Abstract

The primary objectives of this research are to assess the religiosity of female students in the Quran memorization program at Pondok Pesantren Muntasyirul Ulum and to evaluate the improvement of their psychological well-being. This study seeks to fill the gap in existing literature by providing empirical evidence on how religious practices, specifically Quran memorization, influence the mental health of students in a pesantren setting. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive method, the research involved documentation, interviews, and observations with 31 selected female students. Data analysis was conducted through condensation, presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification, with data validity strengthened through triangulation of techniques and sources. The findings indicate that students exhibit high levels of religiosity across five key dimensions: belief, practice, knowledge, experience, and consequences. Additionally, significant improvements were noted in various aspects of psychological well-being, including self-acceptance, positive relations, autonomy, environmental mastery, purpose in life, and personal growth. This research underscores the integral role of a supportive religious environment in fostering both spiritual and psychological well-being, offering valuable insights for the development of educational practices that holistically address the needs of students. The study contributes to the broader understanding of how religious education can enhance mental health and provides a foundation for future research in similar educational contexts.

This study aims to explore and analyze the application of collaborative academic supervision carried out by the head of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 2 West Bandung. Academic supervision is an important aspect in ensuring the quality of education and increasing teacher professionalism. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that madrasa heads implement various supervision strategies, including careful supervision planning, systematic implementation of supervision, as well as continuous evaluation and follow-up. Supporting factors in academic supervision include the competency of the madrasa head, teamwork, and support from related educational institutions. However, this research also identified several obstacles, such as limited time, high workload, and lack of resources. The recommendations of this research are the need to increase training and professional development for madrasa heads as well as increase support from the government and educational institutions to optimize academic supervision. It is hoped that this research can contribute to the development of more effective academic supervision practices in madrasah.

Abstract

The cultivation of noble character during the elementary school years is an appropriate time for character development. At this stage, children begin to explore their external environment, which exposes them to various influences, including negative ones. Without proper guidance and direction, these influences may lead to moral degradation. Several cases were reported at MIN 1 Pasaman Barat regarding moral issues among students before the implementation of character development activities. These issues included lack of discipline in adhering to school rules, low motivation and academic performance, inappropriate speech, disobedience toward teachers, and rough behavior toward peers. These challenges highlight the need for character-building efforts among students at MIN 1 Pasaman Barat. This study aims to investigate the urgency, outcomes, and application of Asmaul Husna recitation practices in fostering noble character development at MIN 1 Pasaman Barat. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed in this research. Data collection methods included observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using critical analysis techniques. The research findings indicate that the practice of reciting Asmaul Husna contributes significantly to the cultivation of noble character values in students’ daily behavior. At MIN 1 Pasaman Barat, this activity is considered an act of worship for every Muslim, bringing blessings, opening students' hearts during the learning process to facilitate the acceptance of truth, and improving their fluency in reciting Asmaul Husna. Additionally, it encourages the practice of the 99 names of Allah (Asmaul Husna) in daily life.

Abstract

This paper is motivated by the phenomenon of educators or policy holders who are dragged into the whirlwind of narrow and rigid transnational exclusive ideologies in the midst of the rampant growth of foreign educational institutions that are not rooted in Indonesian traditions as brought by transnational Islamic schools. In this case, the methodology of pesantren with its multicultural value is believed to be able to revitalize homogeneous mentality in madrasah institutions to produce friendly individuals and recognize diversity. Departing from this anxiety, this paper discusses three questions, first, what are the symbols and values in multiculturalism pesantren. Second, what is the urgency of the continuity of instilling the value of multiculturalism in Islamic boarding schools for madrasas. Third, what is the importance of revitalizing the values of multiculturalism of pesantren for madrassas in Indonesia. This research is a qualitative research with library research data collection techniques. The collected data will be reduced as needed and analyzed to obtain conclusions that are in accordance with the problems raised. The results of this research are first, multiculturalism pesantren must fulfill several elements such as kyai, santri, dormitory or cottage, mosque, yellow book and scientific transfer as the parent of Islamic education. Second, madrasas that have been the target of radicalism are very urgent to continue the value of multiculturalism as its parent, so that it is maintained from tranquility and peace and does not fall into modernity. Third, the revitalization of the values of multiculturalism in madrassas is important because the majority of pesantren are dominated by madrasah residents. The goal is to foster a sense of empathy and the value of equality in human relations, so that radicalism values can be overcome.
