Abstract

Understanding the lecturer’s and educational staff's main tasks and functions is necessary. Because tertiary institutions as providers of higher education must appear as leaders who can be relied upon in the development of progress and civilization of the nation. This service aims to make guidelines for the duties and functions of lecturers and educational staff at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Musamus University, and socialize them. stages of activity namely; (1) search for literature; (2) Carry out Focus Group Discussion (FGD); (3) Design a Manual; (4) Conduct socialization related to the Manual of Main Duties and Functions for Lecturers and Education Staff at FISIP Musamus University; (5) Evaluation of activity results. From the results of the evaluation, it can be concluded that the guidelines for the Main Duties and Functions of Lecturers and Education Personnel benefit participants with a percentage level of 80% who understand and know about their respective main tasks and functions.

Abstract

The change in the learning process during the pandemic from face-to-face to online (online) is a challenge to use the right learning media, namely e-modules. This socialization activity for the introduction of the coastal ecosystem e-module will be held in November 2021 at the Wini Fisheries Vocational School. This service was attended by 13 students of class XI Freshwater Fisheries Agribusiness. This socialization activity begins with an introduction to the e-module followed by practical use. Students who take part in this socialization already know and are able to use this e-module and give a positive response to this activity

Abstract

Jackfruit is a fruit that can be found easily in the village of Lawang Agung, Air Periukan District, Seluma Regency, Bengkulu Province. This research was conducted with the aim of fulfilling the assignment of a Real Work Lecture organized by the University of Bengkulu. With this program, it is hoped that it can help the natural resources in the village of Lawang Agung, Air Periukan District, Seluma Regency, Bengkulu Province. This is because the previous village program distributed jackfruit tree seeds to the local community. Jackfruit can be said to be an easy thing to find in the village of Lawang Agung. Therefore, it makes researchers move to carry out a work program with jackfruit as raw material. This was quite successfully done, the community accepted it positively because previously no one had thought of making jackfruit into a sweet. With this research, the people of Lawang Agung village can enjoy jackfruit in different ways and can be stored for a long time. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods which use interview, observation and documentation techniques.

Abstract

one of the vulnerable groups of people who are socially marginalized, health and economic disparities. This group has a higher probability of economic deprivation than non-disabled people so that these shocks affect the productivity and employment of persons with disabilities. Barriers to mobility and accessibility are the main factors in carrying out economic activities. the special needs experienced by this group are seen as an obstacle both in terms of work effectiveness and efficiency making it difficult to participate in the formal labor market. The HWDI Cooperative is still a business group (pre-cooperative) with all-business cooperative types. The high motivation of the management has not been followed by the motivation of other HWDI members so that the business being carried out is still very small with various other obstacles encountered in managing the cooperative. The low motivation of members (both cooperative members and non-cooperative HWDI members) is due to the lack of understanding and knowledge about cooperatives. Therefore the first step taken is to increase cooperative literacy, an understanding of the importance of cooperatives will increase the motivation of members to join, be involved and actively participate in developing cooperative businesses.

Abstract

Health is a precious basic human right. Prevention is better than cure, the jargon is common among the public. However, in its implementation, this is difficult to apply due to various factors, one of which is limited knowledge about how to prevent disease. People in Kandang Limun Village in Bengkulu City are included in the level of urban communities that are identical to living in dense settlements and relatively large populations with diverse characteristics. One of the problems faced by urban residents is the spread of infection from microorganisms (germs and viruses) originating from the surface of objects such as floors, tables, chairs, etc. The use of disinfectants is one solution to overcome these problems. The limited household budget to provide specially purchased disinfectants can be overcome by making their own disinfectants from materials at home.

Abstract

Indonesia's most potential is as a maritime country and is known as a maritime country. So that maritime, marine, beach and coastal development is used as superior tourism. As in Probolinggo City is an area that has a maritime area. Probolinggo City has Tanjung Copper Port and Mayangan Beach Fishing Port with superior potential for various marine and fishery products. organizing Empowerment to Increase Port Tourism Awareness in the Probolinggo City Port Complex with the Concept of Blue Economy and Oriented to Local Potential aimed at Probolinggo City students. So that as part of academics and the millennial generation, they are more sensitive to the environment, especially to the existence of local tourism and are active in recognizing the relevance of tourism development in the Probolinggo City Complex with the concept of blue economy and optimizing local potential. This activity was held in the form of empowerment with pre-test activities, lectures accompanied by discussions, post tests, and post-activity e-book distribution. It is known that initially many partners did not know and lacked information related to Port Tourism Awareness with the Concept of Blue Economy and Oriented to Local Potential changed after the activity was held. As a result, all partners understand Port Tourism Awareness with the Concept of Blue Economy and Oriented to Local Potential in the Probolinggo City Port Complex.

Abstract

People are increasingly using various drugs for health purposes, influenced by factors like disease prevalence, expanded medication options, and improved access through national health insurance. These developments have both positive and negative effects. On the positive side, more people are taking better care of their health by seeking medical attention. However, the negative consequence of increased drug use includes potential errors in usage and disposal due to insufficient public education. These errors can harm individuals and the environment. Community service in Padukuhan Ngentak, Sumberagung, Jetis, Bantul, Yogyakarta, focuses on educating residents about Dagusibu (Get-Use-Save-Dispose). It employs education, counseling, discussions, and material reviews. The goal is to enhance public knowledge of Dagusibu to ensure proper medication acquisition, usage, and storage, preventing environmental harm from improper drug waste disposal. The process involves three phases: pretest, lecture-based information delivery, and postest evaluation. Community service activities can run smoothly and the community follows enthusiastically. The number of residents who participated in this activity was 33 people. Based on the assessment of the level of pretest and postest knowledge using questionnaires, it showed an increase in the good category by 78.79%. These results show an increase in citizen knowledge and this is expected to have an impact on public health.

Abstract

Mathematics learning carried out at SMP Kristen Kefamenanu refers to a teacher-centered learning system. Microsoft Excel is one application that can be used as a medium for learning mathematics to make it easier for students to solve problems, especially those related to the presentation of graphs. SMP Kristen Kefamenanu has a Computer Laboratory which also has a Microsoft Excel application. The purpose of this service is to provide Charting training using Microsoft Excel as a means of mathematics learning tool to students in SMP Kristen Kefamenanu. The activity was carried out for two days, and during the course of the activity students showed enthusiasm and were able to follow directions during the activity. The results of feedback given by students on the answers to the satisfaction questionnaire showed that students gave categories of strongly agree and agree on 18 questions. This shows that the existence of PKM activities that have been carried out can help students better understand mathematics lessons delivered at school, as well as increase knowledge for students in using Microsoft Excel as a tool for mathematics learning.

Abstract

Tanjungrejo is located in the Sukun, Malang City, East Java. Some of the jobs of the people on Tanjung Putra Yudha 2 Street, Sukun, Malang City are scavengers and pedicab drivers. Since late 2019 there has been a COVID-19 pandemic caused by the SARS CoV-2 virus, which has caused more than 2.33 million deaths worldwide. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused family food availability to be insufficient and reduced family food, this also affects the economy in the form of a decrease in income but has a high enough expenditure every month to meet family food needs. Hydroponics is a technology used on critical land so that it can remain productive. Hydroponic systems can be used on plants that have the properties to utilize nutrients in water, examples of suitable vegetables include mustard greens, spinach, and kale. The hydroponic system can provide economic benefits from the harvest that can be sold or fulfill daily needs. This training was conducted in several stages, including pretest assessment, introduction to the hydroponic system, preparation of tools and materials, workmanship, mentoring, and evaluation in the form of a post-test. The results of the questionnaire filling were analyzed using the one group pretest-posttest method and obtained an average score of 30.7 pretest and 96.7 posttest. This shows that the training significantly increased participants' knowledge regarding the benefits of hydroponic systems.
