Abstract

Nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is a malignant disease of the nasopharyngeal epithelium. This malignancy is often found in the Rosenmüller fossa. This tumor can spread to various areas and organs of this structure, including the nasal cavity, skull base, parapharyngeal space, and oropharynx. Diet, oncovirus infection, Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), and genetic alterations are some of the causes of NPC development. SMARCA2 is considered a tumor suppressor. To date, very few studies have comprehensively studied the mechanism of SMARCA2 inactivation. Multi-omics analysis was used to study the mechanism of SMARCA2 inactivation in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database, and the dCas9-DNMT3a system was used to assess the role of promoter methylation in regulating SMARCA2 transcription. Decreased SMARCA2 expression was significantly associated with SMARCA2 promoter hypermethylation. This study aims to examine the influence of Smarca2 expression on tumor mass expansion, lymph node enlargement, and histopathological type of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. This study used a cross-sectional analytical study design by collecting secondary data from medical records of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients. The results showed that tumor expansion in NPC patients was generally T3 and T4, with a total of 17 people (68%). Enlarged lymph nodes in the neck most often occurred in N2 and N3, with a total of 21 people (84%). The majority of patients were also in clinical stages III and IV as many as 23 people (92%).

Abstract

Anemia in pregnant women is a global health problem, with a prevalence reaching 48.9% in Indonesia according to the 2021 Basic Health Research (Riskesdas), which significantly impacts both the mother and the fetus. Positive attitudes toward anemia prevention have been shown to increase adherence to iron supplementation, but valid and reliable instruments for measuring attitudes are still limited. This study aims to develop a theory-based and psychometric-based instrument for measuring attitudes toward anemia prevention in pregnant women. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach with 30 pregnant women in the PMB (PMB) area of Bekasi, using a 60-item questionnaire with a 4-point Likert scale. Validity was tested using Pearson Product Moment correlation and reliability using Cronbach's Alpha. The results showed that all 60 items were valid with a correlation coefficient of 0.379–0.818 (r table = 0.361) and very high reliability (α = 0.959). The instrument consists of six dimensions: understanding, seriousness of the problem, threat, preventive behavior, healthy hygiene behavior, and anemia management. Pregnant women's attitudes are a form of internal evaluation that reflects knowledge, feelings, and behavioral tendencies towards various aspects of pregnancy, including anemia prevention efforts. This attitude is formed from personal experiences, information obtained, and the influence of the social environment such as family and health workers. Further research recommendations include validation on larger samples and implementation as a screening tool in maternal health programs to increase the effectiveness of anemia prevention.

Abstract

Fire is a disaster with a high risk of causing casualties and material losses. World Fire is a disaster with a high risk of causing loss of life and material loss. World Fire Statistics (2022) data recorded more than 3.7 million global fires with losses of approximately USD 50 billion per year. Meanwhile, in Indonesia, there were 10,000 cases in 2021 and 1,624 cases in DKI Jakarta in 2022. This condition emphasizes the importance of fire protection systems in public facilities, including the DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office Building. This study aims to evaluate active and passive fire protection systems, and life-saving facilities based on Ministerial Regulation No. 26 of 2008 and SNI. The method used was descriptive qualitative with observation, interviews, and document review. The results showed that the fire protection system was in place but not functioning optimally. Active protection was ineffective due to damage to the MCFA, which resulted in the inoperability of alarms, detectors, sprinklers, and hydrants. While fire extinguishers functioned but did not meet placement standards. Passive protection was generally appropriate, but there were deficiencies such as materials and partitions that were not certified fire-resistant, cracks in walls, and fire doors without smoke seals. Lifesaving facilities are relatively up to standard, although evacuation routes remain obstructed, emergency exits difficult to use, assembly points unsafe, and lighting and evacuation signs inadequate. Repairs, maintenance, and regular monitoring are recommended to ensure the safety of building occupants.

Abstract

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2023, LBP (Low Back Pain) is the number one cause of disability in the world, with 619 million sufferers in 2020 and is estimated to increase to 843 million cases in 2050. LBP is often experienced by workers due to non-ergonomic working positions, long working hours, and repetitive activities. This complaint can be caused by various factors, both identifiable and unidentifiable. This study aims to determine the relationship between individual factors (age and gender) and work factors (work position, work period, work duration, and repetition) with the incidence of LBP in employees of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Health Office in 2025. This study used a cross-sectional design with 63 respondents selected through a total sampling technique. The research instrument was a questionnaire whose validity and reliability had been tested using the Chi-Square test at the 95% level. The results of the study showed that individual factors in the form of age and gender and work factors in the form of work duration were not related to the occurrence of LBP, while work factors in the form of work position, work period, and repetitive activities were related to the occurrence of LBP. Research recommendations include efforts to maintain spinal health by paying attention to body position while working, implementing short stretches at certain hours, the 20-20-20 rule, and the preparation of formal regulations in the form of SOPs, SKPs, or Circular Letters to prevent LBP on an ongoing basis.

Abstract

Work productivity is a crucial factor in determining the success of an organization or company. In the informal sector, productivity is often not formally recorded, but can be estimated through indirect indicators such as production output, work completion duration, and frequency of labor involvement. Labor productivity is a key determinant in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the production process. Several factors are known to influence productivity levels, including work climate, nutritional status, and individual characteristics such as age, gender, education level, and length of service. This study aims to analyze factors related to the productivity levels of tofu processing workers at the Doa Ibu Tofu Factory in East Jakarta. This study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The entire population of 34 processing workers was sampled using a total sampling technique. Data collection was carried out through direct measurements using WBGT (work climate), Body Mass Index (nutritional status), and questionnaires (age, gender, education, length of service, and productivity). Some respondents were recorded as having low productivity levels (50%). The results of the chi-square analysis showed that there was no significant relationship between the variables of work climate (p = 1,000), nutritional status (p = 0.214), age (p = 0.335), gender (p = 1,000), education (p = 0.398), and length of service (p = 1,000) on productivity (p > 0.05). However, monitoring working conditions and nutritional status is still recommended as an effort to increase workforce productivity.

Abstract

Occupational Contact Dermatitis (OCD) is a contact dermatitis disease obtained from work, due to the interaction between the skin and substances used in the work environment. These substances irritate the skin, causing damage and stimulating inflammatory reactions, so that skin irritation is the most common cause of dermatitis. Therefore, to find out and understand more deeply about occupational contact dermatitis, especially in hairdressers, it is felt necessary to conduct a study on the factors that influence the incidence of occupational contact dermatitis in salon employees. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the incidence of OCD in salon workers in Lamongan District. This research method is qualitative with a cross-sectional design and this research instrument uses the Simple Random Sampling technique and the Slovin formula. The results of this study were processed using the Multiple Logistic Regression statistical test which obtained a p-value <0.05, which means that there is an influence between the length of contact (p-value 0.044) and personal hygiene (p-value 0.033) with the incidence of OCD. There is a significant relationship between contact duration and personal hygiene with the incidence of DKAK among salon workers in Lamongan District. Suggestions for Improvements include conducting regular education, ensuring the presence of supervisors at all work activities, and collaborating with local community health centers regarding periodic skin examinations.
