Abstract

This study aims to explore the psychological foundation in the development of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum at SMA Plus Al Ghifari Bandung. The background of this study underlines the importance of adjusting the curriculum to the needs and psychological abilities of students to achieve optimal educational goals. The method used is a literature study, with data collection through scientific journals, articles, books, and relevant school documents. The study was designed to analyze related literature without conducting field research. The main findings show that a psychology-based curriculum can increase the effectiveness of PAI learning and facilitate the understanding and application of religious values in daily life. The results of this study contribute to the educational literature, especially related to psychology-based curriculum development. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of integrating theory and practice in religious education as well as holistic and inclusive approaches in PAI curriculum development. Finally, this study proposes prospects for further development in the context of Islamic religious education. The limitations of the study include the focus on one school and the limitations of the literature study methodology.

Abstract

This study examines the moral curriculum within Islamic Education (PAI) for seventh-grade students in junior high school, focusing specifically on the topic of gossip (gibah). Despite its significant impact on social behavior and individual ethics, this topic is often underemphasized in educational settings. The research aims to explore how gossip is taught and its implications within the moral curriculum. Employing a qualitative research methodology, the study utilizes literature analysis, observations, and interviews to gain insights into the challenges associated with teaching this subject. The findings reveal that gossip can lead to social conflicts, strain relationships, and contribute to an unhealthy school environment. Additionally, the study highlights the potential for unethical behavior to emerge from the way gossip is addressed in educational contexts. The research underscores the need for a more holistic and integrative approach to the moral curriculum, emphasizing communication ethics, empathy, and the awareness of the consequences of one's words and actions. The study's implications suggest that a positive and progressive revision of the moral curriculum could mitigate the negative effects of gossip, fostering the development of more ethical and compassionate individuals.

Abstract

This study evaluates the Aqidah Akhlak curriculum at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, focusing on the appropriateness of approaches, strategies, and teaching methods. Although adapted to curriculum development principles, the curriculum remains a human creation that falls short of divine perfection. The primary focus is on the Aqidah Akhlak subjects for grades I and III, employing a thematic approach to facilitate understanding and memorization in line with competency standards. A deeper evaluation is necessary, particularly regarding the suitability of approaches and methods to the material characteristics, student and teacher abilities, and the availability of information and communication technology (ICT). The study reveals that curriculum evaluation and the application of Aqidah Akhlak learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah tend to be formative and summative, using written and oral tests focusing on cognitive aspects. The implementation of action tests encompassing psychomotor and cognitive aspects remains limited, while non-test evaluation methods such as sociometry and anecdotal records are infrequent. Highlighting a new theory in evaluating Aqidah Akhlak subjects at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, this research underscores the importance of assessing student performance as a preferred alternative.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in secondary schools plays an important role in shaping students' character and understanding of religion. Islamic history material in Andalusia is an integral part of the PAI curriculum which reflects the great civilization in the Andalusia region, Spain. This research analyzes the use of the PAI Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) on Islamic history material in Andalusia with an interdisciplinary approach based on philosophical, theological, ontological, epistemological foundations. , psychological, sociocultural, and scientific and technological developments. The research results show that the use of lesson plans that integrate this theoretical foundation increases students' understanding of the history of Islam in Andalusia, as well as increasing their motivation and interest in learning. In addition, the research identified several obstacles in the development and implementation of complex lesson plans. This research contributes to the understanding of PAI learning in secondary schools and the importance of integrating relevant theoretical foundations in increasing understanding of Islamic history and religious values.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the challenges in improving the understanding and motivation of third-grade elementary school students in performing prayer practices as part of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of using audio-visual-based learning media in addressing these challenges. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method with a case study design conducted at SDN Sindangraja 1 Cianjur. Data were collected through participatory observation and in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and analyzed using thematic analysis techniques. The findings reveal that the use of audio-visual media significantly enhances students' understanding of prayer material, active participation in the learning process, and motivation to correctly perform prayer practices. The implications of this research suggest that integrating audio-visual media in PAI learning can be an effective strategy to improve the quality of religious education at the elementary school level. This research also opens opportunities for further development related to innovations in PAI teaching methods that can be widely implemented.

Abstract

Teaching Al-Qur’an Hadith requires an adaptive approach to create a conducive and effective learning environment. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Lesson Plan (RPP) using a psychological approach in Al-Qur’an Hadith instruction at MTs Al-Musaddadiyah Garut. Employing a descriptive qualitative research method with a case study design, the study involves teachers and students as the primary subjects. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis related to the RPP. The key findings reveal a gap between the planning and implementation of the RPP, influenced by factors such as student motivation and infrastructural limitations. However, the psychological approach has proven effective in enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes, provided it is applied flexibly and according to classroom conditions. This study contributes to the literature by offering new insights into the importance of adapting psychological approaches in the context of Islamic religious education. Nevertheless, this research is limited to one location and a relatively short duration, suggesting the need for further studies with a broader scope to reinforce these findings. The implications of this study include recommendations for the development of more responsive lesson plans that address the psychological needs of students, aiming to improve holistic learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research analyzes the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in the subject of Fiqih at Madrasah Tsanawiyah. The Merdeka Curriculum offers flexibility for educational institutions, including madrasahs, to tailor their curricula to the unique characteristics and needs of their students. This study focuses on the adaptation of Fiqih within this framework. Using a qualitative approach, the research employs curriculum document analysis, interviews, and observations in several Madrasah Tsanawiyah. The findings reveal that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in the Fiqih subject has facilitated the integration of learning materials that reflect local wisdom and Islamic values. However, challenges remain, particularly in integrating learning aspects that respond to contemporary developments and students' needs. Furthermore, evaluation and teaching methods require further refinement to achieve the holistic goals of Islamic education. This research aims to provide valuable insights for education policymakers, madrasah administrators, and educators, to enhance the quality of religious education at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah level, aligning it with the broader objectives of national education development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the design of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and Ethics learning and its supporting programs at SMAN 01 Garut, within the framework of the Independent Curriculum implementation. The research approach used is descriptive analysis, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman method. The main findings show that PAI and Ethics teachers actively participate in the preparation of various important documents such as syllabi, educational calendars, annual programs, and semester programs, involving all school elements, including committees and parent representatives. This involvement aims to enhance the quality of learning through close collaboration among related parties. This research makes a significant contribution to the literature on the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in senior high schools, particularly in the context of religious and ethical education. However, this study has limitations in terms of the number of respondents and the limited duration of the research. The prospects for developing the results of this study include increasing the use of technology in learning and applying broader collaborative strategies in various school contexts. Further implications indicate the need for ongoing teacher training to optimize the quality of learning and adapt the curriculum to local needs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of job satisfaction on teacher performance at SMP Islam Bakti Asih, which is a crucial factor in improving educational quality. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. The sample consists of 20 teachers selected from a population of 45 teachers using a systematic nonprobability sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and document analysis, and the validity and reliability of the instruments were tested to ensure measurement accuracy. The main findings show a significant positive correlation between job satisfaction and teacher performance. Further analysis reveals that school leadership, organizational culture, and supervisory mechanisms also contribute to teacher performance, although job satisfaction remains the dominant factor. This study makes an important contribution to the educational management literature by providing insights into how various factors influence teacher performance. Limitations of this study include the limited sample size and short research duration. The implications of this study include recommendations for improving school policies that focus on enhancing job satisfaction as well as other factors to overall improve teacher performance. Further research is suggested to expand the sample size and extend the research duration to obtain more comprehensive results.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the management of educational financing at SMP Islam Bakti Asih, where efficient financial management is key to achieving educational goals. The research is motivated by the financial challenges faced by private schools due to limited resources, affecting the quality of education and the welfare of teaching staff. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation on budget planning, fund utilization, and financial oversight. The key findings indicate that the primary sources of funding come from the foundation and government (BOS) funds, which are utilized through detailed budget planning and regular financial audits to ensure transparency and accountability. The implications of these findings highlight the importance of comprehensive and proactive financial management, not only to maintain the school's financial stability but also to enhance the quality of education provided. This study contributes to the literature on educational financial management by providing insights into best practices for managing funds in private schools. Additionally, the limitations of this study include its narrow focus on a single school and the limited number of respondents, which opens opportunities for further research in broader contexts.
