Abstract

The current moral decadence is a major concern in the field of education, particularly in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) subjects, which are responsible for instilling moral and religious values in students. This study aims to examine the ontological foundations in the development of the PAI curriculum for the Aqidah Akhlak subject at MI Muhammadiyah 01 Cakru Jember. Utilizing a qualitative method with a case study design, this research involves interviews and observations as the primary data collection techniques, supported by literature reviews. The findings indicate that a curriculum developed based on ontological foundations can serve as an effective reference for educators in implementing Aqidah Akhlak teaching. Key findings include the positive impact of a well-planned curriculum on personal changes in students and the broader community. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of continuous evaluation and monitoring to ensure the curriculum remains on track and supports the development of students' strong and integral character.

Abstract

The dynamic development of the curriculum is essential to addressing the demands of contemporary times and Islamic education. However, the implementation of an independent curriculum, as an effort to simplify the previous one and strengthen the profile of Pancasila students, has not been fully realized in educational institutions, presenting challenges in adapting to current needs. This study aims to innovate the philosophical and theological foundations of aqidah and moral education in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah based on faith. The methodology used is a literature review, collecting data from journals, books, and conferences. The findings reveal that philosophical and theological foundations greatly influence the goals of Islamic education in nurturing individuals with noble character. The formation of tauhid within the family serves as the primary basis for establishing faith, which is a crucial asset in formal education. Teachers play a vital role in delivering materials related to Islamic values using various strategies and methods to integrate knowledge and moral development. By practicing faith in daily life through worship, students can cultivate sincerity in their actions. Therefore, a PAI curriculum grounded in strong philosophical and theological principles can help build morally upright and strong individuals.

Abstract

Education is one of the main pillars in sustainable national development. Effective financial management in schools is crucial to ensuring the quality of education, especially in private schools that often face challenges in managing resources. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of educational financial management at SMA PGRI Rancaekek using the Context, Input, Process, Product (CIPP) model. The research methodology is descriptive quantitative, with data collected through observations, questionnaires, and interviews with 50 purposively selected respondents. The findings reveal that the "Process" category achieved the highest score (82.10%), while the "Context" category had the lowest score (74.43%). These results indicate that although the financial management implementation is functioning well, external support and policy frameworks still need improvement. This research contributes to the educational management literature by offering new insights into the application of the CIPP model in private schools. The implications of this study include recommendations for enhancing policies and financial management practices in other private schools, which could ultimately strengthen the overall quality of education.

Abstract

This study explores effective strategies for developing extracurricular activities aimed at enhancing students' learning interest within the context of Indonesian education. Utilizing a qualitative research methodology, data were gathered through interviews and direct observations in the field. The findings reveal that creative and innovative extracurricular programs have a positive impact on students' learning interest by offering opportunities to explore their diverse interests and talents. Furthermore, these programs cultivate a sense of belonging and engagement among students, which significantly contributes to their overall academic and personal development. The study underscores the importance of meticulous planning, implementation, ongoing monitoring, and regular evaluation in achieving the desired educational outcomes. By aligning extracurricular activities with students' interests and providing diverse opportunities for skill development, schools can foster a more holistic educational experience that integrates both academic and non-academic growth. This research emphasizes the need for educational institutions to prioritize and continually enhance their extracurricular offerings to fully realize students' potential and improve the overall quality of the learning experience.

Abstract

This research aims to explain innovative approaches in character building of students through the development of the local content curriculum of Aswaja (Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah) at SMK Al-Falah Nagreg. The local content of Aswaja is an essential component in Islamic education that aims to integrate Islamic values and teachings of Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah into the school curriculum. This study focuses on how the development of the Aswaja local content curriculum can be an effective tool in shaping students' character. The research method used is qualitative analytical research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The results show that innovation in developing the Aswaja local content curriculum can significantly contribute to shaping students' character. Some important findings include: the integration of Islamic values, the development of spirituality, the formation of Islamic identity, the strengthening of tolerance and harmony, and community participation. This curriculum also encourages students' participation in social and community activities oriented towards Aswaja values. This research illustrates the importance of innovation in developing the Aswaja local content curriculum as an effective means in shaping students' character. These results have positive implications for improving the quality of Islamic education and forming a generation with noble character and responsibility in society.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in elementary schools plays a crucial role in shaping students' moral and spiritual character, especially in a country like Indonesia, which is rich in cultural and religious diversity. This study aims to explore the sociocultural foundations in the development of the PAI curriculum for the PAI and Character Education subjects in elementary schools. This research employs a qualitative approach with a literature review method, where data is collected from 4th-grade PAI textbooks and relevant academic journals. The research design focuses on analyzing literature relevant to curriculum development, emphasizing the selection of data that supports the application of sociocultural values in education. The key findings indicate that integrating sociocultural approaches into the PAI curriculum not only enriches students' understanding of religious values but also strengthens their cultural identity. The implications of this study highlight the importance of reflective and collaborative approaches in teaching, as well as self-assessment-based evaluations to enhance students' honesty and discipline.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the implementation of the Flipped Learning method in seventh-grade students at Middle School of Wiraguna Limbangan, Garut by conveying its strengths and weaknesses, with a focus on situations or events related to research problems in learning innovation. The scope is limited to efforts to uncover problems and challenges within the learning context. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive field research approach. The research subjects consist of 30 students from Wiraguna Limbangan Middle School in the subject of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and workgroup observations. The research findings conclude that students have engaged in learning activities using the flipped learning method according to their respective roles. Reading materials and participation in discussions indicate that students are active and responsible in the learning process that employs the flipped learning method. Effective learning through flipped classes is supported by the use of technology and engaging media.

Abstract

This study examines the critical role of ontological foundations in the development of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum, specifically for Qur'an and Hadith subjects in Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs). Recognizing the importance of a strong philosophical underpinning in religious education, this research aims to explore how integrating ontological principles into the PAI curriculum can enhance students' comprehension of Islamic values and their engagement in the learning process. Employing a qualitative research design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis at several MTs in Yogyakarta over a two-month period. The findings reveal that embedding ontological concepts in the curriculum not only deepens students' understanding of Islamic teachings but also fosters greater spiritual and character development. The study suggests that a more philosophically integrated approach to curriculum design can significantly contribute to the holistic development of students, aligning educational practices with the core values of Islam. The implications of this research highlight the need for educational institutions to adopt and implement curricula that emphasize deep, reflective learning, which is essential for cultivating both intellectual and spiritual growth in students.

Abstract

Education is the key to human resource development, and adequate funding is a crucial factor in achieving quality education. This study explores various financing strategies implemented by MAN 2 Kota Bandung in improving the quality of its human resources. Through data analysis and literature review, this article aims to identify various sources of funding, such as budget allocation, government grants, community contributions, and partnerships with the private sector. The method used in this research is a qualitative case study method. The results of this study show that effective financial management has made a positive contribution to the enhancement and nurturing of human resources at MAN 2 Kota Bandung. This success is reflected in students' academic achievements, adequate educational facilities, and the improvement in the quality of educators. This article provides guidance for similar educational institutions in their efforts to enhance human resource quality through effective financial management.

Abstract

Effective management of education financing is crucial for ensuring the quality and sustainability of education, particularly in private schools that frequently encounter significant financial challenges. This study aims to examine and analyze the financial management strategies employed at SMP Islam Bakti Asih, a private school in Indonesia, to demonstrate how this institution successfully navigates financial constraints while enhancing educational quality. Utilizing a qualitative research approach with a case study design, data were gathered through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the school effectively implemented financial strategies, including diversification of funding sources, efficient emergency fund management, and active stakeholder involvement in the budgeting process. These practices have contributed to both financial stability and improved educational outcomes. The study’s implications suggest that adaptive and inclusive financial management approaches can significantly bolster the financial sustainability of educational institutions, providing a valuable model for other schools facing similar financial difficulties to consider adopting.
