Abstract

The development of communication technology has brought innovations such as digital platforms communication like WhatsApp, making communication easier across distances. CV Mulia Buana Jaya uses WhatsApp for both internal and external communication. Although it offers convenience and speed, its use in supporting corporate communication requires evaluation. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the utilization of WhatsApp in internal and external communication in the company and their impact on communication effectiveness. The novelty of this study is mix method approach, combining qualitative method using thematic analysis through and and quantitative method using multiple linear regression analysis. Data collection was done through semi-structured interviews with six informants (purposive sampling) and questionnaires distributed to 60 respondents (Slovin's formula and stratified random sampling). The data provided by respondents used a Likert scale and analyzed with IBM SPSS Statistics 25. The result of this research findings reveal three key factors influencing the utilization of WhatsApp in internal and external communication in company is ease of use, usefulness, and security. These factors positively and significantly impact communication effectiveness, both individually and collectively. The findings offer practical implications for the company in evaluating and optimizing the use of WhatsApp to improve internal and external communication effectiveness.

Abstract

Bogor City is one of the cities in Indonesia that offers a wide variety of tourist destinations. This diversity provides many options for travelers when choosing their vacation spots. However, these destinations would not be widely recognized by the public without optimal promotional efforts. This study discusses the role of the Tourism and Culture Office of Bogor City as a Regional Government Organization (OPD) under the Bogor City Government, which is responsible for developing the tourism and creative economy sectors. One of its main tasks is to promote tourism in Bogor City. Social media, particularly Instagram, is utilized as a tool for promotion. Through its official account @smilingbogorcity, the Tourism and Culture Office promotes various tourist destinations in Bogor. Using Instagram as a promotional medium provides benefits such as spreading information about tourism to a broader audience and encouraging people to visit. Effective marketing communication strategies on the @smilingbogorcity account are implemented to ensure that Bogor's tourist destinations become the top-of-mind choice for the public when planning a trip.

Abstract

DarkChoco, which sells Dubai chocolate, has seen its sales increase every day, but this situation has affected the level of service to customers because the ingredients used to make the chocolate run out quickly. There are some customers who cannot taste and get the Dubai chocolate. This case will lead to fewer customers. So this research was conducted to predict sales in maintaining the availability of materials so that the services will increase again. The method that will be used in this research uses the Monte Carlo method by processing Dubai Viral Chocolate sales data in 2021, 2022 and 2023. This study aims to simulate the prediction of the sales level of Dubai specialty chocolate by applying the Monte Carlo method. Dubai specialty chocolate is a product with high market potential and significant demand fluctuations, so accurate sales prediction is very important for business decision making. The simulation of the sales forecast will show an average accuracy rate of about 94.5%, which means that the forecast is quite close to the actual data. Some months with large deviations (February, March, May, August, December) indicate potential seasonal variability or other factors that need attention. This simulation model is effective for sales forecasting and planning by taking uncertainty into account. Thus, this method is capable of producing forecasts that are more realistic and informative than conventional methods. The results show that the application of Monte Carlo method is able to provide a comprehensive overview of sales simulation and predict sales levels with sufficient accuracy, and this Monte Carlo method can also be an effective tool in helping companies manage inventory and marketing strategies for Dubai specialty chocolates to improve operational efficiency and business profits in the future.

Abstract

Landslide Susceptibility Analysis Using Geomorphological Mapping Approach in East Manggarai Region. Technology (IT), particularly Geographic Information Systems (GIS), plays a significant role in supporting the management of natural disasters such as landslides. East Manggarai has geographical conditions that are highly vulnerable to landslides, with topography dominated by steep hills and sharp slopes. To address this issue, it is necessary to analyze landslide susceptibility levels in the East Manggarai region using a geomorphological mapping approach through Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The mapping provides important contributions to the government in spatial planning, disaster prevention, and landslide risk mitigation. Landslide susceptibility maps and data will be published through an interactive website, facilitating information access for communities and stakeholders. This is expected to help communities identify areas prone to landslides and predict potential landslide occurrences.

Abstract

This study analyzes the use of the Instagram account @antaratv in disseminating national news in Indonesia, especially among the younger generation. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with the manager of the Instagram account @antaratv. The results of the study indicate that Instagram has become an effective platform for disseminating information. The Instagram account @antaratv has successfully adapted a communication strategy by utilizing features such as Reels and attractive visual content, in accordance with the preferences of digital audiences who tend to like short and easy-to-digest information. This study also highlights the importance of journalistic integrity in presenting news, such as the spread of fake news. By utilizing the Diffusion of Innovation theory, this study shows that Instagram users @antaratv reflect successful adaptation to changes in news consumption patterns in the digital era. These findings are expected to provide insight into the development of more effective and reliable information dissemination strategies on social media.

Abstract

The fluctuating daily demand at Reza Bakery leads to an imbalance between production capacity and consumer needs. This study aims to forecast the daily demand of the three best-selling bread products using the Monte Carlo simulation method: Small White Bread, Mocha Bread, and French Chocolate Bread. Sales data from April 2025 covering 30 days were used as the simulation basis. The simulation involves calculating the probability distribution of demand, generating random numbers, and mapping them to demand predictions. Results show that daily demand predictions range from 33–40 units for Small White Bread, 16–22 units for Mocha Bread, and 7–12 units for French Chocolate Bread. This method helps in formulating more efficient production strategies, with good accuracy estimates based on the match between simulation results and historical trends. The simulation offers potential to reduce overstock risks and improve operational efficiency.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the Instagram Reels video production process by the Bandung City Communication and Informatics Agency (@diskominfobdg) in disseminating government information to the public. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study identified the production stages consisting of pre-production, production, and post-production. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with three key informants directly involved in production, as well as observation and documentation during the period from January to May 2025. This study also revealed the obstacles faced by the production team and the efforts made to overcome these challenges. The results showed that each stage of production reflects the function of mass media according to Denis McQuail's theory, namely information, correlation, entertainment, and mobilization. The pre-production stage involves analyzing current issues, determining relevant topics, and compiling an interesting script. During production, visual aesthetics and technical aspects are considered to create interesting and informative content. Post-production focuses on editing, music selection, and scriptwriting to enhance the impact of the video. The Bandung Diskominfo team faced technical and human resource constraints, but managed to overcome them through collaborative strategies, efficient editing tools, and simplifying complex information. This study provides insight into the government's communication strategy in utilizing social media, especially Instagram Reels, as an effective and engaging means of disseminating information to the public while facing various challenges in the production process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the evaluation of information technology governance at bank bjb using the cobit 5 method. This research uses a quantitative approach. The subjects in this study were employees of Bank BJB Palembang Branch who provided answers to questions in the questionnaire. The object of this research is Bank BJB Palembang Branch itself. data collection in this study includes observation, literature study, interviews, and distributing questionnaires. Samples that represent the population are selected by purposive sampling method, with the condition that the sample truly represents the user. The analysis technique in this study is based on data obtained through questionnaires distributed to several employees of Bank BJB Palembang Branch. From the research results it can be concluded that there is a gap or gap of 0.73 from the gap analysis results. This gap is divided into five domains, namely EDM01 there is no IT risk assessment, IT policies regarding IT governance. EDM02 there is no assurance that IT investment can balance the benefits and the budget spent can be balanced. EDM03 there is no awareness of exposure to IT risks and controls and evaluating the effectiveness of IT risk management monitoring. EDM04 No IT-related strategies and policies for software standards, hardware defined. EDM05 There is no evidence of process objectives in IT governance stakeholders.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the performance appraisal of bank sumsel babel employees using key perfomance indicators. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were employees of Bank Sumsel Babel Sekayu Branch Determination. Data collection in this study includes observation, interviews, and documentation. Samples representing the population were selected by purposive sampling method. Analysis techniques in this study using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. From the results of the study it can be concluded that the assessment of employee performance at Bank Sumsel Babel Sekayu Branch using key perofrmance indicators is carried out for all employees, which is carried out at the beginning of the year until the end of the year. KPIs have a significant effect, for example on success factors and certainly have a positive effect on employee performance appraisals. Monitoring and evaluation of KPIs at Bank Sumsel Babel Sekayu Branch is carried out twice a year, namely in Semester I in the period from January to July. While in Semester II in the period from January to December (one full year).

Abstract

This The crisis of communication ethics in social media is a complex and systemic contemporary phenomenon, triggered by weak digital literacy, neglect of netiquette, and the dominance of digital platform algorithms. This article analyzes in a multidisciplinary manner how digital structure, virality culture, and lack of regulation contribute to the rise of hate speech, the spread of hoaxes, and aggressive communication behavior in the digital public space. Through a qualitative approach and observation of the platforms TikTok, Instagram, and X (Twitter), this study found that destructive communication behaviors do not stand alone, but rather reinforce each other in a permissive digital ecosystem. The algorithm amplifies extreme content for the sake of emotional engagement, while users are accustomed to social validation that encourages expression, without reflection. Weak regulations and low digital ethics education have also exacerbated this condition. Therefore, this article recommends integrative strategies in the form of algorithmic resistance, regulatory reform, and strengthening digital ethical literacy based on collaboration between governments, platforms, academics, and civil society. With this holistic approach, it is hoped that the digital space can become more ethical, inclusive, and responsible as a representation of modern communication civilization.
