Abstract

Family social support is a situation that provides benefits to individuals, obtained from a reliable family. Through this support, individuals feel confident that there are family members who care, love and appreciate them. Learning motivation can be interpreted as mental effort in the learning process, using strategies that support the teaching and learning interaction process, asking and practicing questions in the learning context, and considering the level of understanding and ability to relate new material to previous material. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between family social support and the learning motivation of overseas students in Jakarta. Is there a relationship between family social support and the learning motivation of overseas students in Jakarta? The Student Social Support Scale family social support measuring tool was compiled by Malecki and Elliot (1999) and adapted by Elyana (2016) based on aspects of House theory (Smeet, 1994). The Motivated Strategic for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) learning motivation measuring tool was developed by Gracia & Pintrich (1996) and adapted by Elyana (2016) based on the theoretical aspects of Pintrich et al (2008). Based on data analysis using Pearson correlation, it was found that there was a relationship between family social support and learning motivation.

Abstract

The Palestine-Israel conflict is a global issue that attracts attention, including in Indonesia, and touches social, political, religious, and humanitarian aspects. Solidarity with Palestine in Indonesia is in line with the mandate of the 1945 Constitution which supports the independence of other nations and opposes colonialism. The conflict that has roots in the late 19th century, exacerbated by the Balfour Declaration and subsequent wars, has led to human rights violations and humanitarian crises. Students are expected not only to follow the development of issues through social media, but also to be able to filter information critically. This study aims to analyze the perceptions of Jember University students towards the Palestinian conflict and the factors that influence their solidarity, as well as to examine the internalization of the concept of state defense in the form of solidarity with international humanitarian issues. This research uses a mixed methods approach, combining quantitative methods through the distribution of questionnaires and qualitative methods through in-depth interviews with active students of the University of Jember.

Abstract

Stock price forecasting has become one of the important areas after the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to compare the accuracy of forecasting the closing price of Zoom Video Communication, Inc. shares using the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) Backpropagation and Fuzzy Time Series (FTS) methods with the Chen, Cheng, and Marcov Chain models. The data used in this study includes the closing price of shares from the period July 5, 2019 to January 4, 2024. Each method is evaluated using accuracy metrics such as RMSE, MSE, and MAPE. The results of the analysis show that ANN has a lower error rate than the FTS model, especially in predicting the closing price of Zoom Video Communication, Inc. The ANN method has proven to be more reliable in providing more accurate predictions.

Abstract

Chi-square distribution represents a fundamental statistical concept with strategic importance across interdisciplinary scientific research, offering a sophisticated analytical instrument for exploring hidden patterns in categorical data and hypothesis testing. This comprehensive study examines the mathematical characteristics, statistical properties, and practical applications of chi-square distribution, highlighting its unique capability to capture variations and uncertainties in data with high precision. By investigating its theoretical complexity and methodological versatility, the research demonstrates how chi-square distribution serves as an intellectual tool enabling researchers to systematically explore empirical realities across diverse fields such as psychology, sociology, medicine, and engineering, providing a robust framework for statistical inference and scientific knowledge generation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan ejaan bahasa Indonesia yang baku dalam interaksi sehari-hari di lingkungan masyarakat. Dengan menggunakan metode observasi dan wawancara terhadap 150 responden dari berbagai kalangan, penelitian ini memulai bagaimana ejaan baku dipraktikkan dalam percakapan lisan, surat-menyurat, serta dokumen resmi di komunitas lokal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun masyarakat mengenal aturan ejaan yang baku, penerapannya dalam komunikasi lisan sangat minim, terutama pada kalangan masyarakat dengan tingkat pendidikan rendah hingga menengah. Sementara itu, penggunaan ejaan yang baku lebih terlihat dalam dokumen resmi, namun masih ada kesalahan yang cukup sering ditemukan. Faktor-faktor seperti pendidikan, kebiasaan berbahasa, dan lingkungan sosial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keteguhan penerapan etika baku. Penelitian ini menyarankan adanya program literasi bahasa di tingkat komunitas untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan penerapan ejaan yang benar.

Abstract

Disasters are complex phenomena that significantly affect social, economic and environmental order. The dynamics of climate change, population growth and ecosystem transformation have increased the frequency and intensity of disasters in various parts of the world. This condition demands the development of a comprehensive approach to disaster management that is not merely reactive, but proactive and sustainable. This research examines a comprehensive approach to sustainable disaster management, focusing on integrative mitigation and adaptation strategies. The aim is to analyze a disaster management policy model that is able to create community resilience through a systemic and sustainable approach. The research methodology uses mixed methods by combining qualitative and quantitative approaches through literature studies, policy analysis, and field research in disaster-prone areas. The research conceptual framework is based on the four main dimensions of disaster management: prevention, preparedness, response and post-disaster recovery. The analysis focused on identifying critical factors that affect the effectiveness of disaster management at various levels. The findings confirm that sustainable disaster management requires a proactive approach, not just a reactive response. Mitigation strategies should be locality risk-based and consider the complexity of social-ecological dynamics. The theoretical implications of the research contribute to the development of a new paradigm of disaster management that is holistic, integrative and sustainable. A systemic approach is key in building community resilience. The originality of the research lies in the comprehensive approach that views disaster management as a dynamic system that requires continuous adaptation.

Abstract

Educational institutions must create a management information system that can support a range of operational and managerial tasks in order to raise the caliber of their services. The purpose of this study is to examine how the introduction of digital report cards has affected the standard of instruction at MAN 2 Kota Tangerang. Data was gathered using qualitative research methods, including documentation, interviews, and observation. According to the study's findings, implementing digital report cards can improve the effectiveness of managing student data, but there are drawbacks as well, including the requirement for continuous support, resistance to change, and technical limitations. This study also emphasizes the significance of parents' use of digital report cards and how it affects their participation in their children's education.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Management comes from the word to mange which means to manage. Management is carried out through a process and is managed based on the sequence and functions of management itself. Educational facilities and infrastructure are one of the important and main resources in supporting the learning process in schools, for that it is necessary to improve their utilization and management, so that the expected goals can be achieved. Educational facilities are one of the determining factors for the success of education. The completeness and availability of educational facilities in schools greatly affect the effectiveness and smoothness of learning in the classroom. Facilities are tools or objects that move to support effective and efficient learning activities in order to achieve educational goals, for example, notebooks, bulletin boards, student worksheets, computers, teaching aids, sports equipment, and practical equipment. While infrastructure is a tool or object that cannot move to support effective and efficient learning activities in order to achieve educational goals, for example, classrooms, teachers' rooms, administration rooms, principal's rooms, health facilities, canteens, fields, libraries, prayer rooms/places of worship, warehouses, halls, laboratories. School equipment management can be defined as a process of cooperation in utilizing all educational equipment effectively and efficiently. In essence, the management of educational facilities and infrastructure in schools is a process of utilizing all facilities and infrastructure owned by the school. All school facilities or infrastructure must be managed properly so that the existence of these facilities and infrastructure can support the learning process and be used as needed, so that learning in the classroom can run smoothly and educational goals can be realized. Abstract

The aim of this article is to provide knowledge about the modernization of Islamic education in Minangkabau in the 20th century. The method of this article uses literary sources in the form of books dan journals. The article result in the conclusion that modernization of Islamic education in Minangkabau in the 20th century, especially the change from the traditional education system in surau to formal education in madrasas. Surau, as an Islamic educational institution that has long been rooted in the culture of the Minangkabau people. Islamic education began to experience significant changes. Surau, as a traditional Islamic educational institution, plays an important role in forming the religious and cultural identity of the Minangkabau people. However, along with the growing influence of modernization and Dutch colonial education policies, the need for more systematic formal education began to be felt. This encouraged a change from the community-based surau education pattern to a structured madrasah with an organized curriculum, combining religious and general lessons. This modernization of Islamic education also had wider implications for the religious and social identity of the Minangkabau people in the 20th century.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis alokasi anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Daerah (APBD) di tingkat kabupaten/kota di Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah untuk tahun 2024. Dengan menggunakan metode statistik, diperoleh rata-rata anggaran sebesar 1,625.02 miliar dengan simpangan baku 570,14 miliar, yang menunjukkan ketidakmerataan dalam distribusi anggaran. Kabupaten Barito Utara dan Kapuas memiliki anggaran yang jauh di atas rata-rata, sementara Kabupaten Sukamara berada di bawah rata-rata, yang berdampak pada kemampuan mereka dalam memenuhi kebutuhan dasar masyarakat. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pentingnya analisis potensi pendapatan daerah dan kebutuhan pembangunan, serta perlunya transparansi dalam pengelolaan anggaran untuk mencapai distribusi yang lebih adil dan efektif. Dengan pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang alokasi anggaran, diharapkan pemerintah daerah dapat merumuskan kebijakan yang mendukung pembangunan yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan.
