Abstract

The implementation of guided inquiry learning based on local potential is a process in increasing understanding and knowledge in general in students with environmental problems which in the end will lead to an attitude of concern for environmental sustainability. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of guided inquiry learning based on local potential to assess environmental care attitudes. The research method uses a nonrandomized control group pretest-posttest design using two class groups, namely the experimental class and the control class. The research was conducted on students at SMK Negeri 6 on grade XI students of SMK Negeri 6 Fisheries and Marine Lhokseumawe. The subjects of the study amounted to 40 students. The data collection instrument is in the form of a questionnaire of environmental care attitudes. Data analysis techniques in effective tests use Anacova analysis techniques. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the experimental class had an average correction of 73.04 with an increase of 27.4% compared to the control class with an average correction of 72.14 and an increase of only 10.4%. Thus, this research proves that the implementation of guided inquiry learning based on local potential is significantly effective in improving students' environmental care attitudes.

Abstract

Technology can be explain as a scince to produces the art of craft or skill. Most people in this world have a good grip with technology. The aims of this reasearch is to examine the effectiveness of technology on to help students assignment completion in English subject Muhammadiyah Manado Universities. This research acumulate the data by semi-structured interview is finding qualitative research, this study employed a blend of closed- and open-ended questions, often accompanied by follow-up why or how questions. About one hour is considered a reasonable maximum length for SSI. The target population is 10 technology user students at Muhammadiyah Manadi Universities. This research concluded the technology is effectifly be participation tool in the classroom with teachers who help to the success of the implementation of technology in the class,the students have positive response is to be a conclusion toward the use of to learn. According to the students it can minimize the mistakes in doing the task, enable them to finish the tasks in shorter time and increase their self confidence in expressing the ideas.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the percentage level of 21st century skills in students at SMA Negeri 1 Beringin in Biology Learning. The research methodology uses descriptive quantitative descriptive research. The research population was students of class X-1 and X-2 of SMA Negeri 1 Beringin with a total sample of 69 students. Data collection techniques with interviews, test instruments, observation sheets and documentation. Data analysis techniques using validity and reliability tests and analysis using percentage value analysis. The results showed that the 21st century skill level of SMA Negeri 1 Beringin students in Biology Learning obtained a percentage score of 72.28% in the good category. The percentage value of each aspect of 21st century skills is critical thinking skills 75.00%, creative thinking skills 61.08%, communication skills 76.81%, and collaboration skills 75.94%.

Abstract

The project learning model involves students to collaborate, solve problems by stimulating their imagination and creativity to complete a project. This study aims to determine the effect of the project-based learning model on student creativity in the human reproductive system material for class XI SMA/MA. The research method used in this study uses a quasi-experimental or quasi-experimental. The data analysis used is data prerequisite test and hypothesis testing which includes independent sample t test. The research population was all students of class XI MIA at MAS PAB 1 Sampali. The sampling technique uses total sampling. The results of the study with the independent sample t test showed that tcount was worth 4,459 and ttable 1,66 so that it showed tcount > tttable where Ha was accepted which concluded that there was an influence of Project Based Learning Models on Student Creativity in Reproductive System Material Human Class XI SMA / MA.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the critical thinking skills of class X IPA students at Harapan Bangsa Tanjung Morawa High School in the matter of ecosystems. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The instruments used are critical thinking test questions, observation sheets, interviews and documentation. Data collection was carried out in April 2023. The sample used in this research was class X Science students, totaling 28 students. The research results show that students' critical thinking abilities in class X Science are relatively low with a percentage of 72.6⁒. The critical thinking indicator that has the highest percentage is the strategy and tactics indicator with a percentage of 83⁒ and the lowest indicator is the conclusion indicator with a percentage of 62⁒. Other indicators are providing simple explanations with a percentage of 78⁒, indicators providing further explanations 64⁒, and indicators of building basic skills 76⁒.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of multiplication bar media on the understanding of the concept of mathematical multiplication of fourth grade students of SDN 2 Lawe Hijo, Southeast Aceh Regency. The type of research used is quantitative with quasi experimental method. The research design used was Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Therefore, the population used was all grade IV students of SDN 2 Lawe Hijo totaling 56 students consisting of 2 classes, namely experimental and control classes. Sampling using random sampling technique so that class IVA was selected as the experimental class totaling 28 people and class IVB as the control class totaling 28 people. The study aims to determine the effect of understanding the concept of multiplication of mathematics students who are taught by using multiplication bar media and students who are taught using conventional learning models. Based on research that has been conducted in class IV SDN 2 Lawe Hijo, shows a significant effect of the application of multiplication bar media on the understanding of the concept of multiplication in mathematics subjects. This can be seen based on the average score obtained by students in the experimental class better than the control class 78.39>71.61. Based on the results of the t-test using SPSS, the significance value (2-tailed) is 0.000 <0.05, so HO is rejected and Ha is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an effect of using the multiplication bar media on the understanding of the concept of multiplication of mathematics of fourth grade students of SDN 2 Lawe Hijo, Southeast Aceh Regency, so that the multiplication bar media can be used by teachers in improving students' understanding of the concept of multiplication.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out : (1) Students' ability to read beginning in class 1 SDN No 102105 Bandar Bejambu, Tebing Tinggi District, academic year 2020/2023, (2) Difficulties faced by students in starting reading in class 1 SDN No 102105 Bandar Bejambu Tebing Tinggi District and (3) how to overcome students' difficulties in reading beginning in grade 1 SDN No 102105 Bandar Bejambu, Tebing Tinggi District. The methology in this study uses qualitative research with descriptive methods. Respondents in this study were teachers, students and parents of students. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview and documentation methods. Data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Furthermore, the technique of checking the validity of the data uses credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability. The results of this study indicate that the ability of students in grade 1 has begun to increase from 20 students. There are 4 students who have difficulty reading, such as : 1) Some students are still confused about letters such as p-b, b-d, q-p, 2) have difficulty reading solid letters such as kh , ng, ny, sy, 3) students have not been able to spell, 4) inhibiting factors for students are internal and external students. Some of the teacher's ways to overcome early reading difficulties in grade 1 are to provide support such as reading habituation, paying attention to and motivating students, providing additional hours and free time and the teacher must also provide an approach, choose an effective beginning reading method for students, guide and create comfortable atmosphere, communicating with parents of students.

Abstract

The research that has been carried out is entitled "Difficulties of Grade 3 Students in Solving Math Story Problems on Flat Shape Material at MIN 9 Medan School" with the background that students at this school have problems with solving math word problems. Among them are students not being able to determine what things they have to do first in solving story problems, the accuracy of matching objects and the ability of students to draw conclusions from the work done by students and relate it to the initial problem to be solved. This study aims to determine the ability of grade 3 students in solving word problems, the completion stage, and identify the difficulties experienced by grade 3 students at MIN 9 Medan. The research methodology uses a qualitative approach. The sampling technique is based on the criteria set by the researcher. The informants in this study were all 30 grade 3 students at MIN 9 Medan. Retrieval of research data used in this thesis, namely interviews. The data processing tool in this study is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed that: 1) Students' difficulties in solving word problems at the understanding stage were difficulties in identifying the question keywords, students' difficulties at the planning stage were difficulties in transforming the question sentences into mathematical models, students' difficulties at the plan implementation stage were difficult calculations influenced by the students' ability in multiplication and division as well as mastery of the concept of measurement material, the difficulty of calculating is characterized by calculation errors made by students, the difficulty at the review stage is in the form of difficulty writing concluding sentences, 2) The factors causing the difficulties experienced by students consist of four causal factors namely personal factors of students, factors of giving assistance, factors of mastery of concepts and factors of student perceptions, 3) Efforts that can be made by the teacher to reduce student difficulties, namely identifying problems with difficulties experienced by students, making story questions using communicative language, increasing practice questions stories, implementing cooperative learning, contextual learning, providing individual guidance, providing motivation and rewards and using learning media.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the positive and significant influence of the index card match learning model on the active learning of PAK students in class IX of SMP N 3 Lintongnihuta, Humbang Hasundutan Regency for the 2023/2024 academic year. The method used in this research is a descriptive quantitative research method. The population is all 191 class IX students of SMP Negeri 3 Lintongnihuta for the 2023/2024 academic year who are Protestant Christians and a sample of 48 people was determined using random sampling techniques. Data was collected using a positive closed questionnaire with 32 items, namely 16 items for variable Lintongnihuta, Humbang Hasundutan Regency 2023/2024 Academic Year: 1) Test the analysis requirements: a) positive relationship test obtained a value of rxy = 0.607 > rtable(a=0.05,n=48) = 0.284. b) Testing a significant relationship obtained a value of t = 5.179 > t table (a = 0.05, dk = n-2 = 46) = 2.021. 2) Influence test: a) Regression equation test, obtained the regression equation Y ̂="17.02"+0.65X. b) Regression coefficient of determination test (r2) = 36.8%. 3) Test the hypothesis using the F test to obtain Fcount > Ftable=(a=0.05, dk numerator k=20, dk denominator=n-2=48-2=46) namely 26.77 > 1.51. Thus Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the positive and significant influence of classroom management by teachers on the PAK learning motivation of class IX students at SMP Negeri 4 Tarutung for the 2023/2024 academic year. The research method used is a quantitative research method with a One Shot Case Study experimental approach. The population is all class IX students of SMP Negeri 4 Tarutung for the 2023/2024 academic year, totaling 103 people and a research sample of 30 people was determined using the Nonprobability Sampling technique, namely Purposive Sample. Data was collected using a positive closed questionnaire with 16 items for variable : 1) Test the analysis requirements: a) positive relationship test obtained rxy = 0.573 > rtabel(a=0,05,n=30) = 0.361. b) Testing a significant relationship obtained tcount= 3. > ttabel(a=0,05,dk=n-2=28)= 2.048. 2) Influence test: a) Regression equation test, obtained regression equation. b) Regression coefficient of determination test (r2) = 32.8%. 3) Test the hypothesis using the F test to obtain Fcount > Ftable=(=0.05, dk numerator k=13, dk denominator=n-2=30-2=28) namely 13.67 > 2.09. Thus, Ha, that is, there is a positive and significant influence of classroom management by teachers on the learning motivation of PAK students in class IX of SMP Negeri 4 Tarutung for the 2023/2024 academic year is accepted and H0 is rejected.
