Abstract

This study aimed to improve the quality of instructional implementation through academic supervision at TK Pertiwi Dinas P dan K Wonosobo academic year. The research employed a School Action Research design consisting of two cycles, with each cycle involving planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of the study were two kindergarten teachers. Data were collected through classroom observations, supervision instruments, and reflective discussions. The findings revealed that academic supervision significantly improved teacher performance in implementing learning activities. In the pre-cycle stage, teachers’ performance was still categorized as moderate and adequate, with scores of 65 and 75. Following the implementation of academic supervision in Cycle I, teacher performance improved, with scores increasing to 75 and 80. Further improvement was observed in Cycle II, where both teachers achieved good performance categories with scores of 85 and 87. The improvement was attributed to systematic supervision activities, including classroom observation, professional guidance, constructive feedback, motivation, and reflective evaluation. The study also found that increased teacher motivation contributed positively to instructional effectiveness, confidence, and commitment to implementing lesson plans. These findings indicate that academic supervision is an effective strategy for enhancing teacher professionalism and improving the quality of learning implementation in early childhood education institutions. Therefore, school principals are encouraged to conduct continuous academic supervision as part of sustainable teacher professional development programs to achieve better educational outcomes.

Abstract

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested Maidi in an operation related to alleged project fee collection and misappropriation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds. This study aims to comparatively analyze the framing of news coverage regarding the alleged corruption against Madiun Mayor Maidi in the online media Kompas.com and Sinergia Mediatama during January 2026. This study uses a qualitative descriptive-comparative approach using Robert N. Entman's (1993) framing analysis model, which consists of four elements: defining the problem, diagnosing the cause, making a moral judgment, and recommending a response. Data consisting of 20 news articles were collected through digital documentation and purposive sampling techniques, then analyzed using a framing coding instrument. The findings of this study indicate that Kompas.com constructed its coverage with a legalistic-structural framework: defining the case as systematic corruption, providing explicit personal causal attributions to Maidi, presenting condemnatory moral judgments, and recommending strict formal law enforcement. In contrast, Sinergia Mediatama developed a contextual-humanistic framework: defining the case through a local impact perspective, being more cautious in causal attribution, acknowledging Maidi's developmental contributions, and emphasizing the sustainability of local public services. These differences in framework reflect the influence of each media outlet's editorial position, geographic proximity, and audience orientation in constructing the reality of coverage of legal cases involving local officials.

Abstract

Advances in digital technology have had an impact on various aspects of life, including education. This study examines differences in students’ learning outcomes between the use of video tutorial and PowerPoint media in Microsoft Project learning at a vocational high school. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design was applied, involving two intact classes consisting of 30 students in each group. Data were collected through pretests, posttests, and student response questionnaires, and analyzed using descriptive statistics and a Mann-Whitney U test. The results show that the video tutorial group obtained a higher mean score (82.53) compared to the PowerPoint group (71.27). The hypothesis test also indicated a significant difference between the two groups with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05). In addition, students gave very positive responses to the video tutorial media, with a percentage of 84.6%. These findings indicate that different learning media are associated with different learning outcomes in Microsoft Project instruction.

Abstract

This study explores learning strategies for early childhood education in remote and coastal areas, focusing on how contextual, community-based, outdoor, and technology-supported approaches can improve the quality of learning for young children in geographically isolated regions. Using a qualitative literature review method, this research analyzes scholarly articles, journals, and academic publications related to early childhood education practices in rural, remote, and coastal contexts published between 2020 and 2025. The findings indicate that contextual and community-based learning strategies, which integrate local wisdom and involve active participation from families and community members, significantly enhance children’s engagement, cultural identity, and developmental outcomes. In addition, outdoor learning in natural coastal environments provides meaningful experiential learning opportunities that support cognitive, physical, and socio-emotional development while fostering environmental awareness. Furthermore, technology integration serves as a complementary strategy to overcome geographical barriers by improving access to learning resources and supporting teacher professional development, although challenges such as limited infrastructure and digital literacy remain. The study concludes that a blended approach combining local-context learning, nature-based education, and digital innovation is essential to ensuring equitable and high-quality early childhood education in remote and coastal areas, while also promoting sustainable educational development.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has transformed almost every aspect of human life, including the educational sector. This study aims to analyze the challenges and opportunities of Christian Religious Education (CRE) in the development of information technology and to examine how teachers optimize technology integration in learning among Grade IX students at SMP Negeri 8 Palangka Raya. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that the major challenges faced by Christian Religious Education include students’ excessive use of digital devices, exposure to online content that may contradict Christian values, disparities in teachers’ digital competencies, and limitations in technological infrastructure. Despite these challenges, information technology provides significant opportunities to enhance access to religious learning resources, improve student engagement through interactive multimedia, facilitate collaborative learning, and support spiritual formation through digital faith-based platforms. The study also found that teachers optimize technology use by integrating multimedia resources into instruction, utilizing digital communication platforms, promoting digital literacy and ethical technology use, and continuously improving their technological and pedagogical competencies. The study concludes that the effective implementation of Christian Religious Education in the digital era requires a balanced approach that embraces technological innovation while maintaining the core mission of nurturing students’ faith, character, moral values, and spiritual development.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has driven a transformation in the higher education system, particularly through the use of digital learning platforms as the primary medium in the teaching and learning process. The presence of digital learning platforms provides various conveniences for students in accessing materials, communicating with lecturers, and carrying out academic activities flexibly. However, student experiences in using these platforms are still diverse and influenced by various factors that require in-depth study. This study aims to explore students' experiences in using digital learning platforms in higher education and identify the benefits and challenges they face during the learning process. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of students who actively use digital learning platforms in their lectures. Informants were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The collected data were analyzed using thematic analysis through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was maintained through source triangulation, method triangulation, and member checking. The results show that digital learning platforms provide positive experiences in the form of easy access to learning materials, flexibility in time and place of study, and increased student independence in managing the learning process.
