Abstract

Adaptive learning supported by digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and online learning platforms, has great potential to improve student engagement and learning outcomes. By adapting course material to each student's abilities, learning style and pace, this course allows for a more personalized and effective learning experience. However, in Indonesia, the main challenges faced in its implementation are the digital divide between urban and rural areas and the readiness of teachers to use technology. Improving technological infrastructure and training for educators is very necessary to maximize the potential of adaptive learning. This research aims to identify challenges and opportunities in implementing adaptive learning in Indonesia, as well as how technology can be optimized to support the development of more inclusive and effective education.

Abstract

One of the uses of biodiversity is an inventory of bananas in Tanjung Saleh Village, Kubu Raya Regency, which is included in the module teaching materials including a concise, structured description, so that it is easy to understand and it is hoped that students will be able to involve themselves in achieving improvements in banana varieties in the future. The aim of this research is to determine the feasibility of the sub-material module of the biodiversity concept based on the results of a banana inventory in Tanjung Saleh Village, Kuburaya Regency, West Kalimantan. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with the data collection instrument used is validation of the product to be developed. Data analysis techniques are a method used to systematically compile data obtained from the results of instruments given to validators and students. Validation data were analyzed using Content Validity Ratio (CVR) analysis. The five aspects that were validated were appropriateness of content, language, presentation, graphics and effectiveness. Of the five aspects, there are seventeen criteria that are assessed to test the suitability of the module so that it can be seen whether the module is suitable or not suitable for use as teaching material in the learning process at school. The research results show that the module feasibility validation results of 0.99 are declared feasible, so the module can be used as teaching material in the biodiversity concept sub-material for class X SMA/MA.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning (PBL) model on students' activities and learning outcomes on human excretory system material in class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan. This research uses quantitative methods with a pseudo-experimental approach. The research design used was non-equivalent control group. The study population included all VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan, consisting of 11 classes. The research sample was selected using purposive sampling technique, class VIII-6 as the experimental class and class VIII-7 as the control class. The average pre-test and post-test data of cognitive abilities in the experimental class were 33.6 and 83 and in the control class were 33.8 and 78.3. Based on hypothesis testing, for the experimental class and control class obtained tcount = 4.1308 and ttable = 2.0017, then tcount > ttable. The results of observations of student activity from meeting one to meeting three have increased, in the experimental class is 63.62% and in the control class is 58.73%, it is concluded that there is an effect of the problem-based learning (PBL) model on student activity and learning outcomes on the material of the human excretory system.

Abstract

The STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) curriculum plays a crucial role in preparing students to face challenges in the digital and globalized era. This study aims to analyze the importance of the STEM curriculum in modern education, as well as the challenges faced in its implementation in Indonesia. Using a literature review method, this research identifies various factors affecting the effectiveness of the STEM curriculum, including teacher training, educational infrastructure, and policy support. The findings indicate that while the STEM curriculum can enhance students' interest in science and technology, challenges in its application still need to be addressed. Therefore, collaboration between the government, schools, and communities is essential to optimize the implementation of the STEM curriculum, enabling students to develop relevant skills for an increasingly complex future.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Discovery Learning model in the Introduction of School Environment (PLP) activities at SMAN 6 Pandeglang in Science and Technology subjects. The approach used is mix-method with descriptive method through observation, development of teaching tools, teaching practice, and data analysis of learning outcomes. Quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS with normality test and t-test to determine the suitability of the model at various grade levels. The results show that some classes require diverse learning models according to student characteristics, while other classes can use similar models with optimal results. These findings support the implementation of differentiation-based learning in Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes flexibility and adaptation of teaching tools. This research confirms the importance of continuous evaluation and the implementation of appropriate learning strategies to improve the effectiveness of classroom learning.

Abstract

Student and Teacher Respondents on Students' Critical Thinking Skills at SMAN 7 Pekanbaru, This study aims to determine the respondents of teachers and students in critical thinking at SMAN 7 Pekanbaru in the 2024/2025 academic year. The type of data in this study is a type of qualitative descriptive data, the sample in the study used simple random sampling, where the sample in this study was taken randomly, where only 1 student was taken from each class. The data obtained in this study were in the form of interview results to determine the responses of teachers and students of class XI SMAN 7 Pekanbaru to critical thinking skills. Based on the results of the study, it showed that teachers used a systematic evaluation method and focused on developing students' critical thinking skills. The evaluation given is based on questions that are already in the textbook. This approach not only emphasizes the final result, but also pays attention to the student learning process. Based on student interviews, it was shown that teachers routinely conduct evaluations with various approaches in compiling questions. Although the evaluation results were considered quite good, there are still opportunities to improve quality, especially in supporting students who face difficulties.

Abstract

Biomass is waste from industry and household waste, so utilizing biomass is a way to overcome waste problems. As the population increases and fossil fuel reserves become increasingly depleted, new and renewable alternative fuels that are environmentally friendly, effective and efficient are urgently needed. One of the new and renewable alternative energy sources is sugarcane bagasse biomass. In steam power plants, fuel is an important part of the power generation process device. The type of fuel is also always a consideration because fuel is the main device for generating steam electricity. Apart from diesel, sugarcane bagasse is also an option as a fuelfor power plants. Comparison of economic analysis costs for bagasse = IDR 20,097,001/hour Coal = IDR 39,193,190/hour to produce 11 MW of electricity. So bagasse can be used as fuel which is more economical in terms of fuel procurement costs compared to coal

Abstract

This study aims to identify the need for an integrated e-module containing spiritual and moral values (IMTAQ) among teachers and students at SMAS YLPI Pekanbaru. The e-module is an electronic-based module accessible via computers or Android devices, containing text, images, and videos that incorporate elements of IMTAQ values. The research was conducted at SMAS YLPI Pekanbaru during the 2024 academic year using a descriptive qualitative research method. Based on interviews conducted by the researcher with biology teachers and 10 grade XI students at SMAS YLPI Pekanbaru, it was found that teachers had never used an e-module as a teaching medium and had not integrated IMTAQ values into the teaching materials they used. Data analysis revealed that both teachers and students at SMAS YLPI Pekanbaru require an e-module integrated with IMTAQ values.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan media pembelajaran biologi di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Siak Hulu. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan penelitian survei. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan melalui wawancara dan angket. Populasi data penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas VIII, sedangkan sempel yang digunakan diambil secara acak dari seluruh kelas VIII yaitu kelas VIII-I dengan jumlah 32 orang siswa. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan angka 80% dengan kategori baik siswa membutuhkan media pembelajaran, sehingga dapat disimpulkan pada penelitian ini bahwa diperlukan pengembangan media pembelajaran yang efektif untuk siswa berupa flashcard pada materi sistem pernapasan manusia.

Abstract

The increasing use of games in learning shows significant potential to increase student motivation. This research aims to explore students' perceptions of the use of games in science learning on Ecology and Biodiversity material. The method used is a descriptive survey with a questionnaire distributed to junior high school students. The results show that the majority of students have a positive perception of the use of games in learning, especially in increasing motivation and understanding of the material. The use of games in science learning has the potential to increase student motivation, but care needs to be taken to ensure that game content remains relevant to the learning objectives.
