Abstract

This article analyzes the dynamics of technical-tactical actions (TTA) performed during official matches by teams composed of skilled football players. Ongoing pedagogical observations were conducted on the players of teams participating in the Uzbekistan National Football Championship's top league during the 2023-2024 seasons. The research involved 42 football players from two teams competing in the country’s top league during the 2023 and 2024 championships. The average indicators of technical-tactical actions performed by the “Sogdiana” and “Olmaliq” teams during the matches at the beginning, middle, and end of the championship were identified and analyzed. The recorded indicators suggest that both the volume of TTAs and the movement across the field among players participating in the Uzbekistan National Championship are significantly lower compared to those of foreign players, highlighting a primarily “weak” development of their general and specific work capacity. However, in the official matches held in the middle and at the end of the championship, players of the “Olmaliq” team who regularly performed experimental relaxation exercises throughout the year showed progressive increases in the volume and efficiency of TTAs as well as in their physical and functional capacity levels.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the team teaching strategy on learning several offensive basketball skills among students. A quantitative experimental method was used, involving a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 20 students selected through total sampling. The instruments used were tests of offensive basketball skills including passing, dribbling, and lay-up. Data analysis used the t-test to compare the pretest and posttest results. The findings showed a significant increase in students’ offensive basketball skills after the implementation of the team teaching strategy. The t-value (15.96) was higher than the t-table value (1.729) at a 5% significance level, indicating a statistically significant improvement. The average pretest score was 9.45, while the posttest average rose to 14.3. This suggests that the team teaching strategy positively influences students’ learning outcomes in basketball offensive skills. The implication of this research is that team teaching can be an effective instructional strategy to enhance technical performance in sports, especially in complex skill-based activities like basketball. In the future, this research may serve as a valuable reference for developing innovative teaching models and for further studies on collaborative instruction across different sports and educational levels.

Abstract

Background of Study: This study investigates the relationship between emotional intelligence and time management among managers of sports institutions in Iraq. Emotional intelligence is considered a critical factor in enhancing managerial performance and optimizing organizational efficiency, while time management is a key competency in achieving administrative effectiveness. Methods: The study applied a descriptive survey method with a sample of 125 managers from the Iraqi Ministry of Youth and Sports. Two scales were developed—emotional intelligence (20 items) and time management (20 items)—which were validated through expert judgment, discriminant analysis, internal consistency, and Cronbach’s alpha reliability tests. Data were analyzed using t-tests, Pearson correlation, and simple regression. Result: Findings revealed that both emotional intelligence and time management scores were significantly higher than the theoretical mean (p < 0.001). A strong positive correlation (r = 0.980, p < 0.001) was found between emotional intelligence and time management. Regression analysis indicated that emotional intelligence significantly predicted time management effectiveness, explaining 95.9% of its variance. Conclusion: Emotional intelligence plays a pivotal role in enhancing time management among sports managers. The study recommends integrating emotional intelligence development into organizational culture and training programs to improve time utilization, administrative efficiency, and overall performance in sports institutions.
