroom action research emerged as a successful method in improving the quality of learning, especially in the context of Riau Malay Culture (BMR) subjects.

Abstract

Numeracy is students' ability to apply, apply number concepts and arithmetic operations in everyday life. Numeracy is part of an individual's ability to analyze understanding through mathematical language. So that this ability becomes the most important unit for responding to the challenges of the 21st era. The aim of the research is to determine the achievement of the numeracy ability level of class V students at SDN 06 Rantau Bertuah, Minas District, Siak Regency. The research method is PTK or Classroom Action Research with the research design model of Sthepen Kemmis and Mc. The learning model is Game Based Learning using the snake and ladder game as a learning medium. The implementation results show that in the first cycle of classroom action research, the percentage of students who completed was 53%. Meanwhile, in the second cycle of classroom action research, a percentage of 87% of students answered completely. So it can be said that the implementation of the Game based learning model using snakes and ladders media has the potential to improve the numeracy skills of class V students at SD Negeri 06 Rantau Bertuah.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to be able to find out extracurriculars in several schools, both private and state, and analyze the advantages, disadvantages, strengths and weaknesses of these schools' extracurriculars. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The research we conducted was field research where school principals and extracurricular coaches were the subjects. Data collection was taken by means of observation, interviews and documentation. After conducting the research, the results showed that there were fewer people interested in the angklung extracurricular activities at Darul Hikam 2 Elementary School compared to other extracurricular activities, so we as researchers are trying to maintain the existence of Indonesian culture in the midst of globalization by involving playing this angklung musical instrument in the learning process using the playing while learning method. , the aim of which is to know and learn traditional regional musical instruments and foster a sense of love for regional culture.

Abstract

The implementation of the independent learning curriculum and the driving school program as a new curriculum and program in the education system often becomes a problem for some schools or madrassas, school principals, teachers, students and people outside the school. The most basic problems are more influenced by the provision and application of technology (digitalization of education) as well as demands for superior human resources. This research using a library research approach obtained the following findings; 1) Schools in implementing the independent learning curriculum and efforts to transform into driving schools require synergy with other parties who have direct or indirect interests in the school; 2) Synergy between schools and related parties will be effective if it is positioned as an equal partnership and based on contributions between each party as a mutual exchange of mutual needs or mutual benefits; 3) Schools in building this partnership must have standard concepts and measures as well as rational benefits related to the contribution that the school expects from partners and rational benefits from the school to partners so that strong and harmonious ties are created between schools and partners in implementing the independent learning curriculum and realizing driving school as a shared interest and responsibility.

Abstract

The sight of students being given sanctions for not doing homework or schoolwork, not coming on time, rarely using free time in class to study, cheating on exams, leaving class hours at will on the grounds of going to the UKS or going to the bathroom is a common phenomenon in various schools. This indicates students' weak discipline in learning due to their lack of motivation to learn. This research is aimed at describing efforts to increase students' learning awareness through positive self-concept development service programs. The research results found; 1) The level of awareness of students' learning discipline is in line with their learning motivation and positive self-understanding; 2) A positive self-concept development service program that is practical, flexible and interesting and in harmony with student psychology and can be obtained by students anytime and anywhere; 3) The information service program for developing positive self-concept is oriented towards motivating students' learning on an extrinsic basis aimed at fostering intrinsic learning motivation so that it can raise students' awareness of the importance of learning to realize the goals they want to achieve and being disciplined in learning; 4) Developing students' positive self-concept with a focused goal of motivating interest and action, providing self-information and instructions can give students experience in understanding themselves by honing their positive self-concept, so that learning is a necessity, not an obligation.

Abstract

Effective learning is essential to achieve educational goals. In the context of learning, the challenge involves students' lack of understanding due to a focus on memorization without deep comprehension. Teachers play a crucial role in addressing this issue by implementing teaching strategies that encourage understanding and application of knowledge. This research employs a qualitative approach to explore the understanding of effective teaching strategies with a focus on the central role of students. The findings suggest that effective learning requires the teacher's role in designing engaging, student-focused lessons. The quality of learning is measured through aspects such as student health, supportive environments, appropriate program content, student-centered learning processes, and holistic learning outcomes. Well-implemented teaching strategies create positive impacts, including organized classrooms, optimal resource utilization, and increased student motivation.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the implementation and benefits of ice breaking in the learning process at the junior high school level through the literature study method. By analyzing relevant literature, this research presents a comprehensive picture of how ice breaking has been applied in the context of learning in junior high school. The ice breaking method is adopted as an opening strategy to overcome initial awkwardness and build positive interactions among learners. The results show that the consistent implementation of ice breaking provides significant benefits for both learners and educators. For learners, this activity increases engagement, confidence and motivation to learn. In addition, ice breaking helps build social skills and teamwork. For educators, ice breaking becomes an effective tool to open communication channels with students, understand individual needs and create an inclusive learning environment. This research provides insights into the successful implementation and benefits that can be derived from the application of ice breaking in the context of junior secondary education.

Abstract

This research delves into the integration of local wisdom values to enhance the project aimed at strengthening the Pancasila student profile in SMPN 1 Kota Serang. The study investigates the characteristics of Pancasila students, the application of the Pancasila student profile, challenges encountered, and the integration of local wisdom values from the Kota Serang region. The project's success is evaluated, along with its impact on students' national character, and the role of stakeholders is analyzed. The findings suggest that the incorporation of local wisdom values significantly bolsters students' national character and contributes to the overall success of the project. This research holds implications for the development of curricula, character education, and future similar projects, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and integrating local cultural values to foster a stronger sense of national identity among students.

Abstract

Tamerlane's attacks greatly influenced the lives and efforts of Islamic da'wah throughout the world. Its effects included the surrender of almost all Muslim territory to the Mongols in a short time, the destruction of major cities such as Baghdad, Samarkand, Bukhara, and Kairat, the destruction of many Islamic mosques, works of art, and science, oppression by Mongol rulers who did not respect Islam, and loss of political and administrative continuity in the Muslim world. When Mongols from the interior of Siberia invaded Muslim territory in the 13th century, it was known as Tamerlane's Incursion. This was one of the reasons the Abbasid dynasty collapsed, which at the time was considered a symbol of Islamic power and progress throughout the world. The influence of Chinese religion and culture, civil wars between Mongol tribes, the political and economic goals of Genghis Khan and his descendants, and competition with other countries such as Persia, India, and Europe were some of the factors that contributed to this attack. Tamerlane's attacks also taught Muslims to unite and fight against their enemies. Apart from maintaining ethical and moral principles in accordance with Allah's Shari'a, Muslims must strengthen their country's identity as an Islamic country and develop research and technology that is beneficial for human welfare.
