Abstract

TechnoDesign.

Abstract

Employee performance is one of the main indicators in measuring the success of an organization, including in the government sector which demands efficiency, accountability, and optimal public service. Good performance is not only influenced by technical capabilities, but also by internal organizational factors such as work discipline, work environment, and motivation. This study aims to empirically analyze: (1) the effect of work discipline on motivation and performance; (2) the effect of work environment on motivation and performance; and (3) the role of motivation as a mediating variable between work discipline and work environment on employee performance in the Road Project Management Unit (PMU), Ministry of Public Works, Timor-Leste. This study uses a quantitative approach with a causal associative design. The number of respondents was 40 employees of the ROAD PROJECT MANAGEMENT UNIT (PMU). The data collection technique was carried out by distributing closed questionnaires using a Likert scale. Data analysis was carried out through path analysis with the help of SPSS version 23.0, and the mediation test was carried out with the Sobel Test to test the indirect effect. The results of the study showed that, (1) Work discipline has a positive and significant effect on motivation, but does not have a direct effect on performance. (2) The work environment has a positive and significant effect on both motivation and performance directly. (3) Motivation plays a significant role in mediating the relationship between work discipline and performance, but does not mediate the relationship between work environment and performance. The practical implications of these findings indicate that efforts to increase employee motivation through discipline enforcement and the creation of a conducive work environment are strategic steps to encourage increased employee performance. This study is expected to be a reference for the development of human resource management policies in government institutions in Timor-Leste.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of time management, work pressure, and task enrichment on employee performance at PT. Tiga Putra Logistik located in Sidoarjo. All employees of the company became the population in this study, with 70 respondents selected purposively based on certain criteria. The analysis technique used was multiple linear regression with the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach. The results of the analysis showed that the three variables simultaneously had a significant effect on employee performance. Individually, time management was proven to have a significant positive impact, indicating that good time management can increase productivity. Conversely, work stress had a significant negative effect, where excessive pressure actually decreased performance. On the other hand, job enrichment emerged as the most influential factor in driving increased performance because it provided task variation, meaning in work, and freedom in work, all of which increased motivation and satisfaction.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of digital political polarization on social stability in urban communities following the 2024 General Elections. With the rise of digital platforms, political discourse has become increasingly fragmented, fostering polarized views among the electorate. This polarization has the potential to influence social stability, particularly in urban settings where diverse political opinions converge. By employing a mixed-methods approach, the research analyzes public sentiment through social media trends, surveys, and in-depth interviews. It explores how digital political polarization affects community interactions, public trust, and social cohesion. The findings suggest that while digital polarization can intensify political divides, it also presents opportunities for dialogue and collective problem-solving, depending on how urban communities manage digital engagement. The study highlights the need for effective media literacy and digital communication strategies to mitigate the adverse effects of polarization on social stability in post-election contexts.

The data was analyzed using multiple linear regression tests to see the extent to which independent variables affect meaningful economic entrepreneurship as dependent variables. The results show that the evolution of entrepreneurial ethics, existential position and customer connectivity have a positive and significant effect on meaningful economic entrepreneurship. Abstract

Green accounting has become a strategic approach to supporting sustainable business practices, particularly amidst increasing global pressure on corporate environmental responsibility. This study aims to integratively analyze green accounting practices implemented by multinational corporations (MNCs) in developing countries. Using a qualitative method with a library research approach, this study collected and analyzed various academic sources, company reports, and international policy documents relevant to environmental accounting. The results show that the implementation of green accounting by MNCs in developing countries remains highly variable, depending on local regulations, stakeholder pressure, and corporate commitment to sustainability. The most common practices include recording environmental costs, reporting carbon emissions, and disclosing investments in environmentally friendly technologies. However, significant challenges remain, such as limited binding legal frameworks, low environmental accounting literacy, and a lack of integration between financial and sustainability reporting. This integrative analysis demonstrates that the adoption of green accounting is not merely a technical issue but also a reflection of broader corporate governance, transparency, and social responsibility. This study recommends the need for harmonization of environmental reporting standards, capacity building of local human resources, and cross-sector collaboration to promote greener and more accountable accounting practices in developing countries.
