Abstract

This paper discusses a comparison of three curricula that have been and are being implemented in Indonesia, namely the KTSP Curriculum, the 2013 Curriculum, and the Merdeka Curriculum. The discussion and description are based on the theoretical framework of integrated learning models developed by Fogarty (1991) in which there are ten ways or models for planning integrated learning. The ten ways or models are: (1) fragmented, (2) connected, (3) nested, (4) sequenced, (5) shared, (6) webbed, (7) threaded, (8) integrated, (9) immersed, and (10) networked. The purpose of this research is to compare the characteristics and determine what curriculum is most suitable to be implemented in elementary schools. The research method used is library research or literature study by reviewing various literature relevant to our discussion. The results of the study show that the KTSP Curriculum applies the Fragmented learning model, while the 2013 Curriculum and the Merdeka Curriculum apply the integrated learning model. In a comparison of the three curricula regarding suitability for elementary school level learning, our group is of the opinion that the appropriate curriculum is Independent Curriculum.

Abstract

The reconstruction of the caliphate system has become a topic of debate among various Muslim communities, inspired by the past glory of Islam under this system. However, differing views on the concept of the caliphate have hindered reconstruction efforts. This study aims to explore the legal basis of the caliphate in the Qur'an and Islamic history using the maqâṣidi interpretation method and historical analysis. The findings reveal that the term "caliphate" is not explicitly mentioned in the Qur'an. Terms such as "khalâif," "khulafâ," and "khalîfah" more closely refer to the regeneration of communities or individuals as leaders without emphasizing a specific form of government. Moreover, the history of the caliphate indicates that the system lacks a standardized format that could serve as a model in the modern era. The researchers conclude that the caliphate is not the only way to uphold Islamic law; other forms of government that align with the context of the times can also be viable options.

Abstract

Fatwa DSN-MUI No. 117 of 2018 provides guidelines for financial services based on information technology that must comply with Sharia principles. This fatwa emphasizes that such services must be free from prohibited elements, including riba (interest), gharar (uncertainty), maysir (gambling), tadlis (fraud), dharar (harm), and zhulm (injustice). Additionally, financial services are required to uphold principles of fairness, transparency, and balance in various contracts, such as sales contracts (al-bai'), profit-sharing systems (mudharabah and musyarakah), and benevolent loans (qardh). An analysis of Fatwa DSN-MUI No. 117 of 2018 regarding information technology-based financial services reveals that Shopee Pinjam still exhibits several aspects that are not fully aligned with Sharia principles. One major issue identified is the presence of riba in its repayment mechanism, as well as potential injustice in financing agreements that tend to disadvantage users. The fatwa asserts that all technology-based services must adhere to Sharia principles, including fairness, transparency, and balance, which Shopee Pinjam has not yet fully implemented. This research highlights the importance of applying contracts that align with Sharia principles and utilizing supportive infrastructure to ensure that fintech services comply with Islamic norms.

Abstract

The Indonesian government launched the Pre-Employment Card Program in 2020 to respond to the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal of this policy is to reduce the unemployment rate and revive the national economy by offering financial assistance and skill training to individuals affected by layoffs. To assess the effectiveness of the program in this context from the agenda-setting stage to evaluation it is crucial to use the policy cycle theory. Although this program is intended to reach everyone, accessibility has become a major issue. This is especially true for people living in remote areas who do not have access to digital infrastructure. Although a fully digital approach ensures administrative efficiency, this approach has proven difficult for people who are less familiar with technology. Moreover, the targeting of beneficiaries poses a problem because most beneficiaries are formal workers, not the unemployed, who should be the main focus of the program. Although this program offers valuable lessons about the difficulties in socio-economic policy-making, a thorough analysis of the Prakerja Card policy cycle shows that there is still room for improvement. A strong conceptual framework for evaluating the success of this program is provided by the integration of human resource theory and Maslow's hierarchy of needs.

Abstract

Every child has equal potential, but education and environment influence their development. Family support is essential for comfortable learning, especially for children with special needs (ABK) who require a special approach. Unfortunately, stigma often equates individuals with disabilities, even though their needs are unique. Based on Government Regulation Number 13 of 2020, the government is required to provide inclusive education for people with disabilities, including facilities, infrastructure, and special educators. In inclusive education, the curriculum is adjusted to the needs of ABK for flexibility in materials, processes, and learning evaluations. In the past, ABK studied in Special Schools (SLB), but now many public schools accept them. This system allows them to learn with peers with the support of special assistant teachers (GPK) who help overcome learning barriers, support interactions, and optimize their potential. This research was conducted at SD Pelangi Anakku, Jalan Villa Mutiara Pluit Blok C6, Periuk, Tangerang City, Banten, on October 18, 2024. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the researcher described the real conditions in the field. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis in this study used the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The researcher structured the interview for informants with several focuses: 1) The motivation for the ABK program at SD Pelangi is the belief that all children have the right to receive a decent education, 2) Parental involvement through regular meetings for child development, 3) Types of ABK in the class include intellectual disabilities, autism, and learning disorders, assisted by two assistant teachers, and 4) Independent Curriculum which is adapted for ABK. Assistant teachers play an important role in supporting slow learner students, both inside and outside the classroom, with attention to understanding the material, assessment, and social interaction.

Abstract

Improving mathematics learning outcomes is one of the important goals that students are expected to achieve in mathematics learning, but in reality most students still have difficulty understanding the fractional arithmetic operations they are learning. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of fractional arithmetic operations through number cards. The type of research is classroom action research with all grade VI students of SDN 3 Mangliawan, Pakis Kabutane District, Malang, 2019/2020 academic year as research subjects. This research is said to be successful if it meets the success indicators, namely: (1) the average value of students' fractional arithmetic learning outcomes increases and meets the minimum completion criteria of 75; and (2) the percentage of students who complete it increases and reaches ≥ 75% of the total number of students. The results of the study showed that: (1) in Cycle I the average assignment score was 69.19 and the percentage of students who completed it was 45.16, (2) while in Cycle II the average assignment score was 84.68 and the percentage of students who completed it was 90.32, and (3) there was an increase in the average assignment score from Cycle I to Cycle II of 15.49 or 22.39% and there was an increase in the test score from Cycle I to Cycle II of 14.52 or 21.80%. The conclusion obtained is that the application of the number card method can improve the learning outcomes of fractional number arithmetic operations of Class VI students of SDN 3 Mangliawan, Pakis District, Malang Regency in the 2019/2020 academic year. For teachers who teach Mathematics in elementary schools, it is necessary to use learning media that are appropriate to the material being discussed, so that the learning atmosphere for Mathematics is not in a tense atmosphere but instead in a pleasant atmosphere.
