Abstract

The use of limestone processing registers by speech communities in Kebumen Regency, Central Java shows symptoms of language variation. The register serves to support social interaction with fellow professions. The purpose of this research is to find out the register of limestone processing and describe the form or characteristics of the register used by workers in carrying out their activities. Data collection was carried out using the introspection method, namely the author as part of the speaker. Observations of limestone processing activities and interviews with workers were conducted to validate the data. The data that has been collected is analyzed with sociolinguistic theory in terms of its form. From the results of data analysis, it was found that the limestone processing register has distinctive terms that are only understood by fellow users. The nouns and verbs in the limestone processing register have uniqueness such as word formation in the form of onomatopoeia and sound changes. The vocabulary in this register has meanings and functions that are specifically related to limestone processing activities. Keywords: register, limestone processing, form, meaning

Abstract

The aims of this research are: 1). To explain the influence of Indonesian language learning on students' language politeness. 2) To explain how much Indonesian language learning affects students' language politeness. The population of this study were class XI students of YPKPM Ambon Christian High School. The sample for this research was class XI students consisting of 35 students. The instruments used in this research were an Indonesian language learning questionnaire and a student language politeness questionnaire. Data analysis uses a simple linear regression test which includes a T test using the Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) 18.0 for Windows. From the results of the research and discussion, it can be concluded that 1). The Indonesian language learning included in this research was proven to have a significant influence on the language politeness of class X1 students at Christian High School YPKPM Ambon 2). In this study, it was found that the variation in language politeness explained by Indonesian language learning was 67.9%, while 32.1% was explained by other variables not analyzed in the model. Abstract

In today's educational landscape, digital learning has emerged as a new learning model. Students prefer videos on YouTube and other technology-enabled language learning platforms. YouTube, as one of the most prominent social media platforms in today's globe, also has an impact on education. Technology that is integrated into students' life can give valuable input, particularly in enabling and strengthening English language knowledge and skills. This article presents qualitative study on students' perspectives of how learning English through YouTube is good and helps them learn English. This study included students from SMP 4 Parepare who utilized YouTube as an English learning medium, and data was gathered through interviews using a case study design. The findings of this study revealed that all students have numerous advantages in improving their English language skills, and that it is easily accessible on practically every student's device and can be utilized in any setting to assist and motivate them to learn English. Students only have troubles if their internet connection is poor. All pupils expressed satisfaction with the use of the YouTube application to learn English.Keywords: language learning, students’ perception, gadget, social media

Abstract

The lack of knowledge, awareness and attitudes is an indicator of weakening multiculturalism. If allowed to drag on, it can trigger both vertical and horizontal conflicts in Indonesia. Ambon State Polytechnic students are a multicultural society, this can be seen from the diversity of ethnicity, religion, race and culture of the student community. If this diversity is not accepted or implemented properly, it can result in conflicts related to SARA, and even lead to racism between peers or groups among Ambon State Polytechnic students. This research aims to find out how the practice of multiculturalism towards multicultural communities at the Ambon State Polytechnic. The method approach in this research is mixing methods which are carried out using qualitative methods (direct interviews) and quantitative methods (numbers). The results of the research showed that the level of understanding of Ambon State Polytechnic students was around 53% of students VERY UNDERSTANDING the meaning and position of students and around 47% UNDERSTANDING this. This is reinforced by the results of interviews. Furthermore, student attitudes towards diversity at Polnam showed VERY GOOD 58%; GOOD 22%; and PRETTY GOOD 20%. This is also confirmed by the results of interviews from the 5th. And if we look at the implementation of multiculturalism at POLNAM, 93% of POLNAM students have practiced multiculturalism, while around 7% of students have not implemented a multiculturalism attitude.Keywords: conflict, multicultural society, multiculturalism

Abstract

Tulisan ini mengungkapkan pelayanan diakonia gereja. Berangkat dari kegelisahan penulis mengenai kemiskinan dan tanggun jawab gereja. Gereja merupakan persekutuan orang percaya kepada Tuhan Yesus Kristus atau wadah persekutuan orang yang telah menjadi murid Yesus dan mengikuti pola hidup-Nya. Dalam gereja tersebut terdapat tiga panggilan gereja dimana salah satu panggilannya adalah diakonia. Penelitian ini menjelaskan tentang Diakonia dari studi literatur yang memaparkan pengertian diakonia dan kegunaan dari diakonia serta dampaknya bagi jemaat. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur, Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder yang berupa hasil-hasil penelitian seperti buku, jurnal, artikel dan sumber lain yang relevan. Hasil dari penelitian ini bahwa diakonia memiliki peranan penting dalam bergereja dimana kebutuhan orang miskin, janda, yatim piatu menjadi tugas dan bagian gereja untuk memperhatikannya serta gereja bertugas memberdayakan umat untuk bangkit melawan kemiskinan.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and determine the feasibility of E-Modules in ICT (Information and Communication Technology) subjects in class VII UPT SMP Negeri 4 Parepare. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D), which is one of the development methods used to produce products or test the feasibility of the product. The development model in this research is the 4D (Four-D) model which consists of 4 development stages including Definition, Planning, Development and Dissemination. This development research used a trial sample of 32 active students in class VII.3. The data analysis technique used is Descriptive Statistics technique. In the feasibility trial, material experts got a result of 95% in the "Very Feasible" category. Meanwhile, in the feasibility test, media experts got a result of 94% in the "Very Feasible" category. Then, in the trial, respondents or students got a result of 88% and entered the "Very Eligible" category. Therefore, the E-Module developed is suitable for use as a support for the learning process in ICT subjects in Class VII UPT SMP Negeri 4 Parepare.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji sejarah politik dalam rentang waktu 1602-1947, dengan fokus pada perjuangan panjang bangsa indonesia untuk mencapai kemerdekaan. Kajian ini didasarkan pada arsip Gahetna, yang diharapkan dapat memberikan perspektif baru dan menarik tentang perjalanan sejarah politik indonesia. Artikel ini membahas berbagai peristiwa penting Sejarah politik Indonesia, termasuk era kolonial Belanda, kebangkitan pergerakan nasional, perjuangan kemerdekaan dan proklamasi kemerdekaan dan awal kemerdekaan. Melalui kajian ini, artikel ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gamparan umum tentang sejarah politik indonesia dalam rentang waktu 1602-1947, mengidentufukasi faktor-faktor yang mendorong perjuangan kemerdekaan, menganalisis strategi dan taktik yang digunakan oleh para pejuang. Artikel Dipercaya bahwa hal ini akan meningkatkan pemahaman mendalam mengenai sejarah politik Indonesia dan konflik panjang Indonesia dan konflik untuk mencapai keselamatan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana poda na lima dapat diadaptasi dalam konteks politik, khususnya dalam Pilkada Serentak 2024 pada daerah tapanuli bagian selatan di Provinsi Sumatera Utara yakni Padangsidimpuan, Tapanuli Selatan, Mandailing Natal, Padang Lawas, dan Padang Lawas Utara. Suku Angkola-Mandailing, yang tersebar lima daerah tersebut memiliki kearifan lokal yang dikenal dengan poda na lima, sebuah falsafah hidup yang mencakup lima nasihat utama. Poda na lima terdiri dari: paias rohamu (bersihkan jiwamu), paias pamatangmu (bersihkan tubuhmu), paias parabitonmu (bersihkan pakaianmu), paias bagasmu (bersihkan rumahmu), dan paias pakaranganmu (bersihkan lingkunganmu). Nilai-nilai ini telah lama menjadi pedoman dalam kehidupan sosial masyarakat Angkola-Mandailing. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Dengan mengeksplorasi nilai-nilai poda na lima dari perspektif politik, penelitian ini menawarkan konsep bahwa falsafah tersebut dapat menjadi prinsip dasar pembangunan politik yang menekankan etika, integritas, dan tanggung jawab.

Abstract

This research, explores the interaction between two dominant leadership styles—transactional and transformational leadership—in modern organizational contexts. The study examines the affinities where these styles complement each other and the adversities that arise from their inherent differences. Through a detailed analysis of existing literature, this research highlights how transactional leadership is effective in ensuring operational stability and short-term goal attainment, while transformational leadership drives innovation, employee engagement, and long-term organizational change. The findings suggest that a synergistic approach, combining both leadership styles, can yield optimal results in complex environments. However, challenges arise when leaders switch between these contrasting approaches, leading to potential conflicts in motivation and employee satisfaction. This research concludes that leaders who can navigate both styles with flexibility are better equipped to meet the demands of contemporary organizations. The study offers insights into leadership development, emphasizing the need for adaptability in managing both structured tasks and inspiring change

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan pengaruh usia guru terhadap ketrampilan dasar. Studi ini termasuk dalam kategori penelitian deskriptif yang menggunakan metode survei. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari guru dari jenjang TK, SD, SMP, dan SMA. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan melalui teknik purposive sampling, yang berarti pengambilan sampel berdasarkan kriteria yang ditetapkan. Kuesioner, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi adalah metode pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa data terdistribusi normal, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,30 di atas 0,05. Selanjutnya, berdasarkan hasil uji linearitas, diperoleh nilai sig deviasi dari linearitas sebesar 0,152 di atas 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan linear antara usia dan keterampilan menjelaskan. Berdasarkan hasil uji regresi, diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,326 di atas 0,05, yang menunjukkan bahwa data terdistribusi normal.
