Abstract

This study aims to analyze the validity, reliability, level of difficulty, differentiation power, and item distractors made by science subject teachers of class VIII MTs.N 1 Bengkulu, Academic Year 2019/2020. Samples were taken by saturated sampling technique. The instrument in this study was a daily test sheet made by a science subject teacher for grade VIII, which amounted to 20 multiple choice questions. Analysis of the construct validity of multiple choice questions in terms of material, construction and language is appropriate, there are several questions that still need to be improved in terms of construction. Analysis of the validity of the UH 1 items showed that 40% of the questions were valid; reliability of 0.76 means that it has high consistency; the difficulty level of the questions was 40% difficult, 55% moderate and 5% easy questions; difference power 45% bad, 35% sufficient and 20% good; 80% of cheaters are functional. At UH 2 60% of the questions are valid; reliability of 0.78 means it has high consistency; 35% for difficult questions and 65% for medium questions; difference power 30% bad, 45% sufficient and 25% good; 75% of cheaters are functioning.

Abstract

Folklore can be used as one tool to deliver a range of values of character education, as well as to Strengthen the development of national identity in the younger generation of Indonesia. Value of character education can be built up through folklore in each subject in formal education, Including the teaching of mathematics. Implemented a learning Mathematics always aim to build a variety of capabilities, both in the form of hard skills and soft skills mathematic mathematic. Folklore that are Discussed in this article is the Fabled 'hare and Snail'. Use of the Fabled 'hare and Snail' conceptually in this article is Aimed at transforming diverse moral message that characterizes the value of character education, roomates would Become an important part regarding the goals of learning activities in the form of mathematicsmathematical power, Such as problem-solving ability and a positive attitude towards math, Articles are arranged in this qualitative descriptive intended to Convey a moral message contained in the fable 'hare and Snail'. Results can be Achieved on this article items, namely through the Fabled 'hare and Snail' is sung in the learning of mathematics, is expected to instill a maximum of mathematical problem solving ability, capable of up to foster a positive attitude towards math, and so forth. Overall, it can be concluded that the folklore must continue to be preserved, and can be formally brought in all the learning activities in the classroom, in order to foster the educational value of the character of the Indonesian nation.

Abstract

There have been many who have conducted research with the theme of Audio-Visual media and Audia Media, but there is no research on the differences in the use of these two media on student learning outcomes in science subjects. This study aims to determine differences in student learning outcomes between classes taught using audio media and audio-visual media in grade V at SD Negeri 58 Bengkulu City. This study used 2 groups, namely the VA class totaling 22 people as the experimental group and VB with 22 people as the control group. The research variable consisted of independent variables, namely audio-visual media with audio media, while the dependent variable was student learning outcomes. This type of research is quantitative. Data collection techniques are observation, documentation and multiple choice test questions. The data analysis technique used T-test. It can be seen from the results of the hypothesis using the "t" test for both groups with the results obtained, t = 2.659, while t table with df 42 at the 5% significant level is 2.018. Thus t count> t table (2.659> 2.018) which means that the working hypothesis (Ha) in this study is accepted, namely the learning outcomes of class V students who are taught using Audio-visual media are better than students who are taught using Audio-visual media on Science subject at SDN 58 Bengkulu City. Evidenced by the average value of student learning outcomes in posttest class VA higher than class VB and there are differences in student learning outcomes in science subjects between classes taught using audio media and audio-visual media in class V at SD Negeri 58 Bengkulu City

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of grade IV A students in science learning through the application of the experimental method of energy material and its use in SD Negeri 219 Bengkulu Utara in the 2018/2019 academic year. The research design used was classroom action research (PTK). In this study, the subjects were 22 students of grade IV A SD Negeri 219 Bengkulu Utara. The results showed that there was an increase in student activity in each cycle of 16.67%, from 66.66% in the first cycle to 83.33% in the second cycle. Likewise, student learning outcomes have increased by 45.47%. In the first cycle students who completed learning reached 31.80%, while in the second cycle it reached 77.27%. In the first cycle there were 15 students who scored below the KKM 75, and only 7 students who got the same score and above the KKM. The average score of students only reached 65.31. Furthermore, in the second cycle only 5 students who scored below the KKM, and 17 students who got the same score or above the KKM. The average score of students reached 77.03

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of instructional media in science learning. The subjects of this study were students of grade 7 SMP. The data collection technique used was non-participant, with the sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The results showed that the percentage of student responses from SMPIT Al-Yasmin Bogor to learning media with an indicator of the use of learning media was 83.67% on average, on the indicators of students' attitudes towards using media an average of 70.80%, on the indicator of the frequency of using learning media obtained average response is 70.83% and indicators of benefits in using learning media get an average percentage of 68.86%. Through this research, it was revealed that the use of science learning media in grade 7 SMPIT Al-Yasmin Bogor was good and varied.

Abstract

This study aims to determine to find out how far students' critical thinking skills are. Through the description above, the researcher plans to determine the critical disposition ability profile of students in one of the schools in Palembang. This research was conducted in one of the schools in Palembang. The total sample is 70 people. The instruments used in this research are Critical Thinking Disposition Test and Critical Thinking Ability test. Data analysis using SPSS version 22 software application. The critical thinking ability of high school students in biology learning is still low, because the average value obtained is still less than the KKM. Meanwhile, the students' critical disposition ability is thickly proportional, because the average value obtained is in the good category. Based on these results, it was found that there was no relationship between critical thinking skills and critical disposition because there was no association between the two.

Abstract

This research seeks to (1) obtain an overview concerning the biology learning process, (2) obtain an overview concerning the decision-making skill level of student. This research implemented qualitative method. The research subject consisted of 11th grade student of SMAN 1 Cihaurbeuti. The sample of the research was selected through snowball sampling. The data collection technique used was non-participant. The research instrument used in the study is a decision-making skill instrument. The research results revealed that decision-making skill of students are still at the low criteria.

Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa sangat dibutuhkan pada pembelajaran matematika.Kemampuan komunikasi yang rendah dapat menimbulkan kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan matematika khususnya di soal cerita.Penelitian ini menguraikan kesalahan siswa dalam menuntaskan soal tes komunikasi matematis secara tertulis. Pendekatan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan deskriptif untuk memaparkan secara jelas, teperinci dan menyeluruh deskripsi level kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan mengacu pada teori Pirie-Kieren. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menggambarkan komunikasi matematis siswa yang mengalami folding back ketika menyelesaikan soal cerita materi bilangan berdasarkan teori Pirie-Kieren. Siswa dengan kemampuan tinggi mengomunikasikan folding back-nya dengan efektif, jelas dan disertai alasan yang logis serta menuliskan respons hasil folding back-nya dengan benar dan terurut. Sedangkan siswa yang berkemampuan pada rata-rata mengalami folding back setelah ditemukan intervensi.Namun, siswa yang mengomunikasikan hasil folding back dengan jelas dan terurut, kadang masih terdapat kesalahan pada solusi akhir jawabannya.Hasil analisis ini ditemukan bahwa terdapat kesamaan dalam kemampuan komunikasi siswa sekolah dasar dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita materi bilangan, yaitu dimulai dari tahap image making, bergerak menuju image having, selanjutnya berkembang pada tahap property noticing sampai pada tahap formalizing. Perbedaannya hanya terletak pada proses folding back.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh model think talk write dipadukan dengan picture card dalam meningkatkan berpikir kritis pada mata pelajaran IPA di Kelas V MI Plus Jâ-alHaq kota Bengkulu. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif quasi eksperiment dengan menggunakan perhitungan aplikasi SPSS. Teknik pengumpulan datanya yaitu tes, daftar nilai dan dokumentasi. Uji validitas soal tes menggunakan rumus ko-relasi product moment sedangkan uji reliabilitasnya menggunakan rumus alfa cronbach. Dalam penelitian ini uji normalitas menggunakan SPSS kolmogorov-smirnov dan Shapiro Wilk test, sedangkan uji hipotesis datanya merupakan uji t berpasangan (paired t-test). Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model think talk write dipadukan dengan picture card dalam meningkatkan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA Kelas V MI Plus Jâ-alHaq Kota Bengkulu

Abstract

Secara umum, anak-anak di sekolah menunjukkan berbagai karakter unik, baik fisik, mental, intelektual, atau sosio-emosional. Sementara beberapa siswa melaksanakan tugas belajar mereka dengan lancar dan sukses, yang lain memiliki berbagai masalah belajar. Keunikan belajar inilah yang menjadi tantangan guru untuk dihadapi. Materi IPA yang harus dihadapi oleh anak-anak merupakan konsep yang harus dipahami secara komprehensif. Tujuan penelitiannya adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA di kelas 6 SD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Sejumlah dua siklus dilaksanakan untuk penelitian ini. Akhir siklus ke-dua telah didapatkan bahwa siswa telah memenuhi KKM. Selama pembelajaran siswa diberikan perlakuan berupa pengaplikasian media puzzle. Data dikumpulkan dengan tes hasil belajar, lembar observasi dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada pretest hasil belajar rata-rata hanya 58,91 dengan ketuntasan belajar hanya 30,43% (7 siswa), 10 siswa belum mencapai KKM. Pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan rata-rata KKM yaitu 56, 52% (13 siswa) telah tuntas KKM. Pada akhir siklus sudah mencapai 87,17% siswa sudah menuntaskan KKM
