Abstract

Increasing agricultural production is a top priority in agricultural development. There are many agricultural problems to be managed. One way to increase rice production is to pay attention to irrigation conditions. In addition to irrigation, rising temperatures also affect the process of flowering and grain filling. At high temperatures, grain because of rice agricultural production will calcify, resulting in a decrease in grain quantity and grain mass. Temperature spikes can also reduce the viability and size of the seeds when they reach the ripe stage. Apart from water and air, farmers also need to pay attention to soil pH and humidity. Many farmers do not yet have accurate indicators to determine soil quality, most farmers only use estimates, the application of the estimation method causes the quality of the soil in paddy fields to be infertile. To overcome this problem, a tool is made to predict the condition of agricultural land by taking data on temperature, humidity, air pressure, soil pH, soil moisture, and water flow rate. The data is then sent to a database to be displayed on a web server, so that farmers can monitor land conditions. It is expected that the parameter results obtained can be used as a preventive measure for farmers when conditions occur that can reduce rice productivity. That way, the condition of the land can be maintained so that crop failure can be minimized. This tool will be implemented in one of the rice fields of the residents of Kalipadang-Benjeng-Gresik Village. Based on data taken using an NPK sensor, wet soil has an average NPK content of 29.3 (Nitrogen); 41 (Phosphorus); 82 (Potassium). Moist soil has an NPK level of 28 (Nitrogen); 40 (Phosphorus); 82 (Potassium), and dry soil has an NPK level of 27.5 (Nitrogen); 39.7 (Phosphorus); 79.1 (Potassium). It can be said that soil moisture is directly proportional to NPK levels.

Abstract

West Bandung Regency is one of the areas that frequently experiences landslides and landslides. Residents of Cililin Village, which is part of it, have concerns that the slope due to open excavation close to residential houses will have the potential for landslides but do not yet understand how to plan appropriate slope reinforcement. This service activity aims to review the stability of the excavation slopes around residents' houses and then plan a retaining wall that meets safe and stable technical rules. A field survey was carried out to measure the slope geometry and observe the situation around the area. Then slope stability modeling is carried out with input of slope geometry and soil property data. From the analysis results, it was obtained that the slope safety factor value was 1,518, exceeding the minimum safety factor of 1.5, so it was considered quite safe. However, this value is considered low considering that Cililin District is at high risk of landslides. Therefore, additional reinforcement of the slopes was made with earth retaining walls made of rock material. Planning for retaining walls is made of 4 types of varying dimensions. The size of the retaining wall varies, from a width of 3-4.5 m, and a height of 5.5 – 7.5 meters according to the height of each trap. From the planned dimensions, the overall safety factor against overturning, shearing and soil bearing capacity exceeds 1.5, the slope is declared safe. It is hoped that this service activity can become a reference for residents in making retaining walls to strengthen structures on similar slopes.

Abstract

Social independence and alternative efforts to improve the village economy are joint or collaborative efforts through community service activities. The form of community service activities can be in the form of information transfer, education and technology or other planned activities. One of these fields can be agricultural activities, namely plant breeding or cell multiplication which functions to meet the need for seeds, especially for home gardens, ornamental plants, plantations, food and horticulture, all of which can be done independently for sale or to meet one's own needs. Cultivation of garden and horticultural crops in Suling Wetan Village still uses conventional methods which greatly affect overall production results. The macropropagation technique is an effort to obtain quality seeds that have viability, disease resistance and superior characteristics and are able to maintain the same characteristics as their parents. The service activities received a very good response from the Suling Wetan village farmer group and the general public. Farming groups or the general public can utilize macropropagation technology to support agricultural production at low costs and become an alternative source of income.

Abstract

Waste in Sorong consists of a mixture of organic and non-organic materials. Based on its categories, Sorong's waste can be classified as plastic, paper/cardboard, glass/bottle, iron/tin, hazardous waste (B3), and organic waste. The purpose of this community empowerment activity is to maintain the beauty of the public space panorama and instill discipline in the disposal of waste among all residents of Sorong. This community engagement activity took place on September 13, 2023, in front of DEO Airport in Sorong City, Southwest Papua Province. The community engagement activities included: (1) Delivering a presentation on the importance of World Cleanup Day; (2) Cleaning up waste around the public areas of DEO Airport; and (3) Collecting waste in bags for weighing. The theme for this activity was "Environmental Cleanup Service in Sorong City in Commemoration of World Clean Up Day 2023." The technical approach for World Cleanup Day this year involved dividing groups into "A, B, G, C" (academics, business, government, and community) within designated "work focus areas" (waste cleanup) spread throughout the DEO Airport area in Sorong City, particularly in public spaces that are central points for waste input. Therefore, the recommendation from this activity emphasizes the importance of avoiding the use of plastic in daily activities that tend to rely on plastic.

Abstract

The prayer room is a place of worship and is one of the centers of Muslim activities apart from the mosque. The financial management of prayer rooms which still uses a manual management system causes prayer rooms to have difficulty processing data and takes a long time. Therefore, a prayer room financial management information system is needed to make it easier for managers to input data and increase data accountability and transparency. This research aims to develop a web-based prayer room financial management information system. The data collection methods used were observation and literature study. System development is carried out through needs analysis, basic data design, and interface design using UML. The system was built using the PHP and HTML programming languages, using a bootstrap framework and creating basic data using MySQL. The research results show that the web-based prayer room financial management information system can make it easier for managers to input prayer room asset and financial data. This system can also increase accountability and data transparency, so that it can provide real-time financial report information to the congregation and the public regarding prayer room management. It is hoped that this research can make a positive contribution to the efficiency of prayer room financial management, become a reference for other prayer rooms that still use manual systems, and overall, strengthen the quality of community service activities at the local level.
