Abstract

This research aims to improve the understanding of the children of SDIT Al-Muddatsiriyah of mathematical materials with ethnomatematics-based development of storytelling script in the 5th grade. This research is a development research focused on developing a story storytelling script based on people's stories on a two-dimensional comparison material. The development model used in this study is the development model of ADDIE which is: analysis stage (Analysis), design stage (Design), development stage (Development), implementation stage (Implementation), and evaluation stage. (Evaluation). But this study was not implemented due to the time limitation of the study and only conducted a small-scale trial on 5 students of V SD class. Data collection techniques use interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are quantitative descriptive and qualitative. The results of the study showed that Storytelling scripts through the validation test of the experts – the mathematicians presented 98% and the presenting language experts 100% – then the storytelling script was said to be useful

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of learning outcomes in Science, specifically on the topic of plant structure and function, for fourth-grade students at SDN 2 Dena through the implementation of the Discussion method. Data were collected from 17 students through two cycles of classroom action research. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes between Cycle I and Cycle II, with the class average increasing from 62.65 to 80. This improvement has reached the predetermined target. Additionally, the study revealed that the Discussion method effectively enhances the monitoring of teacher and student actions during the learning process, with the percentage of action monitoring increasing from 65% in Cycle I to 85% in Cycle II. These findings align with previous research indicating that the Discussion method can enhance students' understanding, active participation, and communication skills. The results of this study have important implications for educational practitioners in designing interactive and effective Science instruction to achieve desired learning objectives.

Abstract

The research objective was to determine the relationship between self-concept and learning outcomes, determine the relationship between mathematical dispositions and learning outcomes, and determine the relationship between self-concept and mathematical disposition on learning outcomes. The study used a survey method with correlation techniques for fourth-grade students. The results showed that 1) there was a positive relationship between self-concept and learning outcomes; 2) there is a positive relationship between mathematical dispositions and student learning outcomes, and 3) there is a positive relationship between self-concept and mathematical dispositions on learning outcomes. Thus, the study results can be concluded that the learning outcomes of elementary school students have a positive relationship between self-concept and mathematical disposition

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the positive impact of implementing the cooperative learning model of STAD type on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. The research method used is a Quasi-Experiment with a Pretest-Posttest design and a Non-Equivalent Control Group. The study population comprises all fourth-grade students in primary schools in the Madiun, with a sample of 26 students in the experimental group and 21 students in the control group. Data were collected through pretest and posttest assessments and analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test. The hypothesis analysis results indicate that the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students in the experimental group, which applied the STAD cooperative learning model, significantly outperformed the abilities of students in the control group receiving conventional instruction. The conclusion of this research is that the STAD cooperative learning model has a significant positive impact on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities

Abstract

This research aims to empirically determine whether the use of the process skills approach has an influence on the science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN in the Kulon Progo region. The research is of an experimental type and was conducted at SDN Kulon Progo, specifically in the fourth-grade classes. The sample was selected using Cluster Random Sampling technique. Data collection was done using a learning outcome test as the instrument, which consisted of only objective multiple-choice questions totaling 30 items. The normality test using the Lilliefors test indicated that both classes had a normal distribution. Subsequently, a homogeneity test was conducted, showing that both classes were homogeneous. The data was then analyzed using a t-test for hypothesis testing. The calculation results showed that the calculated t-value was 3.82, while the tabulated t-value at a significance level of α = 0.05 was 1.67. This means that the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected, and the research hypothesis (H1) was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of the use of the process skills approach on the science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in Kulon Progo

Abstract

This research explores the importance of utilizing Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in language learning for Elementary School (SD) students. The research aims to identify whether the use of Generative AI can enhance the writing skills of elementary school students. The study was conducted with elementary school students from two different schools as the research population located in the Nanga Pinoh District, Melawi Regency. The research sample consists of two classes that used Generative AI in language education, while the other two classes served as the control group. Data analysis techniques included evaluating the students' written work, considering completeness, structure, and creativity. The results of the study show a significant improvement in the writing skills of students who received education with the utilization of Generative AI, demonstrating a substantial enhancement in the completeness, structure, and creativity of their writing compared to the control group. In conclusion, the use of Generative AI in language education for primary school students represents an innovative approach that can significantly enhance their writing skills. The findings of this research provide concrete evidence that Generative AI technology holds great potential for enriching the language learning experience and writing skills of primary school students. Suggestions for further research include the development of more specific and contextual teaching strategies, as well as expanding the range of subjects that can benefit from Generative AI. In this rapidly evolving technological era, further research on the use of AI in primary education will contribute to creating a more innovative learning environment that supports the development of students' language skills.

Abstract

This study is explore and analyze the level of elementary school students' independence in accordance with the Pancasila student profile through the Project Based Learning approach. The research objective is to understand the extent to which the implementation of Project Based Learning can enhance students' independence in understanding the values of Pancasila. The research method involves the population of elementary school students and purposive sampling. Data analysis techniques include qualitative and quantitative analysis. The research results indicate an improvement in students' independence in understanding and applying the values of Pancasila through the implementation of Project Based Learning. The conclusion of this study is that Project Based Learning is an effective approach to enhance students' independence in understanding and embodying the values of Pancasila in elementary school. Recommendations for future research include deepening the study by involving more variables and expanding the research scope to various elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Picture and picture learning model in improving science learning outcomes at SDN Inpres Kawae. The methodology employed was a quasi-experimental design with a subject group of 13 fifth-grade students, comprising 1 male and 12 female students. Data were collected using a test instrument to measure learning outcomes before and after the implementation of the Picture and picture learning model. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes. Before the implementation of the model, no students achieved the very high category (scores 76-100) on the pretest. However, after implementation, 7 students (about 45% of the total sample) reached the very high category on the posttest. This demonstrates that the Picture and picture learning model is effective in enhancing the effectiveness of science learning outcomes at SDN Inpres Kawae

Abstract

This study aimed to enhance the motivation to learn Science through the application of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model among fifth-grade students at SDN Inpres Pandai. The research methodology employed was classroom action research, involving 20 students as research subjects. The NHT model was implemented through several steps: dividing students into small groups based on numbers, posing questions to students with the same number in each group according to the current study material, collaborating within groups to find answers, and selecting one number from each group to present their group's answer. The research findings indicated an increase in learning motivation from 53.5% in the first cycle to 75.14% in the second cycle, marking an improvement of 21.64%. Furthermore, there was an enhancement in the completeness of learning outcomes from 60% in the first cycle (with a pretest of 0% and a posttest of 60%) to 80% in the second cycle (with a pretest of 40% and a posttest of 80%), reflecting a 20% increase. In conclusion, the use of the NHT model successfully increased both the motivation to learn and the completeness of science learning outcomes among fifth-grade students at SDN Inpres Pandai

Abstract

In the current educational context, the effectiveness of inclusive classroom management in improving student learning achievement in elementary schools has become an urgent topic for research. This study aims to analyze the influence of inclusive classroom management on student learning achievement, considering variables such as adaptive teaching strategies, support for the learning environment, and dynamics of student interaction. Using quantitative methods with a survey research design, this study involved a sample of 40 elementary school students from the city of Bima, selected through purposive sampling technique, considering the specific characteristics of the population studied. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics and linear regression tests to determine the impact of inclusive classroom management on learning achievement. The results show a significant positive effect of inclusive classroom management on student learning achievement, reaffirming the importance of adapting teaching strategies and creating a supportive learning environment in inclusive classrooms. This conclusion supports the argument that effective inclusive classroom management practices are essential for improving student learning outcomes. Based on these findings, this study recommends enhancing teacher capacity through continuous professional training in inclusive classroom management and the development of a more inclusive curriculum to support the learning success of all students.
