Abstract

Pendidikan vokasi di SMK menekankan keseimbangan antara kompetensi teoritis dan keterampilan, namun dalam praktiknya sering ditemukan perbedaan antara hasil belajar teori dan hasil belajar praktik, terutama pada mata pelajaran perpajakan. Tujuan dilaksanakannya penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis perbedaan hasil belajar teori dan hasil belajar praktik pada mata pelajaran di SMK. Pendekatan kuantitatif komparatif diimplementasikan dengan teknik total sampling pada 36 siswa kelas XI AKL 4 SMK Negeri 12 Malang. Instrumen penelitian berupa nilai penilaian harian teori (pilihan ganda) dan nilai praktik (studi kasus perhitungan PPh Pasal 21 Pengujian dilakukan melalui uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk dan uji beda paired sample t-test melalui penggunaan SPSS. Hasil penelitian mendapati bahwasanya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar teori dan hasil belajar praktik (sig. 0,004 < 0,05), di mana rata-rata hasil belajar praktik (86,69) lebih tinggi dibandingkan hasil belajar teori (80,22). Temuan ini menunjukkan adanya perbedaan capaian hasil belajar teori dan praktik, namun perbedaan tersebut perlu diinterpretasikan dengan mempertimbangkan perbedaan karakteristik instrument penilaian yang digunakan. Oleh karena itu, pembelajaran perpajakan perlu dirancang secara integrative dengan menyeimbangkan aspek teori dan praktik untuk meningkatkan kompetensi lulusan sesuai kebutuhan dunia kerja.

Abstract

Video is one of the most commonly used teaching methods by educators. Spreadsheet instruction often faces challenges because teachers frequently explain formulas too quickly, making it difficult for some students to follow instructions and understand the formulas correctly. Student learning outcomes suffer as a result. Therefore, the objective of this study is to measure the effectiveness of using video as a teaching tool in influencing student learning outcomes at a vocational high school specializing in accounting. The uniqueness of this research approach lies in the use of video in spreadsheet calculation lessons, which provides students with the opportunity to review learning materials independently according to their needs. This study adopts a quantitative method and is based on a pretest-posttest design within a single group. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality tests, and paired t-tests. Data were collected through pretest and posttest scores from 34 students in Class X AK 3 at SMK Negeri 1 Turen. The research findings show that posttest scores increased from an average of 34.03 to 77.09. The results of the hypothesis testing indicate a significant difference in student performance based on the use of video-based learning materials. This study reveals that video-based learning materials can improve students’ learning outcomes in mastering spreadsheet applications. This study offers valuable contributions, both theoretically and practically, to teachers and schools in designing innovative technology-based learning materials that can help improve students’ understanding and learning outcomes.
