Abstract

Religiosity in the context of Islamic religious education can be divided into vertical and horizontal dimensions. A vertical religious atmosphere can be realized through worship activities. On the other hand, a horizontal religious atmosphere links schools more as social institutions, which can be classified based on the structure of relationships between people. The school's efforts to improve students' religious attitudes are carried out through the implementation of Islamic activities. This research uses a literature review method, which involves researching literature and theories that are relevant to the problem being studied. The instrument used is descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the literature review analysis, the author will review it in detail in this article, discussing the implementation of student religious development in Senior High Schools (SMA). The implementation of religious diversity in high school students involves systematic efforts such as guidance, providing information, supervision and control. The aim is to improve the quality of students, especially in the religious aspect, in order to form a positive mental attitude and develop good potential. This aims to ensure that students' diversity can develop positively.

Abstract

This study highlights the importance of planning in Islamic education as a critical determinant of program success. The research aims to explore the planning processes within the context of Islamic education and identify the challenges faced. The methodology employed is a literature review, analyzing sources from journals, books, and other materials. This study utilizes a qualitative design to analyze the collected data. The key findings indicate that rapid curriculum changes, difficulties in applying knowledge to everyday life, and inadequate educational facilities are the primary challenges in planning Islamic education. The implications of this study emphasize the need for comprehensive and thorough planning to enhance the effectiveness of Islamic education. This research contributes significantly to the literature by providing insights into the importance of effective planning in Islamic education and suggesting directions for further research in this area.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the curriculum at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 3 Karawang and its impact on achieving educational goals, encompassing the spiritual, academic, and social aspects of students. Against the backdrop of the need to preserve Islamic values amidst the dynamics of changing times, this research aims to analyze the extent to which the implemented curriculum can support the madrasah’s vision and mission in shaping students with noble character. The methodology used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection through documentation and observation. The findings indicate that the curriculum implementation at MAN 3 Karawang has successfully integrated Islamic values into the learning process and student activities, as evidenced by the improvement in their spiritual and moral competencies. The implications of these findings highlight the need for continuous curriculum adjustments to maintain relevance with modern educational needs without neglecting the foundational Islamic values. This research contributes to the development of educational strategies in madrasahs to face contemporary challenges and enhance the quality of Islamic education.

Abstract

Understanding the history of Islamic civilization is crucial in addressing modern challenges. This research aims to analyze the Prophet Muhammad's preaching strategy in Mecca and its presentation within the Islamic Cultural History (SKI) curriculum. Employing a descriptive qualitative research design, data were collected through document analysis and interviews with key informants at MAN 1 Cianjur during November and December 2023. The findings reveal that the SKI curriculum effectively integrates historical and religious values, enhancing students' understanding of Islamic history and moral development. The Independent Curriculum's flexibility allows for the incorporation of diverse teaching methods and technological tools, fostering comprehensive evaluations. This research supports previous findings on the importance of contextually relevant pedagogical approaches and contributes new insights into curriculum development for Islamic education. Future research should explore the long-term impacts of this curriculum model and its adaptability to different educational contexts, potentially guiding further enhancements in teaching Islamic history and values.

Abstract

The use of information technology in Islamic religious education (PAI) holds significant potential to enhance the quality of learning, yet it continues to face various challenges in Islamic schools, including at MTs Al-Inayah, Bandung City. This study aims to identify and analyze the barriers to integrating information technology into the development of PAI learning materials. The research employs a qualitative method with a literature review design, involving an in-depth evaluation of technological infrastructure, teacher competency, financial resources, and the availability of digital materials. The key findings indicate that limitations in infrastructure, lack of teacher training, budget constraints, and the scarcity of digital resources are significant obstacles hindering the integration of technology in PAI learning. The implications of this study provide crucial insights for developing more effective strategies to support the adoption of information technology in Islamic schools. Furthermore, the results contribute to the educational literature by reinforcing the understanding of local challenges faced within the context of religious education in Indonesia. This research also proposes the need for a collaborative approach among the government, educational institutions, and communities to overcome these barriers, ultimately enhancing the quality of PAI learning significantly.

Abstract

This research presents an in-depth analysis of financial management at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Mukmin Attaqwa Arjasari. Through data collection methods involving on-site observations, interviews, and documentation, the research provides a comprehensive overview of financial management at Pondok Pesantren Nurul Mukmin Attaqwa Arjasari. Furthermore, the study outlines specific numerical figures for components such as school operational expenses, teacher salaries and allowances, and reserve funds. The research results offer a deeper understanding of the financial management model in this educational institution and discuss potential improvements and developments for the future. Thus, this article contributes to enhancing the effectiveness of financial management in the context of Pondok Pesantren Nurul Mukmin Attaqwa Arjasari. This research indicate the primary source of funding for the Pondok Pesantren comes from donations and contributions from the community, as well as income from supplementary educational activities. There is a need to improve the budget planning process. While planning exists, more structured and clear policies need to be implemented to optimize fund utilization. Overall budget utilization has been efficient, but there is room for improving financial management in specific areas, such as enhancing the competence of human resources. These research findings provide a foundation for educational institutions to enhance their financial management model and plan more effective and sustainable future steps.

Abstract

This study delves into ethical concerns within educational financing management systems, emphasizing considerations and solutions. Ethical management of education funds is deemed crucial for transparent, accountable, and morally sound fund utilization. The investigation incorporates an analysis of pertinent domestic journal articles and books, identifying ethical issues related to fund allocation, transparency, accountability, conflicts of interest, and social responsibility in education financing. Cases, research, and expert perspectives, contextualized within Indonesia, are presented for each issue. Furthermore, the study proposes solutions applicable to educational institutions like schools, universities, and governments to enhance ethical practices in fund management. Recommendations include heightened transparency, integration of ethics education into curricula, staff and teacher training, development of codes of ethics, parental involvement, partnerships with relevant organizations, and continuous monitoring of ethical practices. The research outcomes offer valuable insights into the significance of ethics in education funding management, delineating various measures to fortify ethical practices in the educational realm. Practical implications and recommendations for on going enhancement in education funding management are also discussed.

Abstract

Financial sustainability is a major challenge for Islamic boarding schools in ensuring the stability of education quality and daily operations. Many pesantren heavily rely on external donations and government aid, which are often unstable. Therefore, effective and innovative financial management strategies are necessary to achieve financial independence. This study aims to analyze the financial management of Bustanul Wildan Islamic Boarding School, focusing on funding source diversification and financial sustainability strategies. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with school administrators, direct observations, and financial document analysis. The findings reveal that the school successfully manages its funding through a combination of community donations, student fees, government assistance, and self-sustaining businesses such as cooperatives, agribusiness, and garment production. This strategy enhances the school’s financial stability and reduces dependency on external funding. The study’s implications highlight the importance of financial transparency, capacity-building in financial management, and strengthening entrepreneurship as a solution for financial sustainability. These findings provide valuable insights for other Islamic educational institutions in developing more independent and sustainable funding models..

Abstract

The development of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and Character Education curriculum in Senior High Schools (SMA) is crucial amidst increasingly complex social dynamics. This research aims to analyze the curriculum development process of PAI and Character Education, focusing on the implementation of character-based learning methods. The research employs a qualitative approach through literature review to explore relevant theories and concepts. The research design centers on identifying curriculum development principles, including the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation. The findings reveal that effective curriculum development involves intracurricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities, with the primary goal of shaping students with strong moral character and a deep understanding of religion. A holistic curriculum that is relevant to students' needs can strengthen their moral character and mitigate the negative influences from external environments. The implications of this research highlight the importance of collaboration between schools, parents, and the community in developing a PAI curriculum that can address contemporary challenges and prepare young generations to face modern life with integrity.

Abstract

This study evaluates the implementation of congregational Dhuhr prayers in shaping the disciplined character of students at MI Daarussalaam. It emphasizes the role of habitual worship as a foundation for character education in a school setting. Using a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design, data were collected through interviews and observations. The findings reveal that while the congregational prayer program has been implemented, not all students consistently participate. Teachers play a vital role in motivating students and serving as role models to enhance their discipline. The study highlights that the practice of congregational prayers can effectively shape disciplined character when supported by active family involvement and increased self-awareness among students. Limitations of the study include minimal family engagement and the short duration of the research. Future research is recommended to conduct long-term evaluations and establish collaborative programs between schools and families to maximize the program's impact. This study contributes to the discourse on character education, particularly within the framework of religious education in primary schools.
