Abstract

An-Najah Student Islamic Boarding School is an Islamic educational institution domiciled in Purwokerto, Central Java. Throughout its development, this Student Islamic Boarding School has strived to continuously innovate in providing learning for students that is relevant to the needs of the times. Specifically in terms of technology application, An Najah strives to improve students' skills in managing web-based information and education portals as a way for students to play an active role in cyberspace by disseminating useful information in accordance with Islamic values. In managing the portal as an information and education center, there are obstacles that urgently require immediate solutions. Portal managers, consisting of students who have been equipped with media development and content creation skills, face difficulties in creating portal content intensively and routinely. The difficulty lies more in how to find content ideas, inspiration, and then create content based on contemporary journalistic principles that suit the tastes of Generation Z. This difficulty impacts the long broadcast period of content due to constant changes and out-of-date content. As a solution, portal managers need to be equipped with knowledge of content creation and digital journalism skills through training activities. The digital journalism training aims to provide students with an understanding and skills in digital journalism, from news writing and content creation to managing social media as a means of preaching and education. This activity includes training, mentoring, and evaluation. The training is expected to enable portal managers to maintain the intensity of content distribution by creating content intensively and creatively based on the principles of digital journalism.

Abstract

Legal awareness within society is a fundamental factor in establishing an orderly, just, and civilized social life. However, in the Muara Sabak area, many community members still lack an understanding of their legal rights and obligations and remain unaware of the mechanisms to obtain free legal aid. In response to this condition, a community service program was carried out by the Lembaga Bantuan Hukum (Legal Aid Institute) Samudra Muara Sabak, aiming to enhance public understanding and legal awareness through the socialization of the institution’s roles and services. The methods employed included lectures, interactive discussions, and simple case simulations designed in a participatory and communicative manner. The results demonstrated a significant increase across all aspects measured through pre- and post-activity evaluations, particularly in understanding the right to legal aid, knowledge of legal aid institutions, and awareness of resolving issues through lawful means. The average improvement of 40–45% indicates the effectiveness of the socialization method in bridging the information gap between the community and formal legal institutions. Beyond improving knowledge, the program also encouraged behavioral changes, as participants became more inclined to pursue legal channels for conflict resolution and actively disseminate legal information within their communities. Thus, this activity not only strengthened the role of LBH Samudra Muara Sabak as a strategic partner in legal empowerment but also made a tangible contribution to fostering a fair, rational, and civilized legal culture as the foundation for developing a legally conscious society within a democratic state framework.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase public understanding and awareness of regulations and the implementation of fines in the Pematang Rahim Village Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM). Outreach was conducted through a community approach utilizing social media as a means of communication and education. Implementation methods included initial observation, educational content creation, and interactive online and offline discussions. The results of the activity showed an increase in public understanding of SPAM regulations from 45% to 87%, knowledge of the fine system from 32% to 80%, and compliance with timely payments from 58% to 90%. Furthermore, community participation in community discussions also increased from 40% to 85%, indicating growing awareness and active community involvement in the management of clean water services.

Abstract

Quality and ethical public service is a fundamental pillar for realizing governance that is just, transparent, and oriented toward community welfare. This community service program aims to enhance the understanding and application of sharia legal principles in public service within Pematang Rahim Village, Mendahara Ulu Subdistrict, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency. The initiative was motivated by the limited understanding of village officials regarding Islamic legal values that should underpin ethical governance practices. The implementation employed a participatory and educational approach through interactive socialization, reflective lectures, and focus group discussions (FGDs) emphasizing the application of the principles of ‘adl (justice), amanah (trustworthiness), and maslahah (public benefit) in public service contexts. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants’ understanding based on pre-test and post-test evaluations, increasing from 57.7% to 87.3% (a rise of 29.6%). The highest improvement occurred in the aspect of public service ethics based on sharia principles (30%), followed by the ability to apply sharia values in governance (30%), and understanding of basic sharia law concepts (29%). Beyond knowledge enhancement, the program fostered collective awareness among village officials, reflected in their initiative to draft the Islamic Public Service Ethics Guidelines as a follow-up action. Thus, this program not only strengthens the intellectual and spiritual capacity of village officials but also represents a strategic step toward establishing a village governance system that is just, transparent, accountable, and grounded in Islamic ethical values.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the legal understanding of the managers and owners of the Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) in Pematang Rahim Village regarding the drafting of contracts and cooperation agreements with third parties. The main issue faced by the partners is the lack of understanding of formal legal aspects in every collaboration, which often leads to potential disputes and imbalances in rights and obligations. Through a participatory-based legal mentoring approach, participants were provided with training, simulations, and assistance in drafting contracts in accordance with legal regulations. The results of the activity showed a significant improvement in various aspects of the participants’ legal competence. Based on the evaluation, understanding of contract elements and the principles of contract law increased by 85%, as reflected in the post-test results and participants’ ability to identify the legal components of a valid agreement under civil law. Furthermore, practical skills in drafting valid and binding written agreements improved by 80%, as demonstrated by the quality of cooperation contract drafts prepared by participants during the mentoring sessions. This improvement also had a positive impact on SPAM’s institutional governance, where the level of transparency and accountability increased by 75%, accompanied by the application of justice principles in decision-making and the distribution of responsibilities among parties. Overall, this community service activity had a tangible impact on strengthening SPAM’s institutional governance to become more professional, transparent, accountable, and equitable, while also fostering an adaptive and sustainable legal culture at the village level.

Abstract

Clean water is a fundamental human need that plays a vital role in supporting public health, welfare, and the socio-economic sustainability of communities. However, in Pematang Rahim Village, Mendahara Ulu District, the management of the Community-Based Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) still faces various challenges, particularly in aspects of governance, transparency, and the application of justice principles. This community service program aims to strengthen SPAM governance based on Sharia principles through a Community-Based Participatory Action (CBPA) approach, which places the community as the main actor in every stage of activity. The program was implemented in four stages: identifying needs and problems, providing education and training on Sharia principles in social enterprises, offering hands-on assistance in drafting Sharia-based governance documents, and conducting monitoring and evaluation. The results show significant improvements in several areas. Participants’ understanding of Sharia principles increased to 90%, especially regarding the concepts of justice, trust (amanah), and partnership contracts such as musyarakah and mudharabah. Financial transparency and accountability improved by 75% through the implementation of a simple reporting system and collective deliberation mechanisms. Community participation in decision-making and supervision increased by 70%, while institutional strengthening through the formation of the Sharia SPAM Management Team rose by 80%, reflecting stronger independence and commitment to sustainability. Overall, the implementation of Sharia principles in SPAM governance not only enhances managerial capacity and institutional transparency but also fosters moral, social, and spiritual values oriented toward justice, sustainability, and the well-being of rural communities.

Abstract

BUMDes Berkah Sentosa di Desa Pangebatan menghadapi over stok produk turunan singkong, pisang, perikanan, dan pertanian akibat pemasaran tradisional yang terbatas, sehingga mengganggu cash flow dan keberlanjutan usaha. Pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan serta keterampilan pemasaran digital, memperluas jangkauan pasar, dan mereduksi over stok melalui pelatihan bagi 23 kelompok produsen. Metode mengadopsi Community-Based Participatory Action Research (CBPAR) dengan siklus plan-act-observe-reflect, melibatkan kuliah interaktif, pelatihan langsung, dan simulasi kampanye; data diperoleh via pre-post test (N=45), survei kepuasan, observasi, serta monitoring laporan BUMDes, dianalisis dengan paired t-test, analisis tematik NVivo, dan Kirkpatrick's Four-Level Model. Temuan utama menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan 42,7% (t(44)=14,67, p<0,001), kepuasan peserta 92,9%, adopsi digital oleh 86,7% kelompok, serta reduksi over stok 28,4% disertai kenaikan penjualan digital 35,2% dalam tiga bulan pasca-program. Program berhasil mengoptimalkan strategi pemasaran, memperkuat daya saing UMKM pedesaan, dan mencapai indeks Kirkpatrick 87,5%, dengan saran mentoring berkelanjutan serta replikasi modul e-commerce nasional.

Abstract

The lack of digital identity, reliance on traditional marketing strategies, and limited digital literacy are the main challenges faced by micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) producing Kotel, a traditional seafood-based snack in Gudang Besuki Village. This community service program aims to enhance partners' competitiveness by implementing websites and digital marketing based on local wisdom. The method was designed participatively through problem identification, production training, management strengthening, and digital marketing assistance, including website development, social media activation, and e-commerce utilisation. Evaluation was done using pre-tests and post-tests with paired sample t-tests to measure knowledge and skill improvement. The program results show that partners successfully built a WordPress-based business website, produced product catalogues with local culture-based narratives, and utilised Instagram, WhatsApp, Google My Business, and Shopee as promotional media. Within two weeks, the Instagram account gained 150 followers and recorded six online transactions, while the average competency score of partners increased significantly from 65.63 to 81.38 (p < 0.001). These findings confirm that simple yet contextual digitalisation can expand market access and strengthen the competitiveness of local MSMEs. In conclusion, the application of websites and digital marketing strategies has proven effective in enhancing the independence and sustainability of Kotel businesses based on local wisdom. As a follow-up, training in digital financial management, QRIS payment system integration, e-commerce feature development on websites, and the formation of local digital entrepreneurship forums are recommended to strengthen networks and encourage replication in other regions.

Abstract

Dalam rangka mencapai tujuan Undang-Undang Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional, layanan bimbingan dan konseling memiliki peran penting dalam membantu peserta didik menghadapi tantangan personal, sosial, maupun akademik. Salah satu kompetensi fundamental yang harus diperkuat pada anak dan remaja adalah literasi, yang mencakup kemampuan membaca, menulis, berhitung, berpikir kritis, serta memecahkan masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilaksanakan bekerja sama dengan Kampus Diakoneia Modern (KDM), sebuah lembaga yang telah lama berfokus pada pemenuhan hak-hak anak dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Program PKM dirancang untuk memperkuat literasi digital anak dan remaja melalui seminar, edukasi, dan pelatihan yang disampaikan oleh dosen Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling FKIP UKI. Materi kegiatan mencakup pemahaman literasi digital, penggunaan gawai yang aman dan bertanggung jawab, risiko dunia maya, etika digital, serta penguatan kontrol diri. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan meningkatnya pemahaman peserta mengenai penggunaan teknologi secara bijak dan kemampuan mereka mengidentifikasi konten digital yang bermanfaat untuk pengembangan diri. Program ini diharapkan menjadi langkah awal bagi penguatan literasi digital sekaligus mendukung upaya perlindungan anak sesuai misi kemanusiaan KDM.

Abstract

Permasalahan sanitasi masih menjadi tantangan utama dalam peningkatan kualitas kesehatan masyarakat pedesaan, termasuk di Desa Tlogo. Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran, pengetahuan, dan praktik pemeliharaan sanitasi masyarakat melalui pendekatan berbasis kearifan lokal. Kearifan lokal Desa Tlogo, seperti nilai gotong royong, musyawarah desa, serta tradisi kerja bakti, dijadikan sebagai landasan utama dalam perencanaan dan pelaksanaan kegiatan. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi partisipatif, diskusi kelompok terfokus, pendampingan masyarakat, serta praktik langsung pemeliharaan sarana sanitasi lingkungan. Kegiatan ini melibatkan perangkat desa, tokoh masyarakat, kader kesehatan, dan warga setempat secara aktif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat tentang pentingnya sanitasi yang sehat, perubahan sikap terhadap perilaku hidup bersih, serta tumbuhnya komitmen kolektif untuk menjaga kebersihan lingkungan secara berkelanjutan. Program ini membuktikan bahwa pendekatan berbasis kearifan lokal efektif dalam memperkuat partisipasi masyarakat dan memastikan keberlanjutan pemeliharaan sanitasi desa. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pengabdian ini berkontribusi pada upaya peningkatan kesehatan masyarakat dan pelestarian nilai-nilai lokal di Desa Tlogo.
