Abstract

The background of this study is the suboptimal dollyo chagi kicking ability among the taekwondo athletes of Gladiator Semarang. The research problem focuses on the lack of effectiveness in dollyo chagi kicks by taekwondo athletes of Gladiator Semarang during competitions. This research aims to analyze the impact of plyometric training and lower limb flexibility on the speed of dollyo chagi kicks by taekwondo athletes of Gladiator Semarang. This experimental study used a 2x2 factorial design. The population consisted of 40 taekwondo athletes of Gladiator Semarang, with a sample of 32 athletes selected through purposive sampling based on specific criteria (flexibility). The instruments included a lower limb flexibility test (side split) and a dollyo chagi speed test. Data analysis employed ANOVA (two-way). The results indicated: 1) Significant differences in the effects of single-leg hurdle hop training 0,002 (better) compared to single-leg bounding. 2) Significant differences in lower limb flexibility, with higher flexibility showing 0,000 < 0.05. 3) Significant interaction between plyometric training and lower limb flexibility on kick speed. In conclusion, using single-leg hurdle hop and single-leg bounding, plyometric training can significantly improve dollyo chagi performance, especially when adjusted to the athlete's lower limb flexibility level. These methods are recommended for training programs, with intensity and variations adjusted to the athlete's needs and characteristics.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on the background of the problem at State Junior High School 3 Bantarsari, which is evidenced by the results of the questionnaire recapitulation. The percentage of student behavioral deviations at State Junior High School 3 Bantarsari falls into the high category, partly due to the influence of deviations at 34.7% and factors contributing to student behavioral deviations amounting to 88%, which are categorized as dominant. The researcher observed that students tend to have inconsistent Intrapersonal Skills and Interpersonal Skills, which affects physical education learning. Dominance occurs in the factors causing deviations in student behavior, namely individual and group factors. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of the integration between intrapersonal skills and interpersonal skills on physical education learning. This research is a quantitative study. The approach used is descriptive, correlational, and experimental, consisting of experimental group I: integration of intrapersonal skills; experimental group II: integration of intrapersonal skills and control group. The research data source is the eighth-grade students of State Junior High School 3 Bantarsari for the 2023/2024 academic year. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Data analysis used paired and independent simple t-tests. This research produced significant data on the influence of Intrapersonal skills and Interpersonal skills on physical education learning. The study also found the development of an integration program through physical education learning, namely 1) Intrapersonal Skills (Goal Setting, Time Management, Leadership, Emotional Skills) and 2) Interpersonal Skills (Teamwork, Interpersonal Communication, Social Skills, and Problem Solving & Decision Making).(L. D. Cronin & Allen, 2017). The conclusion is that the application of the experimental group integrating intrapersonal skills and interpersonal skills through the paired sample t-test shows a difference in the average learning outcomes of students for the pre-post test experimental class with intrapersonal skills and interpersonal skills compared to the post-test control class. (non integrasi). In the independent sample t-test, the significance value was found to be < 0.005, concluding that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a difference in the effect between PJOK learning integrated with interpersonal skills and intrapersonal skills and non-integration.

Abstract

This study examines the Games of New Emerging Forces (GANEFO) as a dynamic sporting event. It examines and analyzes that GANEFO is not just an international sporting event, but also a product of foreign political competition and a contest of diplomatic relations between foreign countries. This study uses a historical research method. The implementation of GANEFO in November 1963 is often associated with international political practices after World War II. The feud between the Western Bloc and the Eastern Bloc triggered the holding of the Asia Africa Conference. The spirit of the Non-Aligned Movement was adopted by Indonesia to mobilize other countries to participate in GANEFO. In addition, the influence of the PRC as an exponent of a communist state also played an important role in the success of GANEFO in Jakarta. At the national level, the long feud between Soekarno, political parties, and the military elite also encouraged the implementation of GANEFO during the Guided Democracy era. Competition between domestic camps triggered Soekarno to try to take a superior position by organizing an international-scale sporting event. This method was used by Soekarno to attract public sympathy while simultaneously dwarfing the position of his domestic competitors. Thus, holding sports competitions can be used as an instrument to untangle the complexities of diplomatic relations and domestic political disputes.

Abstract

Playing egrang does not only rely on physicality, it also requires concentration to focus full attention on each movement and maintain balance. Concentration plays an important role in the game of egrang, allowing players to better control their bodies to maintain balance. The purpose of this study is to analyze the contribution of concentration to the success of playing egrang. This study uses quantitative methods with regression correlation design. The samples used in this study were 51 elementary school students in Semarang Regency who had filled out inform consent as a willingness to participate in the study. The data in this study were obtained using ice grid concentration exercise and success test of playing egrang which then the data were processed using SPSS software version 25.0. The results showed that concentration has no contribution to the success of egrang with a contribution value of 4.1%, and with a significance value of 0.153 (p> 0.05), so that the contribution of concentration to the success of egrnag is not significant. This indicates that although concentration is required in the egrang game, this factor is not the main determinant of egrang success. Future research is expected to be able to analyze and identify other factors that can contribute to the success of egrang.

Abstract

Physical fitness is defined as the body's ability to perform daily physical activities without feeling excessively tired. This study aimed to determine the contribution of physical activity to physical fitness in children with intellectual disabilities in Semarang. This study used a correlational research type and a purposive sampling technique. The sample criteria in this study included children with special needs classified as intellectual disabilities with an IQ of 50-70 in grades 4, 5, and 6 of elementary school-aged 10-12 years with a total of 50 students. This research instrument used a physical activity questionnaire Physical Activity Questionnaire for Children (PAQ-C) and physical fitness using the Indonesian Student Fitness Test (TKSI) for intellectual disabilities. Data analysis used SPSS version 26 with normality, linearity, and Pearson correlation tests. The study’s results found that a significant value of 0.000 <0.05 and a Pearson correlation value of 0.243 had a positive relationship and a fairly strong relationship level and contributed 25.9% of physical activity to physical fitness. The higher the physical activity, the more positive impact it will have on the physical fitness of children with intellectual disabilities in Semarang. Physical activities such as aerobic exercise programs that are designed to be fun and interactive can increase participation in physical activity and physical fitness in children with intellectual disabilities. Further research suggestions can add analysis to other variables that affect physical fitness such as diet, sleep quality, and stress levels to provide a deeper understanding.
