Abstract

Recently, the cloud service has the potential to replace conventional cluster and grid systems. The objective of migrating apps to the cloud is to minimize maintenance and procurement expenses while simultaneously boosting scalability and availability. However, embra=cing cloud technology created some challenges, such as the complexity of cloud storage. In addition, many clients underestimate if it is not plug-and-play. Each vendor has its access methods, and nonstandard application programming interfaces (APIs) make integrated applications, such as archiving or sharing data with cloud storage, complicated, costly, and require high throughput. Furthermore, organizations did not have many alternatives for implementing high-performance object storage systems in the cloud and on-premises data centers until now. In this paper, we would like to suggest a storage gateway as a solution to this issue and will optimize it using Transfer Acceleration and Diff algorithms to improve the performance, Intelligent Tiering to reduce costs, and Server-Side encryption for extra protection. Moreover, utilizing Storage Gateway has proven can provide more efficient integration between the on-premises data center environment and the AWS Cloud Storage ecosystem that is safer and more reliable. This technology can work in a common data center environment regardless of the vendor used by the company it can communicate seamlessly with the AWS Environment.

Abstract

In the economic field, gold generally has three main functions, namely the monetary function, investment and industrial functions. In the financial world, prediction of the trend of gold price fluctuations is an important issue. Convolutional neural network algorithm is one of the popular algorithms in the image classification domain. But this algorithm can also be applied to 1-dimensional problems, such as predicting the next value in a sequence, be it a time series or the next word in a sentence. In this study, the Convolutional Neural Network algorithm was optimized with long shot time memory to predict the price of Indonesian gold from 1979 to 2021 with a total of 511 records. The test was carried out with three different epoch values, namely 50, 100 and 150 with a validity test using RMSE. From the test results, the smallest RMSE train value and RMSE validation are generated at epoch 150, which is 0.0138 for RMSE train and 0.0402 for RMSE validation.

Abstract

Many marine product companies currently have not implemented blockchain potentials in tracking systems. There could be found many errors in the transactions record. The purpose of this research is to implement blockchain as a fraud prevention system for transactions in marine product companies. This research is qualitative-exploratory research with data collection using documentation techniques from related literature. This study concludes that Blockchain can be used as an alternative to fraud prevention. Blockchain can be used because there is transparency with a distributed system, which makes the whistleblowing system more effective and independent, in fully implementing the principles of GCG (Good Corporate Governance). The results of the advanced system designed at a marine product company are to facilitate data collection of all goods to be sent this providing high-security guarantees because it implements a blockchain security system in this system, and places an integrated tracking system so that data and goods sent during the transaction can be tracked.

Abstract

Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is a swarm-based optimization method that is easy to implement and requires only a few parameters to set. This study aims to implement PSO to optimize the Fuzzy-Social Force Model (FSFM). FSFM combines the Social Force Model (SFM) as a navigation algorithm and the Fuzzy Inference Rule (FIS) to produce adaptive gain on SFM to create a mobile robot navigation system that is more responsive to obstacles. The PSO implementation optimizes fuzzy rules to be more optimal when the mobile robot navigates into social spaces. From the experimental test results on the VREP simulation software, cognitive parameter c1 = 1 and social parameter c2 = 2 produced the best navigation performance compared to other test parameter values.

Abstract

PT Superintending Company of Indonesia (Persero) (referred to as SUCOFINDO) is a State-Owned Enterprise established between the Government of the Republic of Indonesia and SGS. At this time PT. Sucofindo (Persero) cooperates a lot with other companies, a total of 3458 external supply companies are active in the procurement of goods and services, so that often employees in the general function section have problems remembering the time of the cooperation contract. At this time the general function is still using the system in a way where employees still have to manually input data from every activity of procurement of goods and services in Microsoft Excel. the system used is deemed less effective and efficient, making it difficult to obtain information on a procurement contract. This research was conducted to facilitate the monitoring of a contract. The system uses the PHP programming language and MySQL database. The results of this study are a web-based monitoring information system that provides warning alerts if the contract is in the grace period, as well as providing other information about the stages of the process that have been carried out in a contract.

Abstract

Echocardiography is a test that uses high-frequency sound waves to describe the structure of the heart. Echocardiography is used by doctors to analyze the movement of the walls in the heart chambers and identify heart disease. Several images, including the long-axis, short-axis, 2-chamber and 4-chamber left ventricle, can be used to check heart function. Many studies that have been carried out, including cardiac evaluation, are still carried out conventionally and require a certain level of accuracy. In this research, several methods proposed to achieve object extraction are used to build a classification system, the steps start with image enhancement, segmentation, tracking, extraction, output characteristics, validation and classification. Imaging enhancement aims to improve the echocardiographic image, thereby clarifying the edges of the heart wall. In addition, the images are reprocessed to separate the left ventricle from the heart wall and generate ventricular contours, at the segmentation stage. The contours are obtained by looking for the good features on each heart wall. In this approach, good features are identified only on the first image of the left ventricular slice. The good feature points used are 24 point which will be grouped into 6 segments. In addition, all images will be processed using the optical flow method to track the movement of the walls of the heart. Optical flow tracing will generate direction and distance feature extraction values that can be used to describe the resulting data features and find a suitable classification algorithm that is combined using different validation techniques, namely K-fold and Leave-one-out. In its implementation, Classifier Support Vector Machine (SVM) with rbf core achieves the highest accuracy. The SVM classification algorithm with validation techniques, namely k-fold cross-validation and leave-one-out cross-validation, reaches an accuracy value of 100% and 100%.

Abstract

The form of the final project at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra, Medan is not only in the form of a thesis but can also be in the form of a journal article. Final thesis and journal articles have different forms, ranging from writing formats, templates, to the number of pages that must be completed. In terms of writing, students sometimes experience difficulties and obstacles ranging from difficulty finding data, running out of ideas, writer's block, discipline to unproductive writing. Therefore, to see the effect of journal articles as a substitute for thesis on student writing productivity, it is necessary to conduct research using three indicators, namely completion targets, processing time, and the number of references used. This study uses mix method research methods with data collection through questionnaires and literature study. After conducting research, which was based on productivity indicators, it was found that there was no effect of journal articles as a substitute for thesis on the writing productivity of each student.

Abstract

With the development of increasingly sophisticated technology, the act of counterfeiting becomes an easy thing to do. An image editor application intended to heed a work of art, has now turned its function into a tool for document forgery.  Forgery of a diploma is a form of deviant behavior that violates the rule of law and makes the perpetrator criminal. Economic conditions, low education and the need to get a job are reasons for perpetrators to commit forgery. In addition, political motives are also often a reason to get political office.  One of the technologies to anticipate this problem is to apply blockcerts to electronic diplomas. Blockcert is built using blockchain technology that provides transparency and accountability in the storage of certificates and diplomas. This research resulted in a system of publishing and validating e-diplomas and e-transcripts at the University of Dinamika Bangsa which are stored on a private blockchain. The system has been tested and all modules are running properly according to the expected output.
