Abstract

In the era of globalization and rapid technological advancement, children are increasingly exposed to various social influences that may affect their attitudes and character development. This study aims to analyze the collaborative strategies implemented by SD Negeri 1 Kwadungan Jurang and parents in strengthening students’ character education, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting their implementation. The study employed a qualitative case study approach involving the principal, teachers, parents, and students as research participants. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings reveal that collaborative strategies are implemented through continuous communication, parental involvement in school programs, collaborative monitoring of students’ behavior, role modeling by teachers and parents, and the integration of religious and cultural values into daily educational practices. These strategies contribute to the development of positive character traits, including discipline, honesty, responsibility, respect, and cooperation among students. The study also found that the implementation of collaboration is supported by strong commitment from stakeholders, effective communication, a positive school climate, and shared moral values. However, several challenges were identified, including limited parental availability, differences in parenting approaches, technological influences, and resource constraints. The study concludes that effective collaboration between schools and parents is essential for strengthening character education and creating a consistent learning environment that supports students’ moral and social development.

Abstract

Education plays an important role in improving the quality and integrity of individuals. Education is also a consciously designed and carried out effort to create a teaching and learning process and learning environment that allows students to actively develop their potential. This study aims to determine the mastery of science learning outcomes among fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 59 Lubuklinggau through the application of the Make a Match cooperative model using picture cards. The main problem in this study was the low student learning outcomes, with only 26.92% achieving the mastery score. The research method used was a quantitative pre-experimental approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 26 fifth-grade students. Data were collected through objective tests and analyzed using a one-sample t-test. The results showed an increase in the average score from 58,97 (pretest) to 74,36 (posttest). The hypothesis test obtained a calculated t-value (2.202) > t-table (1.708), thus concluding that the application of the Make a Match model using picture cards significantly improved the science learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 59 Lubuklinggau.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has transformed the educational landscape, requiring schools to adapt to increasingly complex demands for effectiveness, innovation, and competitiveness. This study aims to analyze the contribution of leadership, collaboration, and psychological well-being to teacher performance through work motivation among elementary school teachers at SD Negeri Tlogodalem in the digital era. The study employed a quantitative approach using an explanatory survey design involving all teachers as respondents through a census sampling technique. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire with a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results showed that leadership (β = 0.341; p < 0.001), collaboration (β = 0.296; p = 0.001), and psychological well-being (β = 0.412; p < 0.001) had significant positive effects on work motivation, explaining 72.4% of its variance (R² = 0.724). Furthermore, leadership (β = 0.254; p = 0.001), collaboration (β = 0.213; p = 0.003), psychological well-being (β = 0.318; p < 0.001), and work motivation (β = 0.402; p < 0.001) significantly influenced teacher performance, with the model explaining 78.1% of the variance in performance (R² = 0.781). Mediation analysis revealed that work motivation significantly mediated the relationships between leadership, collaboration, psychological well-being, and teacher performance. Among all predictors, psychological well-being emerged as the strongest factor affecting both work motivation and teacher performance. The findings suggest that enhancing teacher performance in the digital era requires an integrated strategy that strengthens effective leadership, promotes collaborative professional cultures, and supports teachers’ psychological well-being to foster higher work motivation and sustainable educational excellence.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of participative leadership, organizational commitment, and organizational culture on teacher retention intention in private senior high schools in Sidoarjo District. The novelty of this research lies in the integrated analysis of these three organizational factors within the context of private secondary education, where empirical studies remain limited. A quantitative approach with a causal associative design was employed involving 169 teachers from six private senior high schools selected through total sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed through descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, multiple linear regression, and bootstrap-based hypothesis testing. The results indicate that participative leadership (p = 0.012), organizational commitment (p = 0.001), and organizational culture (p = 0.008) each have a positive and significant effect on teacher retention intention. Simultaneously, the three variables significantly influence teacher retention intention, explaining 73.8% of its variance. These findings highlight the importance of leadership and organizational factors in strengthening teacher retention in private schools.

Abstract

Living away from home often presents students with challenges in adapting to a new environment, which can potentially lead to emotional loneliness. This associative quantitative study aims to empirically examine the contribution of peer social support in reducing this condition. Using total sampling, all 101 eighth-semester students in the Guidance and Counseling program at PGRI University of Semarang for the 2025/2026 academic year were included as both the population and the sample. Data were collected using the Peer Social Support Scale (α = 0.910) and the Emotional Loneliness Scale (α = 0.889), which were then analyzed using Pearson’s product-moment correlation test. The results of the analysis showed a strong and significant negative relationship between the two variables (r = -0.606; p < 0.001). These findings confirm that an increase in peer support is directly proportional to a decrease in emotional loneliness, with the social support variable accounting for 36.7% of the variance in emotional loneliness.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education learning needs to be supported by the use of media that can attract students' attention and suit their learning needs. One of the media that can be utilized is animated video because it is able to present material more interestingly through a combination of images, sound, text, and animation. This study aims to determine the effect of using animated video media on students' learning interest in Islamic Religious Education subjects at SD Negeri 100202 Napa. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method and a Pre-Experimental Design type One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research sample consisted of 30 sixth grade students. The research data were obtained through a learning interest questionnaire given before and after the use of animated video media. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including the Liliefors normality test and the paired sample t-test at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that the average student learning interest increased from 88.00 in the pretest to 94.73 in the posttest with a difference of 6.73 points. The hypothesis test results obtained a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating that animated video media significantly influenced students' learning interest. Therefore, animated video media can be used as an effective alternative learning medium to increase student interest in Islamic Religious Education (ISE) in elementary schools.
