Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of Curriculum Management in enhancing teacher readiness for the Deep Learning Curriculum at SD Negeri 4 Bondo, Jepara. The research highlights the critical need to strengthen the principal’s role in supporting teachers to adapt to educational reforms requiring innovation and independent learning. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews and literature analysis. The findings indicate that effective Curriculum Management significantly improves teacher readiness. The principal provides strong moral, spiritual, and material support, including monthly teacher learning communities (KOMBEL), access to technology, and budget allocation for professional development. Additionally, the principal actively motivates, mentors, and ensures teachers have access to relevant learning resources. Despite these efforts, challenges remain, such as limited technological infrastructure, insufficient teacher competence in media development, and resistance to curriculum changes. The study concludes that Curriculum Management contributes positively to teacher preparedness for the Deep Learning Curriculum. However, continuous improvement is required in facility support, ongoing teacher training, and strategic leadership to overcome implementation barriers and sustain educational transformation.

Abstract

School financial management is a vital component in supporting the effectiveness and quality of education. However, the implementation of accountability principles at the elementary level often faces various challenges, such as limited administrative skills, lack of transparency, and low stakeholder participation. This study aims to examine the implementation of accountability principles within the framework of School-Based Management (SBM) in managing school finances at SD Negeri 1 Tanjung, Jepara. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observations, and documentation. Research subjects included the principal, treasurer, teachers, and school committee. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, and data validity was ensured through triangulation of sources and methods. The results show that the school has applied several accountability procedures, including participatory planning through RKAS, digital financial reporting via ARKAS, and public transparency efforts such as financial disclosures in meetings and notice boards. Nonetheless, the school still encounters challenges such as delayed government funding disbursements, limited financial administration skills, and passive community involvement. This study provides valuable insights for improving financial governance in schools by recommending regular capacity-building training, the use of user-friendly digital systems, and increased community participation in financial oversight. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for similar schools and inform local education authorities in developing more accountable school financial management practices.

Abstract

This study aims to design and produce a 3D animation titled AM BAND as an educational medium based on interactive multimedia. AM BAND is a virtual band that performs the song “Animasi UNP” with digitally animated characters synchronized to the music. The production process includes stages of modeling, rigging, animating, texturing, lighting, rendering, and editing, utilizing Blender and Mixamo. The development method employed is the linear (Waterfall) model, supported by SWOT analysis techniques. The final result demonstrates strengths in visual and educational aspects, although certain technical challenges remain. This product is expected to serve as a creative and inspirational reference for digital animation learning within academic settings.

Abstract

The objective of this investigation is to examine the extent to which the use of the paper-based Quizizz platform impacts the learning process in improving students’ academic achievement and critical thinking skills. This research employed a pre-experimental approach utilizing a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample was randomly selected from one of the seventh-grade classes. Data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments to assess learning outcomes, along with a critical thinking test. The analysis revealed an average N-Gain score of 0.82, which falls into the high category. Statistical testing using the Paired Sample T-Test yielded a significance value of 0.00, indicating a statistically significant improvement in learning outcomes. A separate One Sample T-Test also revealed a significance level of 0.00 for critical thinking, confirming a significant enhancement in students’ critical thinking abilities. Further analysis of each test item demonstrated that all questions were effective in measuring various aspects of critical thinking, including interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and drawing conclusions. These findings suggest that implementing paper-based Quizizz as a learning tool can effectively foster comprehensive critical thinking and deepen students’ understanding of the subject matter.

Abstract

The development of information technology has driven digital transformation in various fields, including the higher education sector. One technology that plays a crucial role in this process is cloud computing, which offers elastic, flexible, and efficient computing services over the internet. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to describe and analyze the implementation of cloud computing technology in higher education institutions based on a literature review from various relevant sources. The study focuses on the benefits gained, challenges faced, and possible implementation strategies. The analysis shows that cloud computing technology can improve operational efficiency, expand access to data and academic services, and strengthen collaboration among academics. However, several obstacles need to be anticipated, particularly those related to data security, network infrastructure reliability, and human resource readiness. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for higher education institutions in planning effective and sustainable cloud computing implementation.

Abstract

Conceptual understanding ability is the most basic ability that is very necessary for students in mastering learning materials. Based on initial observations in class II MIS Islamiyah Sunggal, it shows that students' conceptual understanding ability in flat shape material is still relatively low. The purpose of this study is to analyze students' conceptual understanding ability in flat shape material in class II MIS Islamiyah Sunggal. This study is a descriptive qualitative field study. The subjects in this study were students of class II MIS Islamiyah Sunggal. The data collection method used interview, observation and documentation techniques. Data collection was carried out using data reduction techniques, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study can be concluded that: Students' conceptual understanding ability in learning mathematics on flat shape material for class II at MIS Islamiyah Sunggal, can be categorized as good. Students are able to restate a concept, classify concepts based on their properties, and can give examples of a concept. From the value of students' understanding of flat shape material, the overall percentage has reached 90% of students who have achieved a value above the minimum standard value. Supporting factors in understanding students' concepts are Facilities, Educators, Motivation and good student absorption. While inhibiting factors are Lack of enthusiasm and active learning of students, and Lack of Practice and Habits in Solving Problems.

Abstract

The mangrove ecosystem in Enggano Island, Bengkulu Province, plays a crucial ecological role in preventing coastal abrasion, absorbing carbon, and providing habitat for various coastal species. However, low public awareness especially among younger generations regarding mangrove conservation remains a significant challenge. The Mangrove Warrior Cilik program in Enggano Island aimed to foster environmental awareness from an early age through education and hands-on mangrove seedling activities. This program involved sixth-grade students from SDN 053 Bengkulu Utara using a participatory and educational approach. The results showed improved student understanding of mangrove functions, along with increased awareness and active involvement in environmental conservation. This program demonstrates that experiential-based education is effective in shaping students’ environmental concern and commitment to preserving coastal ecosystems.

Abstract

The process of creating learning materials in the form of interactive Powtoon videos with the aim of achieving a high level of validity, usability, and efficacy in helping junior high school students to improve their learning outcomes regarding the excretory system is the main focus of this research. Analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation are the five main stages of the ADDIE development model, which is the methodology used in this study for research and development (R&D). Tests to measure learning outcomes, student response questionnaires, and expert validation sheets are some of the methods used to collect data. Data analysis was conducted through validity testing using Aiken's V formula, practicality evaluation based on the percentage of student responses, and effectiveness analysis using the N-Gain value approach. The validation results obtained a score of 0.88, which shows that the media is in a very valid category. Meanwhile, the practicality level of the media reached 86%, indicating that the media is very practical to use. In terms of effectiveness, the N-Gain value of 0.67 is classified as moderate. Based on these overall findings, it can be concluded that Powtoon-based interactive videos are feasible as an alternative science learning media that is innovative, effective, and relevant in supporting students' understanding of excretory system material at the junior high school level.

Abstract

This research investigates how effective the Talking Chips type of cooperative learning model is in enhancing students' ability to communicate scientifically, particularly in the excretory system topic. A quasi-experimental design with a Nonequivalent Control Group format was employed. The control group received instruction through traditional teaching methods, whereas the experimental group implemented the Talking Chips strategy. The study involved 60 eighth-grade students from SMP Negeri 13 Banjarmasin as participants. Research tools included observation forms, surveys, and both pretests and posttests. The data were examined using qualitative descriptive analysis along with the Independent Sample T-Test. The results showed: (1) the experimental group achieved a scientific communication score of 61.15 (moderate level), while the control group scored only 47.09 (low level); (2) a significant difference in scientific communication skills existed between the two groups; and (3) learning outcomes also differed significantly between them. The N-Gain score for the control group was 0.55, indicating moderate improvement, while the experimental group reached 0.77, classified as a high level of improvement. These findings suggest that applying the Talking Chips cooperative learning model effectively enhances students’ scientific communication skills when learning about the excretory system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using Canva as a learning medium on students’ learning interest in Design subjects at SMK Negeri 3 Kuningan. The research employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 30 tenth-grade students of the Visual Communication Design program. A learning interest questionnaire was administered before and after the treatment. The results showed that the average pretest score was 32.03, which increased to 43.47 in the posttest. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test yielded Z = -4.579 with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between pretest and posttest. The effect size calculation produced r = 0.85, which is categorized as very large. These findings confirm that Canva has a strong effect in enhancing students’ learning interest and can serve as an effective, interactive, and engaging learning medium.
